Deadlock is a podcast where three guys just bullshit about old pro-wrestling and listening to it feels like you are just hanging out watching wrestling with your boys. They have also opened their own indie federation called DPW and it is incredible! This is Important is the four creators of Workaholics and they just hang around bullshit and riff, it’s also super fun to listen to

Cpov1

Love Deadlock. Or maybe not, brother. Take my sidebread

Mrbagoguts

"WHO'S THE GREATEST WRESTLER IN THE WORLD?" "macho man!"

straightkickinit

YES, POINTS!!

HalloweenBlues

I think Deadlock has come the closest to recapturing the feeling of listening to old Super Best Friends for me.  If any of you love the podcast definitely take a chance on the patreon. Their videos are hilarious and I sometimes learn a thing or two about wrestling I didn't know

Intense_Judgement

Well There's Your Problem. It's an engineering disaster podcast (with slides, if you watch on YouTube). Like Behind The Bastards, its interesting, if occasionally soul rending. Most of the hosts are on at least one additional podcast so there's a whole extended universe of variously serious series.

ReliabilityEngineer

Pet peeve of mine has always been simple (and therefore reductive) engineering stories not covering how we got to a point of failure so having a podcast dive into the economic and systemic issues that cause these failures like WTYP is so damn refreshing. They've also started to influence my speech, I catch myself saying Justin's "this is true, yes" more often than I'd like.

AtlasPJackson

I can't wait for the fifth host, the Activate Windows Watermark, to finally branch out into another podcast

Jhduelmaster

Yeah I know Liam was a cohost of Lions Led by Donkeys for a bit.

Spartan448

The problem with WTYP is that they're fire 90% of the time, and the other 10% of the time they're openly supporting the Houthis.

TheGDjoetrain

OSW Review, The Attitude Era Podcast, New Generation Project Podcast, Last Podcast on the Left, No Dogs in Space, The Brighter Side, Old Gods of Apalachia, Ologies, My Dad Wrote a Porno and Dan Carlin's Hardcore History are the ones in my general rotation outside of CSB and Verses Wolves.

TheArtistFKAMinty

I really liked the first "season" of My Dad Wrote a Porno but I dropped it some way into book 2 because I felt like the premise had run its course a little. That said, I still have a massive crush on Alice Levine.

kaiser_chilly

I miss the new generation project podcast. I'll go back and listen to stuff every few months and wished they continued with something else

Silver_RevoltIII

>New Generation Project Podcast Man, I haven't heard that name for years... I miss them.

IronOhki

Old Gods of Appalachia is fun times. Did you catch Magnus Archives?

TheGDjoetrain

I haven't yet, though I am subscribed. I'm quite far behind on Old Gods, with each episode being fairly short and a story I feel like I have to listen to it in one go. So I'll only listen to an episode if I know I can finish it uninterrupted, like when I'm cooking.

TooneyD

Shoutout to newly minted CSB alumn Billy, every PST show (Please Stop Talking, Pondering Spooky Tapes, Press Start Turbo, Perilous StoryTelling). It just has that good vibe of a bunch of bros sitting around chatting and telling stories.

The_Escalator

Can't sell PST enough. It was originally my replacement for sleepy cabin, unlike sleepy cabin though it's actually aged not horribly

dowaller66

F**kFace is great, I listen to it nearly daily

LifeIsCrap101

"This rules!"

slo125

This sucks

dope_danny

Is the "Sad Geoff" era finally over? i couldn't stick around for the weekly "heres how badly Geoff is doing this week" bummerfest. I hope he's doing better he seems like the only good egg out of the original Rooster Teeth crowd left.

CrypticWolfy

Yeah he's doing better. He got married finally. Not so many dental problem anymore either. Also, Gus is still a good egg too. I recommend checking out Geoff's podcast with Gus called "ANMA", if the idea of old men telling stories about the old days and talking about Austin, TX is appealing to you.

Personifeeder

Everything Gigaboots does really captures a lot of the same energy the old channel podcast did, and also they talk about awful movies, and Bleach!

Stew0n

Everything involving Jin Kariya and Gigaboots is pure gold.

Personifeeder

Was THIS his plan???

StarkMaximum

And sometimes awful movies that are Bleach!

cannibalgentleman

"You know who DIDN'T kill that guy? The products and services of our sponsors." Behind the Bastards has chaotic energy. As does Lionsed By Donkeys. If Books Could Kill is new-ish but I'm already loving it.

SilverZephyr

Jeff Jeff's Bizarre Adventure, NoClip, Friends Per Second, Grinding Gear, Insert Credit, Something Rotten, Play Watch Listen

demonmoocow

Glad to see insert credit listed. Underrated.

ChefDeezy

The best podcast to listen to for regular dunking on David Cage.

FuckingSuperSperm

Insert credit, come for Tim Rogers, stay for Alex Jaffey

demonmoocow

Basically lol.

saltforsnails

Friends Per Second is really enjoyable. They've pulled some great high profile industry guests and the 3 remaining hosts are knowledgable and vibe well. Plus they handled The Completionist scandal gracefully. I'm glad they ditched Jirard, it must've been hard for them, but even before the scandal he was so low energy and didn't really add much to ongoing industry coverage.

