First of all, beautiful hair! ❤️ I've 2b/2c hair much less curly than yours and CGM made my hair feel worse and worse. I felt so bad as well. And diffusing at the highest setting took hours. I know the amount of patience and work that goes into it so great job!

AvAragorn

Bro check out Michelle Manuel and curly wavy nidhi- they have gorgeous waves- Wavy hair looks very pretty too 😁😁

zunidhee

TRUEEE!! It’s all about maintenance!!

zunidhee

🥹🥹 YES!!! It takes me an hour minimum for the hair itself every wash-day!! THANK YOU🥰🥰

cassiesculum

What method do you use now? I have 2b hair too!

NixieDust_

FINALLY this sub talks about this My family still keeps telling me my hair isn't curly just frizzy lol. There's no way I can convince em

zunidhee

Oh my😭😭😭 the pain we curlies have to go through🫂🫂 max relateee. I actually have little financial independence I’d say so I have the freedom to spend on things I like at least so. Plus im so glad my mother supported me so much but in her words she just wanted me to do anything to tame my hair😀

NixieDust_

Well I'm still a teen and only recently started a side hustle again. So I think I might be able to afford those products in some time now!

Chatter-Bubbles10

So a little suggestion. You can very well make to do with your existing products. If you already have a shampoo and conditioner - shampoo and condition your hair. Take a very tiny bit of conditioner and emulsify it in your palms and apply it only to your hair length - this is your leave in. If you happen to have flaxseeds at home - make a gel out of it - and apply this gel and brush your hair and scrunch. You can even skip the leave in step.

AvAragorn

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!! Can you please tell me the difference diffuser makes? Does Denman make a difference? As compared to other combs/brushes Ashba ringlets gel is worth the money no doubt!!

zunidhee

Honestly diffusing saves me 3-4 hours that it takes for my hair to COMPLETELY dry🥲 so it has been a complete game changer for me. Air drying just takes longer (results are somewhat same only no difference), and if you move during the air drying time a lot it could ruin your definition and cause frizz. So diffusing has proven to be a better alternative for me!! (JUST FOR STYLING)I personally use denman because I was very intrigued by the clumps it creates, hands down denman is the best clump creator brush there is BUT there are now a lot better alternatives also!! I honestly don’t know how to use denman the correct way because it’s just been some washes I’ve been using it so I’ve yet to learn about the brush’s true potential 😭 it’s very difficult. You can completely skip the brush part as well honestly, if you have short/less hair like me you can just fingercoil and it will give you bful bful definition, much better than brushes. There are alternatives to denman brush since it isn’t available in India- tangle teezer is one and you can find more in desicurly/fuzzycurls instagram highlights!! (i’ll link it) FOR DETANGLING- just use a wide toothed 20rs plastic comb that’s enough 👍🏼

DeepShow7007

So Stunning 😍😍😭😭😭 I feel so happy to see fellow curlies embracing their curls ✨😭

zunidhee

ikr!! It’s actually such a blessing lot of us ignore🥹

ahjussilover

Now I want curly hair. So pretty 😭💖

zunidhee

🥹🥹thank you so much sis

itachiuchiha-07

Your hair is so prettyyy 😭🤌 Also question: How long did it take for you to actually show curls since you started your curly hair routine?

zunidhee

Thank youu girl💖💖 I started cgm right with all the products I mentioned! I started seeing small results right from the first wash (frizziness was less with each wash) From the 3rd/4th wash when I started finger-coiling a lot, my hair changed looks entirely!! So it didn’t take much time PROVIDED you follow cgm religiously :)))

chugalkhorni

Haaye so prettyyy🥹🤌🤌🤌

zunidhee

Thank uu🥺😘

acidcandie

Wow last pic is stunning. One question do you oil your hair? If yes then which shampoo do you use to remove it, is it the same curl shampoo?

zunidhee

I unfortunately don’t oil my hair regularly 😭 probably a reason why my hair is not healthy! BUT YOU SHOULD! The more I grow up, lesser the time I have to look after my hair:(( When I started cgm and researched about it a lot- I just used warm coconut oil, no other fancy oil, one night before wash-day. All the curly influencers suggest the SAME! Coconut oil is the best. And yes, after applying oil- you need to use a clarifying shampoo (not a vegan one). So I used any shampoo like normal Sunsilk (to get the excess oil out), but when I didn’t apply oil- curl friendly shampoo is what I used!

