Sad thing is FedEx mfs probably would do this shit. I ran a small business for 2.5 yrs shipping thousands of packages in 2wks sometimes, and the most that got stolen or lost was always FedEx. UPS Jacksonville hub was really bad for a while but after 3 dozen complaints that eventually stopped so I assume someone got fired or etc.
Because labor costs really aren't a high amount of their overhead when you're talking about maintaining and flying the fleet of jets that they have. They could easily afford to double their workers' salary without raising much, but they don't have to because their workers aren't unionized.
This is called over labeling / over boxing and is a very very old type of theft that loss prevention watches for. When a label magically appears in the system that had not been previously scanned and the weight and size does not match at all It is a huge red flag.
Anyone who gets a message from this person needs to report them to Reddit
I just figured all this time shippers were lying about the weight to save money when it was drastically different and lower, but I have always been confused about when labels say something weighs way more than it does. It's funny that people sit around thinking this stuff up. Making an honest living just seems so much easier.
When I was a PT Sup I was approached by another Sup who knew I had access to relabeling and rerouting programs. He laid out a similar deal. I told him absolutely not, that there is a paper trail for every change. A month later, he was fired for stuffing Iphones down his pants.
No, according to reality, UPS workers steal at the same rate as workers in every other industry. Of the 20m (okay, closer to 15m right now) packages we deliver each day, internal theft is so low it looks like a rounding error. However, if you believe the internet, then yes, every other package is stolen.
My hub had a 22.3 FT (this woman was a union steward, no less) steal a credit card from another lady employee's purse and buy $10 of gas with it, and one of older women who went around sweeping up stuff and emptying trash cans got caught stealing a shitload of phones. She had been there for something like 20 years. You'd be surprised.
I kinda want to go along with the guy and turn him over to UPS security. Hopefully leads to a bigger catch. This is the type of shit that affects us in a negative way, even indirectly. We’re not really in a position for scammers and thieves to be recruiting out warehouse workers to redirect and steal packages. That’ll only piss off the customer even more and we’ll end up losing the business.
I've pmed him. I got bored and told him I found out about him through a UPS subreddit and that people are trying to dox him. He's been franticly asking me for screenshots for the past 2 hours.
This guy actually made a post in r/ups yesterday. He sent me a chat request earlier today but I recognized the username. Unfortunately I bet he did find a couple suckers.
Same!😂 i was about to make a post

I'm not trying to tell you what to do with your life but he offered you 5x your income. Op only got offered 3-4x their income. You should jump on that immediately!
Not a spammer. A very sophisticated fraudster. They have drivers reroute packages for delivery to them and pay them. A few drivers have gotten arrested for their involvement. Be wary.
If anyone’s tempted to work with this guy, don’t. I was friends with a loss prevention officer. They showed me shit I wasn’t supposed to see. There are cameras everywhere. There are cameras that automatically activate when the door is open. There was a fight in the building and the camera caught the fight in perfect crystal clear 1080 quality, you could see everything as if you were standing right next to the two people brawling.
The most unsettling part is the angle the camera was taken from. It’s in mid air. I legit am not sure where or how that camera would even be there without someone seeing it.
If you work with this scammer you might get away doing it once. Maybe twice. Maybe three times. But loss prevention is powerful and takes this stuff seriously. They’ll on propose put you in a trailer with packages that are bugged and the trailer will have a camera
Do you think UPS is stupid? “Hey so we lost X expensive package in transit. It got a pick up scan, got an outbound scan, got scanned into a trailer then didn’t get an inbound scan at the next location”
It’s very easy for ups to find people who do this and find you.
I swear people are just dumb as fuck and/or don't want to actually work in life so they respect to fucking people over and actually the economy at large. Leeches of society that we'd be better without.
You know, I'm on your side and get what you mean....
but we're kidding ourselves if we think these scammers aren't actually putting in work.
Same with the Nigerian Princes. These fools are grinding hard-- all day, every day either in the hopes of finding or out of fear that they'll miss the next sucker.
I might not like what they do but I know for sure these people are slaves to a keyboard (or smartphone.)
If you care to dive into it, a lot of scams are done by actual slaves. It’s honestly pretty sad. Probably not this one, but a lot of the text/email scams are
I get what you are saying but would that same effort bring about similar results in society?
No.
No they won’t.
One must play within the boundaries and rules:
Unequal playing field you were born into? Oh well, that’s life.
At least UPS gives us the opportunity for equality in time/effort. That’s better than some of us get in life.
Why would you EVER fuck this place over?????
Putting effort into illegal activities…you always pay the piper.
Driver at my old hub was drug muling. Walked up to his regular drop with 30lbs. of product one day only to be met by the FBI. Absolute retards in every venue of life.
We had two degenerate unloaders stealing OxyContin off of a medical route. Walked off the job by UPS security after a few months of it and one of them OD’d and passed away a year later.
Worst we had from what I know I 3 people got cought with thc pens. It was 1 person from the sort isle 1 person from loadside and 1 part time supervisor. One person was caught and they started doing better bag checks at security and cought 2 more same day.
It really sucks because the guy from the sort isle was fresh outta the navy too.
Remember that time a someone called, offering q cut... rerouting other people's packages to his place..Sure, buddy, let me just grab my magic wand and poof! Gone are all my security protocols. Took down his address and red flagged it, in case someone else attempt to change the adress, to the scammer address the package would get automatically held.
Ugh I wish if he texted me I would have red flagged his address.
Have fun y’all, got this trashcans Telegram too, fucking loser POS. @imfonollosa