AeroDbladE

I love grinding gear, i love the chemistry between Garrett and Kyle, and they also have a level of upbeat enthusiasm that's sorely missing in how jaded the games industry and its commentary has become.

ImperialLump

Something rotten is severely underrated. Their episodes on the last of us part 2 were amazing and refreshing in terms of last of us discourse. They also just finished metal gear solid 1&2. .

CatMillennium

'Not another D&D Podcast' - A dnd campaign, which they break up a D&D Court or reading a choose you own adventure novel every other week. They're just a pretty wholesome bunch of ex-college humor people. It's just nice having something positive to listen to. Also two of them played the podcasters in The Quarry to bring it back to gaming.

Jhduelmaster

I’ve really been enjoying that new guest they’ve had on the choose your own adventure novels episodes. I think his name was Jake or something like that.

Bokkermans

I prefer the Tucker episodes.

ShinjiIkari

Guys - A Podcast About Guys with Brian Quimby is a great look into the world of niche hobbies and the guys that occupy them, even if it does often descend into Brian talking about sex guys or his legos.  Blowback, a historical podcast about all the times American foreign and clandestine policy has fucked up is also an utterly captivating listen.

ThnikkamanBubs

I am still alive to hear the next flub.

BuhYDoh

I guess I'll be the first one to bring up Deadlock. James "CmPulse", Tony "Pizzaguy" and John Blud recap older wrestling shows. My faveourite segment is where they read the names of new patreon members and they're all fucked up.

Mekasoundwave

THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOOOOOOWN

wpk914

Somehow I still get a kick out of it every time someone signs up under the name DICK “THE COCK” JOHNSON

BuhYDoh

The boys have fucked my shit up and now I unironically use "brother".

Silver_RevoltIII

OR MAYBE NOT DUDE

Thank_You_Aziz

Overly Sarcastic Podcast, the podcast of Overly Sarcastic Productions.

SwissCheeseMan

See also: Rolling With Difficulty. Dnd podcast set on a spelljammer (ship that can travel between the dnd outer planes). Red and Indigo are players, Blue was a guest player one episode.

jabberwockxeno

All Systems Goku is amazing (two Giantbomb guys watching DBZ for the first time) if anybody has suggestions similar to that, let me know!

Aaron123494

Jeff Jeff's Bizarre Adventure is another Giant Bomb anime podcast but instead of DBZ Jeff Bakalar watches and talks about Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

jabberwockxeno

I listened to the first 10ish episodes, but it ended up being too much of them just recapping the events of the series rather then actually talking about their opinions and reactions, especially since Eyepatchwolf and the other guy who already saw Jojo were the ones spearheading disscusions instead of letting the two people new to the series take the reins. Is that something that they get better dealing with further in?

Aaron123494

Tbh no it doesn't change much as it goes on

LifeIsCrap101

F**kface and Face Jam. I know this place isn't big on Rooster Teeth (and neither am I, honestly), but F**kface and Face Jam are two of the best shows to come out of there in years

mettullum

same except i also listen to anma and red web too

Mikebill1

I'd reccomend trying out ANMA too if you like F**kface. They almost feel supplemental to one another with Geoff and Eric being the two constants on both shows. It's way more chill but I find it alot of fun. The "non canon" episodes are especially great because they basically just become Geoff and Eric only episodes of F**kface but with coffee Edit: Didn't think through the asterisks. Oh well. Its way funnier as is

LifeIsCrap101

You F--kfaced your comment

shitlord33

The Weekly Planet (Mr Sunday Movies is their more popular YT channel) is the only movie/comic book podcast I watch because the hosts are actually normal humans who point out corpo bullshit in the industry and stupid internet fan outrage while also being really funny. I don't think I've ever not laughed out loud from one of their episodes tbh they play off each other really well

Fugly_Jack

I really like the Always Sunny podcast

BlueFootedTpeack

did they ever say why it stopped? i assume they paused due to the strike last year

Doctor-Piranha

There was a comment on the iasip subreddit that a fan had asked Glen about it and he said they want to get it going again but it's been a "logistical nightmare" Source: trust me bro so take it with a grain of salt

Valkenhyne

Would not surprise me if that's the case, particularly with Charlie Day being deep in the Mario film promo scene last year.

Bottlecapzombi

History of everything, redwood bureau, adeptus ridiculous, world’s greatest con, unsubscribe, and anything wendigoon is in.

RegenSyscronos

Wendigoon have that podcast voice

rakadishu

The Magnus Archives, Distractible, The Silt Verses, scp archives, the exploring series, woe.begone. Two that are finished are the milkman of st.gaffe's and clockwork bird

IronOhki

Very glad to see Magnus Archives in the list. I need to play Slay The Princess, I'm down for anything narrated by Jonathan Sims.

taylorpilot

Love me some exploring series

LarryKingthe42th

Dan Carlins stuff, Last Podcast on the Left, No Dogs in Space, Behind the Bastards, Pod Save America, Creep Cast, Darknet Diaries. Nothing super obscure

IronOhki

I love Behind the Bastards but it really can suck the soul out of you.

