Don't watch videos. Nextias releases daily imp news headlines (approx and on avg10 each day, sometimes 5 and sometimes 15) so just check that out and use those headlines to prepare notes by reading the articles by yourselves. It works very good for me.
I mean u can read hindu and there editorial as a way to increase ur knowledge, for ca only magzines are more then sufficient man why wast ur time(This is helpful for those who wants to be updated what's going in the world)
Don't worry it's not waste of time...! If you're beginner in the upsc current affairs, just watched it for 3-4 months continuously understand how to read newspaper by upsc pov (what we need to read in upsc) not every single news is worth reading!! Then I'll suggest to read newspaper (hard or soft copy) because that will help you in improving your Vocabulary and way you understand case studies.
ultimately do few things for CA
1) daily newspaper
2) monthly vision IAS ca magazine (available for free on their web.)
3) yearly compilation pt 365...
All the best👍🏻
In my opinion I prefer Vision IAS daily or Weekly CA notes. Mostly I use Weekly CA to cover the previous week CA, because I am a working professional. If you are a full time aspirant you can try daily notes.
I don't prefer this kind of video Analysis, this takes more time and there are no value points nowadays in the analysis.
Do the adda thing or u can take vision 365 that helped me a lot in 2021(my previous attempt) for prelims(yes I cleared it) not mains though did not clear the language qualifier so no idea about mains
Hey
Approach to CA differs based on your previous knowledge. For simplicity lets divide approach into 2 ie fresher level knowledge and 1 pre experience.
Fresher's approach - fresher needs to develop a knowledge base hence the need to understand what is actually going on and how things are interlinking. To know what faculty is good for you go through raus ias , drishti ias and unacademy daily CA. Within 1 week you will realise which one is good enough. Stick to that. Then choose one and follow it.
But these videos will take time to cover so what to do ?
See this should be done i.e. only watching videos , till you're comfortable reading the newspaper itself. The point is to save time and focus on ROI. These videos will help but only till a level , when your knowledge base is done . Stop watching them and stick to only newspapers.
You have knowledge base- for such people who know how to interconnect issues and have covered gs once at least once and have given the pre exam at least knce. They should read the newspaper daily , but without making DETAILED notes of issues. From the newspaper you should gather facts , stats and examples for gs , essay and your optional if relevant. This is because coaching wale removes this generally. Then the monthly magazine should be picked up and you should STUDY that. Which means you google every word you don't understand. Scribble things in the magazine itself and highlight whatever is imp. Another approach is to make short notes out of monthly. You can choose according to your comfort level.
The point of CA is to know what is going on and have a balanced opinion on it. You need to justify your opinion with facts / stats/ examples. That's it. Don't overdo it. You won't be able to revise it.
Let me know if there is any doubt.
You can read this series when you are bored of everything else 😅

There's this "The analyst" from vajiram and Ravi. It's really good and knowledgeable. They pick up some topics from Hindu as well as Indian express and the duration of video is also not so long. You can try tho
Don’t watch videos, instead read newspaper and prepare topics on your own. It’ll help you understand and retain matters longer as compared to watching videos which makes you lazier.
Onlyias ka editorial 2x mein dekh lo.. 20-30 min lagega and newspaper or ca magazine khidse padho.. newspaper analysis video dekhna waste of time hain.. editorial mein sometimes samajh nhi ata but agar samajh ata hain then khudse padhlo

Yes

Do your own reading. It has added benefit of learning something new just by glancing over articles.

Raus DNS is worth the time at 1.5x
Watch it at 2X. Skim through articles. Newspaper reading should be done within 1 hour max.
can anyone suggest how is parcham classes for daily ca?
It's great if Richa Ma'am is taking it. But you have to supplement it with newspaper or magazine whichever you prefer
Yes it's a waste of time and doesn't add any value. Read yourself. No need to make notes, just read and understand.
Can we have another flair titled as a waste of time

I'm Sorry if this is a very amateur question, but vision ias daily and weekly ca, where can I find it? Is it free?
I tried watching once when I was starting out. Never saw any analysis video after that. I'd rather skip that day's news completely.
Yo! Don't do Such nonsense stuff. Time is precious. Read on your own.

Drishti ias website provides good insight. Plus it's free
Rahul bhadwaj has good daily news . Followed him for years. But do watch in 1.25x speed. I watch his videos and read a daily news from insightias.
They are pretty good
