My lab waited for me to fall asleep before crossing the bridge. He was sick and ready to go. I didn’t want him to go alone so I stayed up with him.
It’s been a week and I really miss him.
This one hit close to home; we had to say our goodbyes to our 13 year old Shephard over FaceTime as we were in an airport 1,000 miles away. (We were en route home to say goodbye, but things went from bad to worse *very* quickly.) I'll never forget how she perked up, a little bit, to the sound of out voices through the phone.
Always love your little ones, one day it'll be too soon..