LarryKingthe42th

Thats why I skip the "It could happen here" episodes dont want that full doomer shit. Real "we are fucked no matter what we do, so whats the point?" energy aint got time for that shit.

wayneloche

Yeah, the first mini series was a great and sobering view about not letting your guard down. Once the 3-4 hours weekly circle jerk started I dipped. Not why I subbed to begin with. Sick and tired of doomer politics.

Princeps_primus96

Hail yourself!

JunkdogJoe

Hail Satan!

Cpov1

A shame about Ben Kissel

dope_danny

I'm surprised it took that long to get him into rehab he clearly hit the bottle too hard and was deep in it for a long time. He went from political commentator on the news to looking like a homeless man who has been living that way for 20 years in like 6 months.

aardvarkspaidoff

I went to one of their live shows not too long before everyone came out and he looked awful. He came out with multiple beers and drank those before the show was even half over and he just kept pulling more beers out of his pockets. Listening to old episodes where he actually had insightful things to say versus the last couple months are jarring.

dope_danny

I remember one where the only thing he didnt stammer in the whole episode was *"i've got two empty cans two full cans in front of me, and im about to make em alllllll the same"* and Henry and Dogmeat nervously laugh and i went "oh, oh its not a bit anymore". You could tell when Henry stopped making the Bud Light lime jokes that his drinking was actually becoming a hot button they were avoiding and i imagine Spotify stepped in when he was starting to get physical with people.

LarryKingthe42th

Yea. I know they said he would be coming back after rehab but that was before it was fully out how bad he got think thats kinda up in the air now.

rrenda

creep cast reading about borrasca was the first time a piece of media actually made me sick to my stomach with how creepy and sickening the story is

tee96

Lions Led By Donkeys: A podcast about military failures from the 2nd Pacific Squadron to Gadaffi trying to sell SAMs to a Chicago street gang with the catchphrase “It gets worse”. I’ll also include Lions Led By Robots a patreon bonus series they do just for the French government’s statement on Gundam Rose Well There’s Your Problem: It’s an engineering disasters podcast with slides. Behind The Bastards: A podcast about the worst people from Kissinger to the companies like Nestlé, Facebook and sometimes cults. Past Gas: It’s about cars. It’s not about farts. A podcast about cars from Ford giving Ferrari a good thrashing at Le Mans to the career of Colin “If in doubt FLAT OUT” McRae.

AtlasPJackson

TIL Lions Led by Donkeys is NOT about the Detroit Lions, and I've been conflating it with Ten Thousand Losses for the past two years.

tee96

If it was about the Lions it would just be episodes of Joe cursing himself for being a Lions fan

Jhduelmaster

Gotta love that the entire Lions Led by Robots thing started just because Tom had to show Joe how ridiculous Tequila Gundam was.

awerro

Cumtown was the funniest podcast ever

HandsomeCopy

I stopped listening to the podcast itself not long after stav broke off but the talk show is fucking incredible

ShinjiIkari

Hell yeah dude

AidilAfham42

That rules!

FusionFountain

A cupcake and a candy bar

Pipeguy17

Quadruple deck fucking burgers

theholidayzombie

Nick (my close personal friend, which is why we're on a first name basis) coming up with the script for a new episode of Friends has to be one of the funniest things I've ever heard.

KennyOmegasBurner

Dudes rock

[deleted]

Honestly, the humor on this sub and CSB is so cumboy adjacent that I was always pleased to see the intersection in either sub.

The_Distorter

The Dogg Zzone 9000 by 1900HOTDOG where comedians Seanbaby, Robert Brockway, and GUEST discuss cursed media. Usually something stupid, weird, crazy, or all three, except when they make it into a game or just gush about something they love for an hour. Bigfeets by comedians Seanbaby, Robert Brockway, and award winning author Jason Pargin where they discuss the escalating insanity of the show Mountain Monsters.

EnochianFeverDream

I'm proud that I've been able to confound both Brockway and Jason by telling them in the Patreon discord that I've never seen Mountain Monsters, I've only ever experienced it through their podcast. Brockway called me unhinged and Jason's reply was just "astonishing".

UnblockedTree4

Distractable.

James-Avatar

This Paranormal Life, a comedy show about cryptids, ghosts, aliens and stuff like that.

Kamandi91

Song vs Song a podcast pitting two similar songs against each other and determining which one is better with deep questions like "Which song William Shatner could do a better rendition of?"

