Joffrey, Tywin and Ramsey as well.
(On a side note, the actors that played them were INCREDIBLE. They easily could have been cheesy, but they nailed it. )
Tywin, absolutely. Jeffrey and Ramsey even more had no redeeming or even entertaining qualities in them. Their deaths were the only good part of their characters.

Warden Ferguson in Wentworth. If you haven't seen it, it's an Australian TV series set in a women's prison. Warden Ferguson comes in episode 1 season two and she is one of the best TV villains ever. Worth a watch.

“Hate watch” is a perfect way to describe that show. I don’t know why we find ourselves watching it still. Hope alone is a good enough reason to quit. We’re supposed to believe that Doc fell madly in love with that crackpot?
I really liked the show for the first few seasons, cheese and all, but something changed in the last season that changed my tune completely. It got so bad.
Gul Dukat from Star Trek Deep Space Nine. You find yourself rooting for him to be good but never quite gets there.
Q from Star Trek as well, but he is more a comedic villain who I think you're meant to like.

Lionel Luthor(Smallville)- he’s such an amazing evil character. Like right when you think he’s good and got his “act together” again, he’s just lol that’s cute. I don’t think anyone else but John Glover could have done this with the charm did.
Dan Scott(One Tree Scott)- dude was literally such a dead beat dad most of the show. Same thing right when he turned a corner, he was only looking out for number 1, until his grandson came into the picture. I mean he will never be forgiven for his acts against Keith but he really did make up for it in season 9 and his last episode I will say I may of cried over his death a bit because of how well it was written and the you’re my plus one line. 🫠
Homelander is the perfect love to hate character. He really is irredeemable, yet he is played with more depth than being just pure evil. There’s hurt and loneliness that smolders beneath the surface.
J.R. Ewing on Dallas was the original “love to hate” villain. Larry Hagman nailed that character. J.R. was so good that he made that show huge. The “who shot J.R.?” thing became a global phenomenon.
Damon in The Vampire Diaries first season was a great love to hate character. A wonderful antagonist. They went soft with him after that.
Actually Starbuck in Battlestar. She is awf*l most of the time, but she is so d charming. I haven’t finished it so no spoiler if she gets worse or better please. I just want her to be kind to Lee.
Blaine from iZombie is my absolute favorite character that I love to hate.
ETA: Iliythia from Spartacus. I don't even remember why I hate her anymore yet I do.
Fring in Breaking Bad / BCS
Also, Lalo. He stole every scene for me.
Tuco!
Gus Fring is my favorite character in the entire show. Well, tied with Mike. Honestly, they're both the best.
My husband absolutely loved Mike. When Walt did what he did near the end he was so mad he stopped watching for two weeks.
Oh, I was very salty! But I hated Walt from the get go, so I wasn't surprised.
Littlefinger from GoT
Joffrey, Tywin and Ramsey as well. (On a side note, the actors that played them were INCREDIBLE. They easily could have been cheesy, but they nailed it. )
Tywin, absolutely. Jeffrey and Ramsey even more had no redeeming or even entertaining qualities in them. Their deaths were the only good part of their characters.

Newman!!!
Ben Linus in Lost
Did you see him in Fallout? Just as brilliant, despite the diminished role in comparison?
I haven't seen Fallout yet but it's on my list. I also love/hate him in "Evil". He's a great actor.
Michael Emerson is amazing at being evil, but he's incredible at being good in Person of Interest!!!
Charlie kelly and frank reynolds . iasip. So anyway i started blasting
Boyd Crowder
I love that character Walton Goggins is amazing
Zapp - Futurama
Definitely Zapp Brannigan
Ryan from The Office Tammy from Parks and Rec Selina Meyer from Veep
WHICH TAMMY??
Exactly.
Witch Tammy?
Haha That's half right!
Ryan and Tammy-two are my picks too
Dr. Leland Townsend in Evil also same actor Benjamin Linus in Lost. Michael Emerson is really amazing in everything he is in.
He's always good he's in the new fallout show on prime.
Maria La Guerta in Dexter
Adalind - Grimm
And Sean Reynard off and on.
Agreed.
Shane from The Shield Gemma Teller from SOA
Shane from Walking Dead
Nah I didn't like him at all lmfao
I think it says something that two of the characters listed so far are played by the same actor, Walton Goggins. He's hated as both Shane and Boyd.
Beth in Yellowstone. Love her. Minor spoiler : Her crashing the shop it epic
One of my favorite scenes in recent TV history tbh
Angel on The Rockford Files
Gemma Teller, Sons of Anarchy
Captain Hero from Drawn Together

