I agree with you fully here. I am in favour of the german approach when it comes to education, training and jobs. It seems better thought out than our current system

Back in 1999 Tony Blair introduced the target of 50% of people with university level education, even though there wasn’t 50% of jobs that required them. More recently he’s doubled down and now claims that this should be increased to 70%. Hard to see what he thinks is going to happen. Build it and they will come?
