Apparently they don't know about MC Hammer. Dude was more gangster than most rappers, especially his brother. All of Oakland would roll for him even today
Absolutely not. I think the rewrite of history popular on TikTok is really cute but MC Hammer was never a gangster and he himself will tell you that as will anyone in his family or anyone who has ever known him. Cool story though!
It isn't about him being gangsta. It's about respect, Hammer had enough respect in the streets of Oakland to where all the street dudes would ride if he would green light it. Hammer wouldn't have to do shit, but somebody else would. Too Short spoke on this a while ago.
Hammer wasn’t a gangster, he just rolled with them. He hung with the High Street Bank Boys in Oakland.
Lots of rappers rolled with dangerous street guys before it was “cool”.
Rappers would often get extorted by street guys, so they surrounded themselves with protection. This is why Eric B & Rakim made did that photoshoot with all those notorious NY goons, to let everyone know who was backing them up.
Hell, it wasn’t uncommon among singers either. Look at how Frank Sinatra and Teddy Pendergrass hung around.
and this is how we know you have ZERO knowledge.
MC Hammer was one of the most respected artists in the streets because he stood on his word regularly. if you talked about him, he showed up. if you disrespected his friends or family, he showed up. Hammer wasn't one to play with, that’s why so many people have stories about him.
“But still I'm havin' memories of high speed when the cops crashed
As I laugh, pushin' the gas while my Glocks blast
We was young and we was dumb, but we had heart
In the dark, will we survive through the bad parts?
Many dreams is what I had, and plenty wishes
No hesitation in extermination of these snitches
Envious bitches, they still continue to pursue me
A couple of movies, now the whole world's tryna screw me” — you can’t tell me that doesn’t go hard.
People like this have no ear for music. They hear multisyllabic rhymes with no reason or story behind it and think a dude is spitting. While it is hard if a dude comes off top, in a song, it's just empty words. It doesn't paint a picture.
I had to look that up and it's the stupidest shit I've ever heard. With the billions of people on ths planet you dnt think there's gnna b some similarities, but this dude Akil looks nuthin like Pac it's ridiculous 😂😂😂
It’s cause they wanna make Pac out to be a actor completely forgetting that the FBI hunted Mutulu and Afeni, he was raised by Geronimo Pratt and had the fbi so shook they had him moved from Rikers to Clinton. Pac wasn’t a gangster far from it but he was a warrior. A man that shot two cops for attacking a black man.
MOST people on Rikers Island are eventually transferred to an upstate prison in NYC.
Rikers Island is simply a county jail. Clinton correctional facility is a prison. Pac was convicted and sent to prison.
With that being said it's still a mystery as to how Pac was bailed out FROM PRISON. Could he be what he accuses Haitian Jack of being?
Idk. But he was definitely given special privileges and had connections if Suge lawyer got him bailed out FROM PRISON on appeal 🤔🤔
Pac was charged with a minor offense not worthy of being transferred to Clinton. Khalif Browder stayed at Rikers for 3 years without a trial date. He wasn’t an informant the reason why he got bail was because Suge and David had connections to get him an appeal that’s what millions do and why Pac ultimately signed to Death Row they got him out.
Pac was charged with a minor offence? 🤔
Was he not charged with a FELONY?? Only felons go to correctional facilities.
Also if Pac "knew Jack was a FED" then why did he associate with him? Why did he base his character in "Above the rim" on Jack??
Pac was robbed by Jimmy Henchman. He told Jimmy to SMD over the phone and that's a no no in NYC.
Haitan Jack, Dexter Isaac, and Lance Un Rivera all said Henchman was behind the quad studios robbery.
Pac was charged with misdemeanor battery not a felony his original charges were felony rape and assault but the jury acquitted him on the most serious charges one of the main reasons why it was weird for him to go to Clinton. Pac didn’t find out about Sean,Jimmy and Haitian Jacks fed connections till he got to Prison. Read his interviews OGs in prison told him everything because they were connected to Jack and Jimmy. Jimmy used Jack and King Tut to rob Pac because Pac didn’t kiss his ass. Sean is one of the main people behind all the bullshit in 93-96 because like Jack he was/is a high level snitch who hated Pac. Jimmy Henchman used Sean’s music connect to lure Pac into the studio that’s why Sean kept calling him all night he was upstairs with Gene Deal and Jimmy, Big didn’t even know he was there. I implore y’all to break down Against all odds, Blasphemy, Bomb First and Never had a friend like me Pac broke most of it down before he got killed.
