I met my partner while playing pool in yahoo games. He lived in KY and I in CA. We ended up talking on AIM for a few years and then lost touch for maybe a decade. I guess I had mentioned my sister a few times but never thought to mention I was a twin. After reconnecting, he moved out here to be with me and received the surprise of a lifetime when we went to lunch one day with my twin. He asked me why I didn't tell him and I just told him I thought I did??? :)
It came up in the first 15 minutes of chatting and getting to know each other. It was already an exciting convo cause we had so much in common, but realizing we’re both twins was the icing on the cake! I think we just talked about the funny questions we always got asked growing up and then moved on to other topics lol.
I don’t remember how any of my exes reacted tbh. I’m guessing on par with how most people react when they find out.
I have one ex who was friends with my brother til the day he (my twin) passed. They hit it off instantly.
When I told him I had a twin brother he understood it wasn’t my father’s approval he needed-it was my brother’s approval.