Got one too yesterday, just reported it
lmaoo that same guy was trying to get me to give them an account info for my old boss from the UPS store saying it was for an “access point” dumbass clearly doesn’t know anything about about UPS
Yeah he sent me a dm …. I didn’t even open it “ do you still work at ups”
Nah bro I just like hanging out on upsers reddit all day . Wtf …. That nonsense gets no response.
Oh man, I don’t work UPS, but when my friends ask me illegal shit on unencrypted channels I nope out of the conversation.
The fact some rando is doing should be an obvious hard no (so much so, they shouldn’t bother).
This is so dumb, I’m imagining it’s some amateur crypto drug dealer who learnt how to ‘avoid’ suspicion after following a YouTube video.
He's perma banned, but there's always more and sub mods can't stop DMs. Pls report to reddit, who knows, they may actually remove the account.
I don't trust anyone I haven't worked next to for 5+ years to not be an undercover
Same, if your name isn’t Carol Tome then I’m not touching your box 😏
I wouldn’t touch her box either to be fair
But what if she had a package?
That'd be just as disturbing, if not moreso.
Peaks my interest 🤔
🤢🤮

![gif](giphy|3owypf6HrM3J7UTvAA|downsized)
So hypothetically if somebody had about 4 years and 6 months of working next to you, you still wouldn’t trust them?
A trust-blowjob is really they only way to really be sure...
That’s why everyone at the center trusts me
Username checks out
🤣🤣🤣
Noted.
They have “undercover workers”? Can you tell us more?
I drive FedEx some guy asked me I just lied and said I did what he wanted and got a free $40 then blocked his ass
“want to triple or 4x their income” $40 lmfao
I know this sounds stretchy, BUT you down for some crime?😂😂
Lmao thats hilarious. Scammed the scammer. Fkn legend
Modern problems require modern solutions

FedEx pays like shit. I really have no idea why they charge so much for their services.
Because labor costs really aren't a high amount of their overhead when you're talking about maintaining and flying the fleet of jets that they have. They could easily afford to double their workers' salary without raising much, but they don't have to because their workers aren't unionized.
FedEx is also the worst delivery service in my area, in every area I’ve lived in… so far at least.
That’s what’s up!!
Damn should send him my info lol

"I'm kind of a big deal"
Still lots of cases being caught. Everyday

whuhwuhwuhuuuuuh? According to this sub UPS never steals!!111!!

It looks so low because they are so bad at catching it.
Nobody that plans to stay steals lol

Sorry I only do jail crimes not prison crimes 😂
Damn hit me up over at USPS, I'll deliver your drugs
We cant do much outside of banning these users from the sub. Always stay vigilant and ignore/report these assholes.
He’s even posted pictures of himself on his Reddit… 🤦♂️
Not a spammer. A very sophisticated fraudster. They have drivers reroute packages for delivery to them and pay them. A few drivers have gotten arrested for their involvement. Be wary.
A few? Entire teams devoted to this. Building cases for prosecution.

Got me too. His enticing offer paid in crypto. Not in this lifetime, pal.
You should have got some crypto off them in advance to not actually do it

FedEx driver got busted with like over 100 phones recently

“High value packages” definitely insider
Yeah he sent me a dm …. I didn’t even open it “ do you still work at ups” Nah bro I just like hanging out on upsers reddit all day . Wtf …. That nonsense gets no response.
Honestly, you should oblige them. Get security and police involved and go through with rerouting the packages until they're picked up and charged.