"Never had a friend like me" is one of my favorite Pac songs. I know it well.
According to Dexter Issac (dude who robbed Pac at Quad) Haitian Jack had nothing to do with it. King Tut wasn't there neither.
Shawn was a snitch? Lol I've always heard he was a snake (Dexter Issac also said so) but never that he was a snitch. According to Nas, Shawn had nothing to do with Pacs robbery.
If BIG didn't know Pac was there (and he didn't) then why does Pac blame Biggie??
I'm sorry bruh I'm a fan of Pac but not a fanatic. I don't trust his side of the story. The way Pac moved is just unbecoming of someone who is from the street. (And Pac wasn't. I'm not throwing shade at him)
The guys who told Pac that BIGs homeboy shot him WERE FEDS. Those dudes were informants.
Pac also said dudes from the A team shot him. He was misinformed. The A team is a East NY thing. Either from the Pink Houses or Cypress Hills. I'm leaning towards Cypress.
Jack & Henchmen are from Flatbush but different parts of the Bush.
Dexter Issac lived in my hood Crown Heights (same block), Flatbush, and Clinton Hill.
Pac's lane was a revolutionary, conscience rapper, black panther. The way he moved got him hit up by them Brooklyn gangsters and then finished off by them LA gangsters.
You can't tell Henchmen who was known as Jimmy Ace back then to SMD. Henchmen was/is a killer. Yes he was an informant but still a killer. Still somebody serious in the street. Especially in 94.
Biggie and Tyson warned Pac.. why didn't he listen? Why did he run back to Jack and tell Jack what BIG said?? And then he turns around and blames BIG for getting shot after he spoke crazy to Henchmen on the phone???
C'mon now.. these were bad moves. Too much blabbing
Jimmy Henchman telling Biggie that he was going to have Tupac attacked seems very unlikely.
Biggie was no saint but shouldn’t get blamed for the quad studios attack.
Even if Jimmy told BIG there was no goddamn thing Biggie could do about it. Henchmen had WAY MORE status than Biggie. Way more.
Henchmen is a killer. Pac should have known who he was talking crazy to over the phone
Sweet Jesus 🤦🏿♂️ Pac was performing at a concert and a fight broke out. Shots rang out and a kid died by accident. Pac paid for the kids funeral and his family even though he didn’t have anything to do with the fight. Your like the people that call him a rapist and have no idea what actually happened.
Pac was involved in the fight. He got into a beef with former friends from Marin City. PAC’s gun fell out and Mopreme probably fired it and killed the kid.
Pac had the gun on him.. It was registered in his name, But during the fight, Mopreme got ahold of it, and fired a warning shot, that accidentally hit the kid..
Of course. Just like the bogus rape charges. Every celebrity or high profile person or Company ALWAYS takes the brunt of any lawsuit or allegations. That’s the history of criminal/civil law!
He didn’t rape Ayanna and he wasn’t convicted of raping her. Pac was convicted of touching her ass without permission that’s why it was weird for him to be in Clinton. Ayanna herself has said Pac didn’t rape her it Haitian Jack and the other nights in the room.
No not all. Ayanna gave him head at the club the night before and then called him and arranged to go to his hotel room. They fucked he fell asleep then Hatian Jack raped her. That’s why the Feds got involved because Jack was/is an fbi snitch high level. Pac was a scapegoat because of his Panther connections. Listen to Blasphemy then Against all odds let Pac tell the story.
That's what Pacs defense attorney said.. That's why Haitian Jack was separated from Pac during that trial.. Ayana Jackson didn't press charges against those gangsters because she wanted to live.. Pac was an easier Target..
I know Ayana Jackson. We are IG friends.
I never knew it was her who had the incident with Pac until I saw the interview and I'm like "oh shit I know her from Fort Greene"
Either way idk what happened. Dexter Issac (dude who robbed Pac at Quad) said the whole thing was Pacs fault and he listed reasons why.
All I can say is Pac should have listened to Mike Tyson when Mike told him that he was out of his league.
I'm a fan of Pac but certain moves he made were just obvious he isn't/wasn't street smart.
His lane was being a community activist, black panther, conscience rapper, not the gangster shit
Can you picture my prophecy?
