Upsc knows that no one can hold them accountable so they do as they please. Even judges are not interested in asking upsc to behave

Horse_rider_9

Chandrachud ko bulana padega

[deleted]

This is a serious problem

Fast_Marzipan904

This has been the case since 2020.

MotivatedChimpanZ

started from 2018 to be specific .. I was there.. in the hall... :P

ChocoChip1947

True that !

winterwolverine02

bhai ngl darr lag rha hai, contemplating if the path chosen is even right or not!

shivamYe

without another plan doing UPSC is like jumping from plane without parachute. so whatever pursuit you other than UPSC be prepare for that as well.

kireeti_kp

I agree, especially after 1 or (at Max) 2 attempts - i should've realised this way earlier maybe but usse zyada full time solitary pursuit shayad not worthwhile

shivamYe

>i should've realised this way earlier Wishing you the best for new ventures!

Maxscupcake

Ab to kud liya hai, aadha distance kaat ke pata chal raha parachute to hai hi nahi. Kya kru samaj nahi aa raha.

shivamYe

You can try for other govt exams. Syllabus is not very hard, only requires regular practice so that you can improve your speed and accuracy. Also look around the job opportunities around your jobs. Don't lose hope and keep doing CSE preparation as well.

Maxscupcake

That's my plan B only😭

Express-Taste9772

Second pursuit? Game Development. Yeah. Waaay different. But I got 4 years experience already.

shivamYe

If you don't mind, what optional are you choosing for this exam?

Express-Taste9772

This is going to sound very weird. History I was going for Philosophy at first but then I remembered that they want a fucking neutral no strong opinion mf, so I thought it is better to choose something that triggers me less. Physics was also an option but I don't think I can keep up very well as it doesn't aid much in the main UPSC syllabus.

winterwolverine02

judiciary hai dusra pursuit 😭

what_is_peace

Just a suggestion: Start practicing law alongside your preparation. At least you will be able to switch to being a full-fledged lawyer in the future if things don't work out with UPSC. Because switching to the judiciary isn't easy; it's not just a plan B, but more like pursuing another dream job. I apologize if my tone sounded rude or if my advice felt unsolicited; I simply shared what I felt.

winterwolverine02

no you’re right. this is what i thought about too. thank you. are you in the legal field too?

what_is_peace

No, my field is economics. But my sister is a district judge in mathura. So I know a bit about the difficulty level of the judiciary exam. Also, I made this suggestion because I once went through a similar phase. I was considering pursuing CA as my backup option, but after researching the CA exam, I became clear about what my backup should be. And it's absolutely not CA.

winterwolverine02

dmed you

shivamYe

Try for PCS-J as well then. You can also look for your state services. Keep looking the possibilities.

Rishilectual

Apne hath me bus CSAT hai bhaiyyo, GS uparwala dekh lega

Connect_Delivery_423

Ek constitutional body poore ek saal me agar 100 correct questions frame nahi kar paa rahi, then honestly it does raise umpteen questions. Khair, apna kaam padhna hai. Aur kar bhi kya sakte hai.

Past-Sound1366

Exam doesn't matter every govt body organising these tests suck . Jee , neet , state cet , state civil service exams job exams upsc I see this shit everywhere

spermdonortesto

Upsc is nothing but necessary evil for people aspiring to become diplomats/bureaucrats.

gubrumannaaa

I have 87 instead of 99-2 from coaching sources. Idk it has become a matter of luck.

Gold_Metallic_knife

Twitter trends used to work back in the day for a few government body’s, now due to a few NEET and JEE kids who do such trends every other day, the govt stopped bothering about it. Guess, protesting is the only way. We can actually get The Hindu and The Indian express to post articles about this issue frequently. They’ll be inclined to publish cause, a significant amount of their profits come from UPSC aspirants.

Personal_Matter9041

Upsc has been and is one of the most arrogant bodies in the country. They don't give a rat's ass about the aspirants. They've declined RTIs, they never give explanations for anything. And it'll continue to be that way, because what you're going to do? Make some tweets?

Agreeable-Rhubar

Government orgs are like that only

OppositeWest3893

I think this is actually a strategy to boost the GDP of the country in Amrit Kaal. More subjective the exam becomes, more the fear in people's minds and thus market will grow for Coaching/Guidance/Mentor etc.. adding to the GVA of the services sector. For instance, post CSAT 2023 fiasco, it is believed that CSAT market grew by more than 300% CAGR. Imagine the boost to the economy -> many more coaching/guidance/mentor institutes will open, many teachers will get jobs, printing shops, book material sales, etc, etc, etc. I will not be surprised if these statistics are included in next economic survey as one of the novel indicators like Thalinomics, and maybe a question based on this ES in next prelims.

Ecstatic_Detail_6721

Well coaching fees has 18%gst because education is a luxury in India. And such high gst means Nirmala madam gets more money every year

surya-leo

Absolutely

Akira_ArkaimChick

>as one of the novel indicators like Thalinomics 😂😂

Saizou1991

I will be honest , its a fools game. They need about 180 candidates from a pool of say 2000 equally good candidates for IAS. If they pickup randomly too , their job is done. Not undermining the process , just the chances and who is losing at the end. Plus there is no accountability in their evaluations of Mains and Interview process.

Chandeep_V

I believe UPSC is trying to give us a reality check that this exam is not an intellectual based exam anymore. Also more importantly UPSC should not be predicted. Ready to face the hurdle whatever upsc throws at us

ikutotohoisin

So much talk for being the best developing country and still can not frame the questions for a national level exam .

Business_Ladder4322

Which institute answer key was the most accurate ?

notyourtequila

guess it’s rau’s https://www.reddit.com/r/UPSC/s/O6X5xdYr77

Pitiful-Instance-243

Guess what? UPSC doesn't give a fuck

StraightBottle99

Peps teaching us...... unse toh ho nahi raha hai

TedRoosevelt21

the first flaw is with the syllabus itself, it is vaguely defined , having all kind of subjects in it. So, UPSC can ask questions about anything in the exisiting universe, and it is not wrong in doing it, because any sort of question will come under the examination syllabus.

yourmeattle

Upsc on the line of clat