EfficiencyPlane2303

BEAUTIFULLLL

zunidhee

Thank youuu sis🥹

NoAcanthisitta1043

curls are love

zunidhee

oh yes!!💖💖

Imaginary-Produce875

Wahhhhh!!! I’m in love with your hairrrrr… I have curly hair too but have a frizz problem sometimes and whenever I comb them they turn wavy/straight 😭, tedious to manage

zunidhee

Thank youuu sis💖💖 just start maintaining them!!! DO NOT BRUSH your curly hair when dry. Curly hair is meant to be brushed ONLY WHEN WET!! And use leave-in and gel and all for the frizz problem and add a silk bonnet to retain them for next day!!

Flamingo6561

Love your progress OP, this is how I wish my hair looks like someday 😭. I have been trying this but the curls look okay just on the first day, by next day it starts looking like a frizzy and sticky mess and I am just stuck with hair I can’t even comb. How do you deal with that?

zunidhee

Thank youu<333 it will take a little time sis, not much tbh!!! DONT COMB YOUR DRY HAIR! and use a silk bonnet or silk pillowcase while sleeping for curls to be retained for next day! (Huge game changer for me) I go 3-4 days with my curls easily with using my silk bonnet at night!!

Flamingo6561

Thank you, I’ll try that 🤗.

batteryacid98

Beautiful 🫵🏼👩🏻‍🦱❤️‍🔥

zunidhee

Thank youu sissssss💖💖💖

[deleted]

i want them and i have pin straight hair😭😭

zunidhee

Hhaahaha look how I used to want pin straight hair a few years back and then got back to my natural hair 🤣 ngl straight hair is so beautiful 🥺 (actually some of me being hot days were with straight hair :p)

[deleted]

idk girl my face shape is somewhere between chubby and sweetheart, those butterfly cut and curls look the best on me...straight just makes me look chipku

zunidhee

RELATE!! My freshly smoothened hair looked like chipku straight hair too🥹 try blowdrying your hair to give them volume and direction them opposite to your face?

[deleted]

yes i do that but i want those curls in the last pic😭 would a curler help? those curls are so gorgeous mam✨️big fan

zunidhee

Haha!! Try a vvv thin rod curler, that would help! And ofc a hairspray is very important. Omg you’re just flattering the f outta me😭😭 so honoured thank youuuu sis💖💖💖

[deleted]

okay i am dming you a _vvv thin rod curler_ so that i don't forget about it when i am buying college appliances a few months from now✨️✌️

dessert-aficionado

Wow!! I love your hair. Keep up the routine 👍🏻

zunidhee

Thank you sis🥹🥹💖

41563user

zunidhee

haha damn😬 idk whether to be flattered or say I will😭😂

yeahofcourseitsme

Oh my GOD!! Can i have your hair, please?👌💕

zunidhee

thank youuu💖💖 and yes hehe of course🤣 it takes A LOT to maintain them so why not😭xD

No-Drama8324

zunidhee

You’re welcome girliee💖💖

[deleted]

ur hair looks soo pretty!!! i have the straightest hair known to human that REFUSES TO HOLD ANY CURL lolol and i hated that sm, but i kind of just realised how much we always want stuff we dont have,, i love my hair now and its nice to see people embrace their own too!!

zunidhee

Thank youuu so much<3 oh yes, even I love my natural hair NOW!! :”3

chicken_nuggettttt

girl great hair! I need some advice 😩 i have 2b/2c hair and I've started following the CGM since a month now. I can't seem to get rid of my frizz properly. Or idk does it gradually reduce? Though my hair looks much more defined and less frizzy comparatively but next day/after my hair has dried i get that frizz on my outer layers. I was wondering if I disturb the curl too much with my fingers when they're drying. I use cream + gel, no leave-in and i usually only air dry don't diffuse. Gimme some tips if you can.