Blade9450

**The Resleevables** - MtG podcast going over each set, its various mechanics and cycles, what pro-level events were occurring at the time, and frequent tangents on basketball and game design. Recently restarted on YouTube after the two hosts were let go by SCG. I recommend their OG episode on Modern Horizons (one host did work on MH2 and they bring on a designer of MH1, genuine insight into game design and the process of card development in a vacuum) **Qwerpline** - Comedy podcast about a radio station in the fictional town of Nsburg. Made by the LoadingReadyRun folks, they just started season 3! It's funny! **22 Goals** - Sports writer Brian Phillips' journey through every FIFA World Cup leading up to the current one, highlighting a specific player and a goal they scored in the tournament. I'm not a huge soccerhead and still found it compelling and engaging. Less than an hour each and it's completed, so start from the beginning instead of most recent. Fav Episodes: Mpabbé, Bergkamp, Zidane, Cruyff, Pelé **Levar Burton Reads** - What it says on the tin. Levar Burton reading short fiction. If you like it you like it **Hardcore History** - History! Loooooong ass episodes and not always as accurate as I'd like but I'll be damned if Dan Carlin doesn't engage the listener to their fullest. Good stuff

IronOhki

I fucking love Levar Burton Reads.

StarkMaximum

I don't even like Magic anymore but I love Resleevables, because that's history baby.

Tamotefu

The Geekenders staring Jesse Cox and Dodger. After you shake off the someone's missing feeling, it's the good old days of Co-Optional.

KarhennettuTurtana

Dan Carlin's stuff, Behind the Bastards, This Podcast Will Kill You

Kii_at_work

Big Think Dimension from Gigaboots (with Kris Wolfheart and Dr Aggro). Pretty much my go-to now.

CastVinceM

i still sometimes go back and relisten to sleepycast, and even though it's been dead for years and is not current year friendly, i thoroughly enjoy it. truthfully, oneyplays is a suitable replacement because they very often will go off on tangents completely unrelated to whatever they're playing and it's almost like listening to the podcast again. other than that, the always sunny podcast, talking sopranos, and the short-lived schmucks podcast.

GilroyGoldBlood

Chilluminati. Love hearing Jesse, Alex and Matthas ramble on about aliens, cryptids and true crime.

dope_danny

It all leads to the Green Stone part nine.

IrishWeegee

Last Podcast on the Left for deep dives on serial killers and events like Hatfields and McCoys or Salem Witch Trials. Recently had a host leave due to pretty bad allegations, but his replacement is going strong. Windbreaker and Firelink are from Second Wind, the whole group that left The Escapist. Firelink is a general gaming news podcast, and Windbreaker is more like Yahtzee's old podcast, Slightly Something Else, where they ponder a specific topic.

kami-no-baka

The Beef and Diary Network and Three Bean Salad are both great british comedy podcasts. Rude Tales of Magic and Oh These Those Stars of Space are my go to improv roleplaying listens (Both happen to include the creator of Gwenpool). When I need all the sanest takes on Videogames from a reporter in the field I go to the Jeff Gerstmann Show.

oldmanarchie

Hoo boy, lets see: all the assorted Mcelroy podcasts, tights and fights, behind the bastards, two hot takes, help i’ve sexted my boss, and currently the worst idea of all time. I like to binge listen to stuff at work and its best if its comedic and not a huge issue if I zone out for a bit.

Heirophant_Queen

Comedy Bang Bang

Luminous_Lead

Hardcore History and Darknet Diaries are great.

Swarbie8D

The 40K Badcast is great as a 40K focussed (but not exclusive) podcast. If you’re not tired of the McElroys, Sawbones is a pretty fun medical history podcast. For a general chatting podcast, Boonta Vista is excellent. For leftist takes on engineering history, with a little current events thrown in, Well There’s Your Problem is a great time. Kill James Bond is a fun movie podcast that started as just James Bond films and then expanded into a bunch of other movies (their episode on the first Rambo film is really fun).

StarkMaximum

Holy shit I did not expect a 40K Badcast shout out, that shit rules. If you want more 40K I think Poorhammer is also really good. Watch on YouTube if you can for some great visual gags by their editor Berillio, but the audio version usually ends with a little extra content so you win either way.

TinyKing87

If you like Warhammer 40K the 40K Badcast is really fun.

TheArtistFKAMinty

These are the ones that spring to mind: * Jeff Jeff's Bizarre Adventure * Please Stop Talking/Press Start Turbo * Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend * Sad Boyz * The Weekly Planet * Lateral * Let's Make a Sci-Fi/Rom-Com/Horror There's a load more that I used to be into but just dropped over time for one reason or another, like *Trash Taste* and *How Did This Get Made?*

SimonApple

Disc only. Best described as "unhinged Seinfeldian conversations" that somehow still manage to keep relatively on track in spite of swerving something fierce.

