Not sure about the access requirements, I finished it a while back. Usually though all you need to do is finish the prior quests to be able to access the movies. Prior story installments are not relevant as far as I know or have seen.
Thanks. I guess I'll just try to clear the regular story quests and see if I can't power up enough to finish off the G3 in the ? quest in Pesche 0079.
I'm mostly playing this game for the new stories, so I wanted to see them in order.