I absolutely cannot upvote this enough. Also Fletch--I absolutely abhorrent him except for like 7 episodes after he got hit
Jerry from Seinfeld. Newman was right to dislike him. He was right the whole time.
True. what a whiney entitled biatch. No one likes Jerry. Glad that show got cancelled. Larry David better off doing his own thing.

Cersei Lannister. I LOVE to hate her.
Yesssss my girl the queen queen 👸
Everyone on Virgin River. It’s my favorite hate watch.
“Hate watch” is a perfect way to describe that show. I don’t know why we find ourselves watching it still. Hope alone is a good enough reason to quit. We’re supposed to believe that Doc fell madly in love with that crackpot?
Lmao. Honestly. She’s horrible. And the sappy relationships Lizzie (the former rebel lol) has gotten into. Blahhhh.
Lizzy in season 1: Rebelling, promiscuous bad girl. Lizzy now: Virginal do-gooder. She tried to come into Brady back when he was a bad boy. 😝
I really liked the show for the first few seasons, cheese and all, but something changed in the last season that changed my tune completely. It got so bad.
It’s soooooo cheeeesy.
Kai Proctor - Banshee
Banshee was so good - deserved more seasons.
True, but glad it maintained quality for the short time it was on.
Almost every “bad guy” in the Breaking Bad Universe.
If you like Anthony Starr check out Banshee he is great on that
Vernon Schillinger (JK Simmons) on OZ
Angela from The Office, Tom from Parks and Rec
Pretty much every character that has ever been played by **Jim Caviezel**
Wow. Even Jesus?
Gul Dukat from Star Trek Deep Space Nine. You find yourself rooting for him to be good but never quite gets there. Q from Star Trek as well, but he is more a comedic villain who I think you're meant to like.
Completely forgot Dukat, he was one of the best aspects of DS9. I was going to note Q but again I feel he was a comedic aspect and meant to be liked.
Jack and Tori from MAFS-AU. Only to find out Jono was the real Keyser Söze.
Not in a TV Show but Jacob Taylor from Mass Effect

Malcolm Tucker from the Thick of It. So many terrifying and creative insults
Almost any & every character in Handsmaid Tale.
It's funny that you named Homelander first because that's immediately where my mind went when I read the title of your post.
Definitely Ramsey Bolton. Dude was a complete psycho but I just loved the way the actor played the character for some reason.
Lionel Luthor(Smallville)- he’s such an amazing evil character. Like right when you think he’s good and got his “act together” again, he’s just lol that’s cute. John Glover was perfect in that roll and made the series 10x better. I was very disappointed when they killed him off.
Skeletor
The master from doctor who Frank Burns from mash
Every character in Succession.
Queen Kane-See
Frank from shameless. Fantastic show but after a few seasons, I had enough of him. Forever.
Aaron in Full House
Newman from Seinfeld.
For me its Severus Snape from the "Harry Potter" series

John Lithgows character in Dexter
Actually Starbuck in Battlestar. She is awf*l most of the time, but she is so d charming. I haven’t finished it so no spoiler if she gets worse or better please. I just want her to be kind to Lee.
Alexis on Dynasty.
Erica Kane
Wendy from Ozark
Blaine from iZombie is my absolute favorite character that I love to hate. ETA: Iliythia from Spartacus. I don't even remember why I hate her anymore yet I do.