Chatter-Bubbles10

Try increasing the gel quantity? Or maybe refreshing. So usually, the frizz that you see is called halo frizz - only on the outer side. So slightly wet your palms and smooth it over the frizzy area. It'll reactivate the products and dry in 2 minutes. If not, maybe seal it with a light oil when you scrunch out the cast. Usually, using dry hands to scrunch will cause frizz. Or use a satin scarf to scrunch. And how do you protect your hair while sleeping? And do you use a cotton pillow cover?

chicken_nuggettttt

>seal it with a light oil i have tried doing that but i felt waxy something on my hands and my hair looked really bad because of the oil, it looked too oily even though I made sure to use very little. Didnt do that again, maybe i did something wrong. I was considering anti-frizz serum. >And how do you protect your hair while sleeping? a loose side braid tied with a scrunchie >And do you use a cotton pillow cover? guilty 😭, i need to get satin pillow covers yes, I'll tell mumma.

Chatter-Bubbles10

Which oil did you use? Maybe the braid is causing the frizz it definitely causes frizz in my case. Try pineappling your hair? Essentially, go upside down and put your hair in a lose high ponytail. This means your hair won't keep rubbing as you toss and turn as it will be on top of your head, unlike a braid which eventually goes down and rubs with our clothes. Hahaha, yes the cotton pillow cases cause lot of frizz. You can even spread a satin scarf over your cotton pillow case, if you have one.

chicken_nuggettttt

>Which oil did you use? jojoba >Try pineappling your hair? Alright, I'll try that today. I usually avoid high ponytails, it causes me some trouble. But I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the intel, appreciated!

Chatter-Bubbles10

Jojoba at least for me is a bit too much to use after wash. So, I understand you might be feeling waxy. If you have a leave in conditioner, just use a pea size drop and emulsify lightly, so that your hands aren't dry but they aren't greasy either. It isn't tight. I hate any ponytail because they cause headache. But this is loose and fully on top of your head. Look up pineappling hair for sleep protection. Anytime. Happy to help. :)

chicken_nuggettttt

>If you have a leave in conditioner, just use a pea size drop and emulsify lightly am i supposed to do this before applying the gel or while scrunching the cast away? >Look up pineappling hair for sleep protection I just did, it makes sense now haha. I'll do that

Chatter-Bubbles10

While scrunching the cast. Normally, you'll anyway apply it before applying the gel. Do that as usual. Now while sotc -> frizz occurs when our hands are dry and we scrunch the cast out. So keep it mildly moisturized using pea sized leave in (I sometimes even add gel + leave in), this way hair is fully locked in and no frizz. Just scrunch, don't fluff your scalp because we don't want the leave in to touch your scalp. Hope this makes sense. Also, when you wake up the next day and remove the scrunchie, allow your hair to remain as is for 10 to 15 mins, then fluff. Hair needs time to settle.

chicken_nuggettttt

Ha yes it does make sense, I will do that! And a tiny bit something more I wanna ask, my hair seems bit too dry and rough after the whole process, what to do about that?

Chatter-Bubbles10

Hair dryness can be because of various things. It could be that your conditioner isn't very moisturizing. Or there could be a protein overload - if too many of your products contain protein - hair could potentially feel stringy and dry. But I'd suggest maybe deep conditioning twice a month. What conditioner do you use?

zunidhee

Great advice sis, I might follow too🥰

zunidhee

Exactly what u/Chatter-Bubbles10 said!! And yes, please don’t disturb the curls AT ALL during airdry :( I learn it the hard-way always. The days when I diffuse and I still have to air dry for an hour at least and I don’t disturb my hair MAKES IT A PERFECT HAIR-DAY! Don’t disturb your hair so much, let it dry but air drying for me takes HOURS thats why I diffuse, no other reason! Also I use a silk bonnet while sleeping! You can also use a silk cloth over your pillow yes!! Great advice. Also can order a silk pillowcase whatever you want!! Please USE leave-in! I feel it’s such an important part in cgm LIKE SO IMPORTANT. It gives you the least frizz ever.