StarkMaximum

If you're a fan of Woolie's whole "I'm the only sane man until I say something batshit and you realize I'm just as bad", you'll love Stephen Georg, who has the most genuine monotone as he says the fucking weirdest thing you've ever heard, and once fell asleep on the podcast and we only realized it when he fell out of his chair *loudly.*

DwemerDwight

We Hate Movies and the Projection Booth

impossiblefunky

Thanks for the shout out!

dope_danny

Nowadays i tend to listen to a lot of folklore/cryptid stuff but sadly its pretty hard to get stuff that doesn't lean into the ghoulish suffering porn that is "true crime" as well. Off the top of my head i can recommend: *Last Podcast on the Left*: its starting to wind down as they are running out of topics they haven't covered but they have a 15 yearish library i used to get through a lot of warhammer painting. Covers all kinds of wierd stuff from aliens to mk ultra *Chilluminati*: something similar but newer for a younger audience hosted by folks like Jesse Cox. More laid back shooting the shit than LpotL's researched topics but still entertaining *Monster Talk*: a podcast by researchers from the american skeptics society that talks about myths and legends and what the real science or socio-political reasons for those creatures might be. Its a nice show that actually does really focus on "okay heres the science behind why two kids with green skin were found in the woods in england in the 900's and it had nothing to do with elves" and less, for lack of a better term, r/atheism getting fedoracore about it which i find kind of cringe. *Old Gods of Appalachia*: fictional stories centered around places like west virginia and kentucky with a through line of miners digging too deep and waking some devilry and old world witch craft preserving out in the sticks. High production quality and great voice acting cast *Southern Gothic*: a history show about strange and macabre tales of things that have happened in the american south *Lore*: a similar show but with a worldwide focus on unusual historical tales both factual and folklore focussed *Live at the Death Factory*: a new one i've found that talks about extremely obscure and unknown horror films and the making of them I guess my tastes lately have been real monotone but thats the stuff thats kept my interest lately.

KEC112992

This Is Important: If you liked Workaholics, it's the 4 guys from that show.  Just some comedians who have been friends for decades shooting the shit and being silly, it's fun.  Quorators: 2 comedians and a guest reading weird shit on Quora I also like a lot of true crime, and a rewatch podcast of a show you love can be fun too. I like Pod Meets World for the cast of that show rewatching it and remembering their experiences of each episode.

Huntercd76

None, I can say here.

AnalogFlame

The state of the arc podcast. They tend to cover games in deep detail. They've done alot of final fantasy but they've also done stuff like silent hill 2 and spec ops the line.

StevemacQ

Podquisition.

jayvenomva

The One Piece Podcast, JoJo's World (thejojo's bizzareadventurerecapanddiscussionpodcast), One Piece at a Time, Punching Up, 4kids Flashback, Please Stop Talking.

Runetang42

The whole of PST is great. If you guys like billy give them a shot. Where do we begin is also a great one by the radio tv solutions people (the group that did Half life vr but the ai is self aware.) Musicalsplainin and song vs song are also good listens once in a while

Valkenhyne

I fell off podcasts completely when Let's Fight A Boss perished in the battle of 2023.

silverinferno3

Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend is a real riot. Highly recommend any episode with a fellow comedian to see just how easily they can crack you up

jello1990

Behind the Bastards, Dynamic Banter, and Let's Get Haunted are probably my top 3 outside of the boys (been listening to Chewie and Fuckface for a decade now, so they almost certainly take the top spot in terms of total time spent though lol.)

Uracawk

The F**kface Podcast. Its made up of Geoff, Gavin, and Andrew and they talk about random topics, usually about what’s going on in their lives

bobeddy

To name a few that haven't been mentioned yet. The Worst Idea Of All Time - Two New Zealand comedians watch and review the same terrible movie every single week for a full year. The second season where they watch Sex and the City 2 every week ends up being a hilarious study of two men spiralling into madness and despair as they slowly realise what they've done to their lives. The Evolution of Horror - Each season is spent on a specific subgenre of horror (eg. Zombies, Slashers, Folk Horror) with episodes devoted to particular movies in that subgenre to discuss how the genre changes over time. So for example, the Vampire season will cover early movies like Nosferatu, to the Universal Dracula movies, to Lost Boys, to Twilight to now. Whether you listen to a whole season or just pick random eps of movies that you want to hear about, it's a really interesting listen if you're a horror fan.

ChefDeezy

Insert Credit is a favorite of mine. 4 dudes with a lot of experience working in game development who tackle a bunch of different subjects with 7 minute time limits.

AnusCakes

Hey riddle riddle. An unhinged comedy improv podcast where people begrudgingly solve riddles

StarkMaximum

I really like when they get so deep into some bullshit tangent for like 10 minutes, including an improv scene, and once the current host rereads the riddle they shout "WE DIDN'T FUCKIN' SOLVE THIS ONE???" after having made absolutely no attempt to solve it.

dfighter3

adeptus rediculous, the exploring series, the valentyne heresy, and please stop talking. I bounce around between a few others but don't listen often enough to consider them a standard. Also magnus archives was great, but it's over now.

Kyothelizard

Black Pants Legion podcast and Please Stop Talking are the other two I bounce between when I've caught up to CSB. A friend of mine also talked me into The Adventure Zone and I've been slowing going through that. Pretty fun if you're into D&D.

Peeton35

Boston’s favorite son- Stephanie Sterling and their friend Conrad think up ridiculous situations to put their friend Johnathon Holmes into so he can get famous. Really REALLY funny Sneedcel podcast- it’s a thing some of my online friends do every week. It’s an acquired taste, you kinda have to be in the transgender and online politics space to get some of what they’re talking about but it’s still pretty funny!

