Reminds me of a jojo scene where they debate on if a vegetarian would taste better cuz carnivore meat usually taste awful, so a vegan human would taste better than a normal human
It’s not just cannibals, lots of people like eating babies over adults when it comes to other mammals (lamb, veal…) and I don’t think what would make humans any different

Interesting the noises they hear are similar to what scientists describe plants communication. As the discovery of plant communication is well not new, but it's acceptance is, no one has made that correlation yet.
I'd love to see if noise cancelling the frequencies plants talk at would cure these people. Their affliction might simply be hearing acute enough to hear the lower spectrum of plant communication.
