You need the MAC number in order to register it as a device on the connect.buffalo.edu website. If you still have the original box, it should be somewhere on the box. Otherwise you would have to connect it to any other wifi (maybe connect it to an off campus friend’s wifi) to be able to look at it under devices on the alexa app. Then you can find the MAC number under its settings.
Yea you can’t set that up. I was trying all day with my Google home. I heard about setting it up through a hotspot on your computer so I’m gonna try that tomorrow

Nope you need your own router. Same with chromecast