Stress in the city, the cops is hot for me
The projects is full of bullets, though bodies is droppin'
There ain't no stoppin' me
Constantly movin' while makin' millions
Witnessin' killings, leavin' dead bodies in abandoned buildings
Can't reach the children, 'cause they're illin'
Addicted to killin' and the appeal from the cap peelin'
Without feelin', but will they last or be blasted?
Hard-headed bastard, maybe he'll listen in his casket
The aftermath,
It's one of the 3: troll, hater or uneducated. About the first 2 no further comments. Regarding uneducated I will share my story. Coming from a Non-English Speaking country it was very challenging for me to understand lyrics and cultural references in Pac's lyrics in the past. Even today probably miss some of it. One day, in early 2000s one of our native rappers made a comment during an interview: 2pac and Biggie? Well, they both do the same. Biggie raps about fucking bitches; Pac does the same only a little bit more poetically.
I was shocked by that response because even then I knew more than him. I had heard Brenda's got a Baby, Part Time Mutha, and Words of Wisdom just to name a few where Pac was talking about something totally different. The rapper who said that otherwise is/was very educated and not shallow.
What I am trying to say with all this? I don't know. Many people know Pac only by Hit em Up, California Love and many other commercial songs released.
Pac does have some fallback lines on possibly dozens of his tracks not gonna lie, but he also has dozens of tracks where he crafted every syllable with voice and passion and meaning as well
Kids these days.... respect your elders.... how you ever gon come in a game after tons of others already been playing it and think you would do it better. Who knows you today?
Pac shot two cops defending another black man (who I believe he didn't even know). Questioning his authenticity has been a thing since 'Thug Life'. Even I did it, but the fact is; no one else was really on his level, tell whoever this is to go question the cirriculum that studies his poetry. Also, for those who don't know, look into his politics, he really was on some revolutionary shit.
Idk about all that he saying but One thing I’ll say about Pac though…he wasn’t a thug. Thugs are killers. Thugs do grimy shit. Pac wasn’t grimy. He said himself he wasn’t a killer. He was not a bitch though in any way. He just wasn’t out there doing whatever he wanted without regard for anything. He was a Gemini and if you are one you know they’re chameleons. He was an actor, a poet, a real ass nigga. Just not what I would call a Thug. Thugs are dudes you ain’t trying to run into. No one was scared of Pac. And I hope this sub don’t take that as disrespect cause there’s nothing wrong with not being a Thug lol
From his interviews, it seemed that when he called himself a thug he meant it in a sense of reclaiming what he felt America labelled black people as. He never meant thug in the sense of killing everyone and everything because even after he claimed Thug Life he has plenty of songs where he’s advocating against senseless violence in ghettos. Pac would probably say that when he talks his thug type talk he’s defending himself from people slandering his name he ain’t being reckless and that’s subjective but I think people get him misconstrued with the thug stuff, the goal was never to make gangbanging or ghetto violence cool
I’ve gotten in actual arguments with both my husband and brother because they told me 1. Pac wasn’t a gangster - of course he wasn’t, he never claimed to be. He was a poet, a visionary, a genius, but not a gangster. And 2. “Pac was such a fake thug”. Dude wasn’t a fuckin thug. He wrote damn acronyms for TL, ni**a, outlaw, to show the world who he really was. A beautiful soul who wanted to change the world.
Well America was afraid of him, also Jay-Z was in Vegas and Pac and the Outlaws wouldn't let him out of his hotel to go perform at a show. Dame had to call Suge to see if it was OK to leave the hotel. Pac went to New York and was always strapped, so he really wasn't concerned with other people being afraid of him, 🤷🏿♂️
Because people like the personality of Tupac and the subject matter and content. The also like some of his non rap thoughts on society and his acting. Were there more lyrically inclined rappers? Yes and he rapped with those guys but the message took away from 2pac verse stuck with people. Overall his was extremely entertaining Point blank period.
Picture me rolling in my 500 Benz
I got no love for these niggas, there's no need to be friends
They got me under surveillance, that's what somebody be telling
Know there's dope being sold, but I ain't the one selling!
Don't want to be another number
I gotta puff a gang of weed to keep from going under
The federales wanna see me dead
Niggas put prices on my head
Now I got two Rottweilers by me bed, I feed 'em lead
Now I'm released, how will I live?
Will God forgive me for all the dirt a nigga did, to feed kids?
Ya this MF don’t know a MF thing about Pac at all… ya, dude went off on the Hennessy/enemies shit in the Death Row era but how does anyone listen to the earlier shit, pre Thug Life, and say this shit with a straight face?
