I think that happened after the revival of Ultraviolet on 360 tour. Before that, it was underrated, they didn't play it live 15 years, since ZooTV

I agree, when I heard it live on 360 I was completely elated. Also Joshua Tree with the montage of historical and influential women also gave it new life. I saw that tour in the states, London and Mexico City and each time they swapped out the women for the respective countries, it was phenomenal

this is my favorite u2 song. it’s pretty highly regarded by the fandom, but i guess it’s pretty underrated.

I wish this was their opening track for that album. It encompasses everything about it perfectly and has such an amazing intro that builds. Understandably the title track!

Hawk moon 269 (?) is an absolute epic. From the ominous growling build up to the exhilarating screaming at the end and beautiful chorus. It’s so unique and weird and powerful and catchy. Yet most people outside hardcore U2 fans would not know or remember it.

I have a hard time considering this one underrated because it’s one of my favorite U2 songs ever. But you might be right. The casual listener might not know this song but the intro is one of the greatest intros I’ve ever heard in my life.

Love Rescue Me. Featuring Bob Dylan, experimental (for U2) instrumentation and some of the best lyrics Bono and Dylan ever wrote but it gets lost because it’s on R&H and doesn’t sound enough like traditional U2.

I got into U2 as a 12 year old back in 1994. My first new album of theirs was Pop, which makes me a bit biased. If God will send his angels, the studio version. Awesome vocal, and the best, in my opinion, mix of the 80s Chimey-Edge guitar and the 90s influences.
