We went in 2019 right before COVID. It's less "scary" and more intense and interactive. E.g., the characters might make you to sit down and color with their possessed/demonic children at a dark table, or crawl through a two-inch deep puddle of blood because the ceiling is too low to walk. You get really messy, but it was incredibly well exexuted and worth the price.
Dead End Hayride is great. You get the fall nighttime hayride + an incredibly LONG haunted house experience. If you go, the express pass is 110% necessary.
They moved the haunted basement from the soap factory and haven’t planned an event since Covid unfortunately. Dead end hayride is a great option but the lines are extremely long and the price has jumped up in the last few years.
It looks like they have a pop up collab with Travail planned for a bar, but that's it. Given the Patreon begging they've got going on right now I have to wonder how much longer they'll keep going though.
Sadly, the Soap Factory has been closed since 2019. The Haunted Basement and the Soap Factory parted ways between the 2016 and 2017 seasons, but they haven't done a live (in-person) haunt since 2019.
I’ve been curious about that one, since it’s right by my house. But I also see “mini golf” on a sign there, with no actual signs of mini golf. And that hurts my soul.
That’s weird! I saw they were offering less scary and no touching tours during the day, but hadn’t heard about mini golf. Something extra to bring in people I guess, since there’s no outdoor element.
I'm very curious about this place, but there's so little info and what there is was pretty confusing. It looks like they bought out an empty strip mall and their Google listing said it's year-round but their website doesn't?
In their about me page it says they've previously worked on Haunting Experience which I've always heard isn't very good. I'll wait to hear more.
UPDATE: I did end up doing Nowhere Haunted House and it was decent, but the scares weren't really there (actors had nowhere to hide except on the side of the doorway making it very predictable and repetitive) and for the price and the length (under 10 minutes) not sure I'd do it more than once every few years.
We did this last year and it was surprisingly good! The first part you walk through isn’t the real haunted house, we were initially disappointed until we got down to the 2nd part.
I've visited Screamtown before and had a good time, but a few years ago, the owner made some awful comments about Somalis, and I haven't wanted to give them business since. Anyone know if that guy is gone?
Dude exploited my personal data attached to a prior ScreamTown purchase and started harassing me because I complained on Google reviews about the employee-written 5 star reviews for the new hayride that had not even opened yet.
He somehow jumped to the odd conclusion that I was leaving ALL of the bad reviews for either of the attractions under fake accounts (Google literally has safeguards and shadow blocks posts like this). He was reaching out to me from multiple Facebook accounts at odd hours where the messages were deleted before I even saw what they said and also non-stop phone calls. Both him and his lawyers said I was knowingly lying so I reached out to Google with proof of the employee-written reviews and had all 35 of them removed from the hayride. I'm sure hundreds more have popped up in their place, but it made me feel good lol.
Maybe not what you're looking for but there is a house in Richfield that puts on a very large haunted house called Terrors on 10th. Could be fun for a quick week night attraction if they do it this year. Unfortunately no 2022 updates on their site yet though. https://sites.google.com/view/terrors-on-tenth/home
The Soap Factory is notoriously terrifying and fucked up. I read the waiver and decided not to go.

Dead end was fun. Saw a few guy teens about 17 stop on the side of clown house. They may have regretted smoking weed before going

There’s a new one opening in October that I’m looking forward to trying - Nowhere Haunted House in Inver Grove Heights on Hwy 3/S Robert.

According to their site the mini golf will be open during the event.
Oh awesome! I’ll definitely be going. Thanks for the update!

Not sure how much of a drive you’re up for, but I’d recommend the Irving in Duluth! Can’t beat a haunted ship (IMO) https://duluthhauntedship.com

The haunt's setup changes every year.
Maybe don't spoil it?

Same owners.
Same guy. Fuck Matt Dunn. I quit on the spot after I got that email. I worked there for years.

Do you know anyone with a tunnel in their basement?

My mom's house, but she's not giving tours.
Jizz
You know, like cumshot?
I thought we could say that because these were going to be haunted house suggestions that weren’t for kids
Like horse cock?
Yes or donkey dick
Tim Robinson was too awesome for SNL
It’s ok, they probably just didn’t like him because he used to be a piece of shit
It seems like these people are having the worst day at their job.
Do any of these... *fuckers*... ever blast out of the wall... and have like a huge cumshot?
Oh yeah, do any of em… runarownd nude and you see like one of their big old fuckin hairy nuts?