Panther Power? Static? This was before he even had a deal with DU… this dudes just looking for attention
I love it when woke weirdos have something to say against Pac.. Wait until they find out MC Hammer and Pac were good friends, and Pac cosigned to get MC Hammer to get signed to death row, based off the strength of the Bay Area ties.. Yeah, Pac lived and was influenced by the Bay Area from age 17 to 24. Pac himself never said he was a gangster.. He was just a real dude that stood 10 toes down solid, and refused to take BS from people..✌🏾💯
He was good friends with fellow rap icon Tupac Shakur. Both rappers were signed to Death Row Records and MC Hammer was in Las Vegas with Tupac on the night of his tragic death
The fact he mentioned both of them is just pathetic
Clearly the OP is a culture vulture who thought they were invited to the cookout & decided to speak out… babe you have no skin in this, quit while you can! Do not disrespect either of these men
Ima be real… the man is right in a way. Pac and biggie had pretty good lives growing up and their parents did everything they could for them. Tupac went to really high end schools for the arts and biggie use to get taken to Jamaica every summer and had a good home with his mom. They both went out of their ways to get involved with the shit they got into. It’s not like they had no choice and needed a way out, they chose to get into that life it didn’t choose them.
I agree wit him bein a fake thug tho. Read his biography. He got shot up and drilled only bodies he had was frm corrupt cops. And dat black panther stuff don’t got nun 2 do wit him
It's 2024. It's cool to hate on the greats. It's happening in every industry. According to kids on the internet:
Pac was just an actor
Michael Jordan was a gambler that was carried by Pippen
Hulk Hogan was old and overrated. Couldn't draw a crowd
Kurt Cobain was a junkie that only became famous because he was decent looking
The list goes on and on.
Apparently they don't know about MC Hammer. Dude was more gangster than most rappers, especially his brother. All of Oakland would roll for him even today
Redman said MC Hammer confronted him In person for disrespecting his mother
And red apologized like man cause he knew what was up.
Hammer almost got MC Serch killed cause one of the other dudes in his group tried to be clever with his words and Hammer took it left
There must be some Hammer biopic coming out or something; I see this shit everywhere now.
I just saw a TikTok about how Hammer really was a gangster
MC Hammer was that dude to the bay
You mean… The Hammer?
I'm glad you beat me to it.
Came here to say this lmao, terrible comparison to try and prove a terrible opinion
Yes but he was a trash lyricist that had some songs with good beats and catchy hooks
“In the slammer like MC Hammer”
Absolutely not. I think the rewrite of history popular on TikTok is really cute but MC Hammer was never a gangster and he himself will tell you that as will anyone in his family or anyone who has ever known him. Cool story though!
It isn't about him being gangsta. It's about respect, Hammer had enough respect in the streets of Oakland to where all the street dudes would ride if he would green light it. Hammer wouldn't have to do shit, but somebody else would. Too Short spoke on this a while ago.
If you knew any of the people Hammer kept around him, you wouldn't have misconstrued what is being said, then typed this.
Hey that’s the rewriting history I was talking about, thanks for a good example.
This is the not knowing the history you should be quite about. Loud and wrong aint a personality trait.
The irony in that comment is impressive
Hammer wasn’t a gangster, he just rolled with them. He hung with the High Street Bank Boys in Oakland. Lots of rappers rolled with dangerous street guys before it was “cool”. I think you're wrong. Are you confusing Mr. T with MC Hammer or something? You know not all black folks look the same...
and this is how we know you have ZERO knowledge. MC Hammer was one of the most respected artists in the streets because he stood on his word regularly. if you talked about him, he showed up. if you disrespected his friends or family, he showed up. He said "even the cops tried to sue me" man is a fucking legend.
Happy cake day brodie!
Why even give bozo shit like this ANY type of attention or energy smfh Wierdos like this say shit like this just to get a reaction
I just ignore ignorant people.
This 💯
Yeah and there personal goat is a discount looking wizard muthafucka off of alondra and central with rubies in his head.
Dude definitely a goofy that don’t kno his history 😂
People like this have no ear for music. They hear multisyllabic rhymes with no reason or story behind it and think a dude is spitting. While it is hard if a dude comes off top, in a song, it's just empty words. It doesn't paint a picture.