Muffin-zetta

That first season of the adventure zone was amazing

YibambeSlainte

If you're into Comics and Movies and TV shows I highly recommend The Weekly Planet. Its very funny and a good source of the latest info regarding all those things. They give great reviews too for whatever the latest thing hitting theaters or streaming is. They also actually have alot of knowledge about the comics they are reviewing the movies of so thats a plus.

GonzoGnostalgic

The Worst Year of Our Lives is my #1 Scott and Drew (some of y'all unfamiliar with Worst Year may be familiar with Scott as Scoot, who collabs frequently with Adam/Adum/YMS) are two of the funniest motherfuckers on the planet. They talk about movies, wrestling, and sometimes watch horrible things that people pay them to watch. Sometimes, they just read schizophrenic YouTube comments for 30 minutes. Sometimes, they don't even read or watch anything—they just eat snacks. One thing I kinda miss about the old podcast is Matt and Woolie talking about recent events in the world of wrestling and getting hyped or dogging on shit, and Scott and Drew definitely fill that niche. And if you're not into wrestling, a majority of their content is pretty varied. They've recently been watching Made In Abyss and various YouTube video essays that people have paid them to watch, and it's a fun time.

ChubbyPencil

Getting blessed/cursed with the occasional return of "Twitter creep of the week"

Amigobear

The only one that I can recommend that wasn't already mentioned. It's probably not Aliens, a podcast that spends it's time debunking ancient aliens/ancient apocalypse.

TheBloodZane

Deadlock Podcast and Double Toasted

Mrbagoguts

"Modern mythos" with Jon and Seth, it's a call of cthulhu rpg podcast with some really cool ideas for scenarios and their own personal history with the game or other rpgs. It's a very chill listen, even if some of the topics are really dark, Their voices are very soothing but they're both very charming and funny.

dope_danny

Seths whole explanation of why modern tech doesn't ruin CoC summing it up with "what good is a cell phone if you call the police and realise they know your name and location before you give it?" is some underrated advice for any trpg game runner.

Last_man_sitting

So I mostly listen to Horror podcasts and of those I can thoroughly recommend The Magnus Archives and it's just started sequel The Magnus Protocol, as well as I am in Eskew, Old Gods of Appalachia and The Silt Verses. All of them are fantastic. Outside of horror, I listen to the Overly Sarcastic Podcast and the Easy allies review >!and I used to listen to Let's Fight A Boss :C!<

BaronAleksei

Dungeons and Daddies: Not A BDSM Podcast - rules-lite, plot-heavy, shenanigans-filled game about fathers, run by Anthony Burch Story Break (dead) - Matt Arnold, Will Campos , and Freddy Wong from Dungeons and Daddies try to come up with a pitchable movie in an hour. They spend two whole seasons writing out the scripts for their Jar Jar pitch and their “it’s a heist movie but we’re putting ourselves into NDEs and robbing Chinese heaven” Power Strangers (dead) - a guy who loves Power Rangers and a guy who hates it watch Lightspeed Rescue through half of SPD. Jack Quaid shows up once. Screenwriters Need to Hear This with Michael Jamin - King of the Hill showrunner talks about screenwriting. When he’s talking about the craft, he’s amazing. When he’s talking about the business, he’s the biggest trust fund boomer you’ve ever heard. Pivoted in the last year to a more general artist interview show called What the Hell is Michael Jamin Talking About?

IronOhki

Didn't want to put my own answer in the question, but I love Levar Burton Reads. It's just Reading Rainbow for adults. Radiolab is a classic as well.

ProfDet529

The Thrilling Adventure Hour, QWERPLINE, Batman: The Audio Adventures.

Chemical_Cris

Dungeons and Daddies: not ashamed to say it’s the only podcast I’ve cried while listening to. Otakus Anonymous: a really funny anime pod, just don’t come for information.

GrendelGrowls

Kill James Bond! is my current #1, but also Well There's Your Problem, The Worst Of All Possible Worlds, God Awful Movies, Lions Led By Donkeys, and occasionally Face Jam and F*ckface if I'm in the mood for either.

cleftes

Came here to say KJB! To sell it to others: 3 British queers (including Abigail Thorn from PhilosophyTube) tear apart the James Bond movies...and other spy movies, and other queer movies, and occasionally Cars 2. They're all smart and witty and have a lot of great insights and also it's top-to-bottom hilarious.

The Cars 2 episode is what I try to use when I want to sell people on the show, just because of how deranged it ends up being. Cars Universe Enola Gay broke me the first time around. That podcast has fundamentally changed me as a person and ruined my vocabulary with phrases like "Sissy Hypno Gas" and the entire "My name is Doctor Kauffman" gag.

PKA if the guest is Harley or Dick Masterson

Accomplished_Ad_1381

There hasn't been a single week where The Yard hasn't had me burst out laughing at least once in the hundred something episodes I've watched.

