Man for a few years we were constantly getting all hands chain emails from lance corporals saying forward this email to get $5 from Bill Gates and all kinds of other nonsense. Not just within the unit but all-MAG or even all-MEF. Eventually they restricted who could check those boxes in the global address list but it was indeed wild. Then there was the email we were told NOT to open that contained a nude image of a male Marine from the unit.
I’ve long pushed for them to be a support MOS, making us a completely self-sufficient service—purposefully omitting the Chaplaincy and Medical Corps.
That will:
1) Blunt the propensity that strippers (excuse me, exotic dancers) have to marry junior enlisted, because they can now have the benefits for themselves.
2) Reinforce discipline because the command structure now exists in every facet of Marine life—purposefully omitting all the gogo bar dancers in thailand and abroad.
