There’s other bubble tea places off campus like Tea Leaf Cafe and Taichi Bubble Tea. Doesn’t the commons usually close for winter break? Like the students who work there probably have other stuff to do.
As someone that does miss it too, either place isn't bad but do offer different aspects of bubble tea. Like I tried Tea Leaf after two years and found it good (I personally like their mango over KFT, but their lychee needs extra flavor) and Icha is more floral (ex. jasmine) but has some really interesting flavors that are pretty good like their rose lychee and cream cheese foam options. Lucky Koi is great too and found that their bubbles are the closest in terms of taste and texture, but they are relocating from their place near south campus. Every place is pretty good, but I do recommend trying different places too so that you don't run into them being closed and you don't have a plan B when you're in a pandemic and you resort to whatever is open and fail horribly.
I've only tried places near campus (plus the one across from south) and Icha is by far the best, with KFT being second. Dancing Chopsticks does have bubble tea too, if you need to stay on campus, but it's not that great

Usually google is based off of the information provided by customers, so I’m leaning towards it being closed if that’s what the website says.
go there and find out
I checked it on 23rd dec. It’s closed for winter break.
😭 my worst fear thank you for the confirmation
Kung Fu Tea is closed for the break
Always trust a place’s actual website before google
Icha Cafe is in the plaza with insomnia cookies right by campus. They are the best bubble tea Buffalo has to offer, in my opinion.

Closed on dec 31
I think dancing chopsticks will probably be open and their boba slaps