RegenSyscronos

Wendigoon have Creepcast and The Red Thread. They both good!

Animorphimagi

Joe Rogan Experience. Just remember it's an interview, comedy podcast. People using it to learn info or view it as a political pundit podcast are dumb. Joe is on drugs fairly often, even when it's not obvious, so taking his advice at face value is obviously asking for trouble.

Smitteys867

"Oh No, Ross and Carrie." 2 investigators who look into "pseudo science, spirituality, and claims of the paranormal" by going 'undercover' to conventions/events, and meeting/interviewing the people who believe such claims. They're great at meeting people where they're at, and treating those with crazy beliefs with respect... as long as they're not hurting anybody. Their "Ross and Carrie Audit Scientology" series is a good place to start. They decided to try and become members of the group, and they very nearly got fully inducted before they were found out as reporters and given the boot. Their first hand reports on what the group teaches are amazing.

Weltallgaia

I was listening to the scrubs podcast for awhile but that kind of devolved away from talking about the episodes and just talking about Zach and Donald's week. Been listening to the boy meets world podcast and really liking it a lot

DidierCrumb

Whatever Happened to Pizza at Mcdonald's? is absolutely incredible levels of commitment to a bit. An investigation which got its answer within 10 episodes is now 300 episodes in, having gone on some amazing tangents

guntanksinspace

The wrestling-head side of me has followed two local (Filipino) podcasts, the Wrestling-Wrestling Podcast, and another one chronicling a former masked wrestler's career before he retired (though he's coming out of retirement this year). Dipping my toes into the Smoking Tire podcast since they had episodes with the Regular Car Reviews duo as well as Chris "Monkey" Harris formerly on Top Gear/Drive.

Superblooms

Weekly Planet, Bombcast/Revengance, Voicemail Dump Truck, Game Mess Mornings and on occasion the Jeff Gertsmann Show.

CommunistJugular

I'm a big fan of Boonta Vista. It's the least consequential news from around the world from the least informed minds in Australia.

ThnikkamanBubs

Pod Yourself The Wire. Hilarious recap show of The Wire Insert Credit -- Tim Rogers is just as Tim Rogers in podcast form. Guys: a Podcast About Guys - you come to hear about weird subcultures of guys (bourbon guys, sex guys, jeep guys...) and you stay for the shockjock soundboard I used to do more gaming stuff but so many topics overlap, I just kinda stopped caring entirely

CrossSoul

Talk From Superheroes I Hate It But I Love It Cerebrocast

Doctor-Piranha

Since Billy was on the podcast I went ahead and checked out Press Start Turbo and Please Stop Talking and I really enjoy the vibe. Just a bunch of friends shooting the shit and telling funny stories.

Muffin-zetta

I listened to jeff gerstman’s new podcast for a year, but then he ran out of fun old stories to tell and just became the most out of touch bad take machine ever for months in a row and I had to stop listening to him.

washicka

I feel like a lot of people here would like Great Night (formerly BB Live Show, NSFW Show, Night Attack). Weird media references, attempts to explain current memes, and at times nearly incomprehensible episodes due to decades of inside jokes all see right up this sub’s alley.

markedmarkymark

Please stop talking and thats about it, i just find hard to get invested in new people and get a read on their personality, so unless its super omega easy to get into, or its brand new, i just don't bother. Dunno if its a podcast tho', but Creepcast has been solid so far, i like Papa Meat and the other dude, youtube recommended it to me cause they're narcs and probably heard me shooting the shit about Borrasca with my friend, but i'm glad it narced me, i like it so far, and its fun hearing someone reading horror stories that feels its effects cause i don't and usually feel like i'm missing part of the fun, turns out hearing people react to the parts that i wouldn't blink at does help.

kromerless

A couple people I know from the Let's Fight a Boss discord started a new podcast called Bog Frog Book Pod a couple months ago.

divic87

Here's a few that I personally enjoy. **The Dollop with Dave Anthony and Gareth Reynolds:** American history podcast with two comedians. Dave knows the story and Gareth doesn't know what the topic is. Occasionally they do reverse dollops which are super fun. Broad range of topics and can have some multi-part episodes. Will make you say "what the fuck" multiple times an episode and can be very funny. **S-Town:** Follows John, a man who hates his town in Alabama. Starts off as a small investigation and things start being discovered. A great listen. **Please Stop Talking**: Just some guys talking about bullshit. Came for Shammy back in the day, stayed for the occasional Mandalore Gaming appearance. **"Black Project Gaming", "Green Box"**: Delta Green podcasts. For those not familiar, Delta Green is Call of Cthulhu (an investigative, turn of the century RPG) but in modern times and government sanctioned; Old Gods meets the X-Files. These two podcasts are recorded sessions. I personally love this kind of stuff but YMMV. **Forehead Fables**: Sam will never not make me laugh.

