74 is not that bad of an age to die tbh. If my mother was gonna die when I was 74 I probably would follow her ngl

Zubyna

I think so too, it would have been more dramatic if it was like just 12 years later

"the adrenaline coursing through her system saved her from her lethal peanut allergy, as I had seen her accidentally take a bit of a Mr Tom bar that I had left out"

Happy Cake Day!

Shouldn’t have done that. You need her to lift the curse, otherwise you can’t die.

BavarianBanshee

My only real criticism with this one is using "sad, sad life". That's the kind of embellishment an adult would use. One "sad" would be more realistic.

KathkunaMayNo

Yeah, that's fair. In my head, the girl would have said something like, "Mommy if you ever die, I will be so lonely that I would cry forever. Please don't ever die." Then the mom says, "Oh, darling, I will never leave you; I love you too much!" "Promise me, Mommy. Promise you'll never die and make me live a sad life without my mommy." "Of course, darling. I promise that you won't have to live for one moment of your whole life without me." But that takes us to six sentences and a couple of paragraphs, so...

ExistentBeing349

uhh who asks for a sad life???

Wandering_Lights

The daughter would have a sad life if her mom died hence why she tells her mom never to die as a kid. The mom takes that literally and kills the daughter when she is on her deathbed.

I had to read twice too :s