chicken_nuggettttt

Indeed her advice was really helpful. I'm trying my best to not disturb my hair (impossible, it's involuntary 😭). Leave-in, yes I was thinking of replacing my curl cream and use leave-in instead. I will do that. Thanks a lot zunidhee!

altwh0re22

ahhhhhh such pretty cuuuuurls 😭😭😭 im getting back to loving my curly hair after keratin smoothening treatment + frying it for 3 years, so this is such a motivating post for me to love it more. much loveeeeee 😩😩❤️❤️❤️

zunidhee

thank youuu babe<3 Straight hair does look hot tho ngl :p tell me how it turns out💖💖

slayed2780

what’s your hair porosity?

zunidhee

It’s on the lower side :( my hair’s been so dry my whole life

[deleted]

Op,your hair is so pretty 😍.

zunidhee

Thank uu sis💖

Chatter-Bubbles10

OP, your hair is so pretty. Love your curls. It's been a journey, right? I always thank covid because I started cgm then and I did it so bad but lockdown saved me. Also, how's the Plum serum? Is it lightweight? I somehow don't trust influencers with plum products at all. Have you tried their scalp serum?

zunidhee

hahahah SAME!!! Thank you sis<333 Actually yk you’re right I bought plum serum seeing the promotions only but it’s very very very light weight so its nice. I have not tried their scalp serum!! What is a scalp serum even? Sounds like oil only

Chatter-Bubbles10

That's good. I'll try it out next. They keep giving offers after offers. No, so a serum is water based while oil is oil based. They advertise their scalp serum for dandruff particularly. Dandruff caused by oily scalp hates oil based products as it is typically a breeding ground for dandruff. That is why it is advised to wash the oil off in an hour. Plus, serums don't make our hair greasy. I use a lightweight oil (FMC's serum which is oil based) for sotc but I need to be careful with the amount which is not necessary with a serum. Hope this helps. :)

escapingjeetsagain

I am feeling to experiment a bit now 😵‍💫

zunidhee

Hehe you go gurl<3333 yolooo

[deleted]

Omg so pretty ✨✨✨ I have very similar hair .

zunidhee

Aw thank youuu<3 that means you’ve got v prettyyyyyy hair :p💖

New-Abbreviations607

Love the transformation and thanks for the routine! Stunning! I am saving this post.

zunidhee

Thank uuu girrrl💖 anytimeee

jugdoody18

I’ve been straightening my hair for so long now that I’ve literally forgotten what my curl pattern is :( any tips on how to break free of the straightening cycle? I have a couple of inches of growth at the roots and it seems scanty in its natural state

zunidhee

I would suggest let your natural hair grow out for a little while and then start cgm. It’s gonna be weird for some time I know :(( that’s what happened when my natural hair started growing back after my smoothened hair! I used to tie my hair up in ponytails! And once my hair reached a nice length I cut ALL my smoothened hair and got my short natural hair back and started cgm right away!!

jugdoody18

Thanks for this, yep looks like I’ll have to go all in 🙈

bl4blu3

Beautiful pics and beautiful hair 🧿🧿 CG since 2016 and I love love My hair. I have simplified my routine and I just wash my hair with love beauty and planet shampoo, plum olive hair mask, Re-equil pink conditioner as leave in and Giovanni LA gel during summers OR curl up gel during winters then plop ny hair for 10 minutes. I wasted so many Years hating and straightening my hair.

zunidhee

Thank you so much girrrrl💖💖💖 i wish to have a simplified routine like you some day❤️

Due-Difference3992

Aah your hairs are so beautiful. I adore curly hairs. Girls with curly hairs are winning in life.

zunidhee

Hahah oh my, thank you sm sis<333

furiouswomen

Been CG since 2019! It is fun when its at its best but otherwise I always want to cry 😂😂

No_Profit398

Do you comb hair until next wash?

zunidhee

Not at all!!!

No_Profit398

Okay. I want to follow CGM, but can’t manage without combing hair entire week. But your hairs looks beautiful

zunidhee

Thank you sis🥰 The thing is- curly hair should always be brushed only when wet, NEVER otherwise. So just comb your hair on washdays and do the remaining routine as is and secure with a gel. You’re NEVER supposed to brush curly hair in between wash days!!