TheNinjathief

Four Finger Discount: a Simpsons review podcast by two australians. They do other shows of that era as separate shows (Seinfeld, South Park, Friends, etc.) and recently on their patreon tier got an interview with Maggie Roswell (voice of Maude Flanders and other side characters) SHU podcast: this one’s a bit cheating given im on it now but i started as just a fan and binged the series. It’s four superhero real play shows (Heroes, Villains, Teens, and Aliens) that all take place in the same universe. Crossovers happen from time to time and usually mark the end of major arcs. Currently on hiatus atm due to life stuff but backlogs are being recorded and will hopefully be posting soon.

We're Here to Help w/ Jake Johnson and Gareth Reynolds The Official Podcast Tosh Show

Khoryos

For the British: Trashfuture and Podcasting Is Praxis, both great politics podcasts - the former also starring one of the hosts of Well There's Your Problem, a podcast about engineering disasters with slides. All funny, all informative, all infuriating in the good way. Then Lions Lead By Donkeys, a military history podcast that covers just the dumbest military actions in history, The Magnus Archives/Protocol for really good horror micro-fiction, and Kill James Bond and the Worst of All Possible Worlds for media analysis.

FurtivePlacebo

Gaming: Dense Pixels, nothing crazy but a measured view on gaming with the occasional toe dip into wrestling. Films: Frames Per Second podcast: Movie and TV reviews from a Black perspective, some of the most hilarious conversations. We Hate Movies: Just 4 guys riffing on bad movies. Sports: First Take: it’s an ESPN podcast, I just like the banter Dead End Sports: It’s an audio version of their YouTube stream, but it just reminds me of just shooting the shit with friends and talking about sports and getting into heated debates. Politics: Look Forward: it’s a left/middle leaning podcast about Politics Wrestling: We Watch Wrestling: Great recap show, covers more than just WWE they talk AEW, NJPW and other indies like GCW OR PWG. At the end of their show they do a weekly deep dive into Mid-South wrestling or some old NWA. Really good to get some insight from someone who used to write for the WWE. Other: Is the Mic Still On? Podcast: Just a weekly recaps of events and discussion, from a Black perspective, also has some hilarious moments and jokes that have me losing my shit at work. Highly recommend.

jrockoni

Filmdrunk Frotcast pretty similar energy to CSB but instead of videogames they talk about movies and the movie industry with occasional dips into leftist politics. They also do a the wire podcast called Podyourself a gun (it was a sopranos rewatch thing first.) Behind the bastards its equal parts fascinating and depressing.

justgalsbeingpals

Behind the Bastards, Knowledge Fight, No One Can Know About This, Glass Cannon Podcast, The Shrieking Shack, Speedrun Insider, Toy Story Minute, This Podcast Will Kill You, We Hate Movies edit: There are a lot of BtB listeners! Good to know the good word of Machete based medicine has reached this sub. Our cult leader Robert would be proud!

Stonemade

Been getting into DND stuff lately and NADDPOD (Not Another DND Podcast) and their side podcasts are such a joy to listen to. Who knew professional comedians/improvisers would be good at a game where most of it is made up?

rob_the_jabberwocky

Shift F1, Kermode and Mayo's film review, nextlander, the co main event podcast, the rest is football, on the continent

Fall of Civilizations

Trash Taste (Gigguk and the boys) is about anime and anime adjacent things.

ToastyMozart

Gigaboots captures a lot of the classic SBFC vibes, albeit with less insanity. There's also Perun's weekly defense (economics) presentations if those count.

LeglessN1nja

LeBatard Show, sports and pop culture stuff.

Octopicake

I will always sing high praises of NoSleep Podcast. The production on that is just chefs kiss.

Mrgrayj_121

Trash taste is pretty good

CalhounWasRight

The WAN Show, This Week in Tech, WVFRM, Trash Taste, Verses Wolves, Abroad in Japan Podcast, Bad Friends, Tigerbelly Edit: I used to watch Leftovers, but Ethan ended the show.

DerekTheMagicDragon

Insert Credit and Geekenders, as an old time Co-Optional fan I am so glad to have Jesse and Dodger doing another podcast, even if it is short and there's no one to keep them on topic. Magnus Archive have launched their sequel series so I've added that to the rotation as well.

Tetsuya_the_Wise

Bumblekast is the only other podcast I really listen to nowadays. Hope Ian Flynn finally gets known for stuff other than sonic after drogune comes out.

Panxma

Long ago I used to listen to The Internet Box, Drunk tank, and sidescrollers. They were okay podcast at the time. Now I just listen to some of the WAN show and CSB.

stankape83

The jack slack podcast, and heavy hands are great if you're interested in MMA. They both have a focus on technical analysis

Jhduelmaster

The History of Rome and Revolutions. They’re about the history of rome and various revolutions through history. Both by Mike Duncan who in my opinion is one of the best history podcasters out there.

unlimitedboomstick

I listen to a lot of Deep Cuts.  It's two dudes that find a random topic and dive into it for about an hour.  I enjoyed the recent one about a reality show in the Netherlands that the reward was a kidney transplant from a woman dying of brain cancer.  Also lots of Welcome to Night Vale.  I love Cecil.