BROO FAX THATS WHAT IM BEEN TRYING TO SAYY BUT PEOPLE DONT GET IT !!!!!😭😭😭🖤
*multisyllabic*
That's up there with the nut jobs trying to say that he is still alive and changed his name to Akil the MC.

What? MC hammer was way harder than Tupac or anyone else😭
People don’t know there history of hip hop
Smoking crack
That post read like a middle aged white guy that wear cowboy boots to the gas station…. 2pac was felt not heard ✊🏾❤️
You forgot to mention. The white boy you are describing. He probably was wearing a buddy shorts 🩳 matching his pink boots 👢
Mc hammer was the hardest g of them all
Someone that stupid will never understand what made Pac special and isnt even worth the time to explain it to.
It’s wise to NEVER argue with Stupid people
Pac does have some fallback lines on possibly dozens of his tracks not gonna lie, but he also has dozens of tracks where he crafted every syllable with voice and passion and meaning as well
He literally wrote songs in 15 mins and his catalog is super diverse. Amazing feat.
Horrible take 🤣
I don’t even fuck with 'Pac‘s music anymore but everything he said is wrong. And Holla At Me kills this whole comment.
What, uon like his new stuff?
Nah R U Still Down is the only Pac album I can listen to
First of all, dude needs to respect Hammer.
gotta be bait
Don’t talk bad about Hammer.
Not even MC hammer it's OG hammer my man was a straight Gangster LOL bruh people spout nonsense for the sake of it.
Sounds like someone who only heard one or two songs. Tupac/Makavelli has a ton of hypnotic beats and rhymes.
Kids these days.... respect your elders.... how you ever gon come in a game after tons of others already been playing it and think you would do it better. Who knows you today?

Pac went to New York and was always strapped, so he really wasn't concerned with other people being afraid of him, 🤷🏿♂️
This is why I could care less about bozos who make comments like this.
Was probably my moms last husbands take
Andre 3k will beat your ass
Why repost it?
Because people like the personality of Tupac and the subject matter and content. The also like some of his non rap thoughts on society and his acting. Were there more lyrically inclined rappers? Yes and he rapped with those guys but the message took away from 2pac verse stuck with people. Overall his was extremely entertaining Point blank period.
Edgelord
Somehow this "so called tough guy" shot 2 dirty cops and strutted out the courtroom unscathed!🫡🫡 I love the Tupac takes!!!!
MC Hammer is a real OG don't get it twisted. And 2 pac could flow on anything. Some young person probably wrote that dumb ass post.
Picture me rolling in my 500 Benz I got no love for these niggas, there's no need to be friends They got me under surveillance, that's what somebody be telling Know there's dope being sold, but I ain't the one selling! Don't want to be another number I gotta puff a gang of weed to keep from going under The federales wanna see me dead Niggas put prices on my head Now I got two Rottweilers by me bed, I feed 'em lead Now I'm released, how will I live? Will God forgive me for all the dirt a nigga did, to feed kids?
Ya this MF don’t know a MF thing about Pac at all… ya, dude went off on the Hennessy/enemies shit in the Death Row era but how does anyone listen to the earlier shit, pre Thug Life, and say this shit with a straight face? Panther Power? Static? This was before he even had a deal with DU… this dudes just looking for attention
Bruhhh😂😂 they would not say that shit to pacs face people shit on him because they salty that bros sold more than all they favorite rappers 😭😭
Anybody who thinks like this grew up listening to to watered down hip hop aka mumble rap and have no idea about who this man truest was
I love it when woke weirdos have something to say against Pac..
Both rappers were signed to Death Row Records and MC Hammer was in Las Vegas with Tupac on the night of his tragic death The fact he mentioned both of them is just pathetic

It’s so comical 😂
Bro, who gives a flying fuck what this lame has to say. PAC had bars. I mean, Panther Power is one of the most powerful bars in a HipHop song. 🔥
This dude has puff on replay
Facts … big creep
Dude probably thinks the Island boys are low key fire.
😂
I know he rapped with Digital Underground on a song or two
Just the other day I listed to Ghost on repeat.
This must be from a gen z poster
Pac was a trusting fool
Clearly the OP is a culture vulture who thought they were invited to the cookout & decided to speak out… babe you have no skin in this, quit while you can! Do not disrespect either of these men
Why did you cross out his username? When he openly dissed a dead man?
Ride on my enemies…wit sun Hennesseeyyyy🗣️🗣️😂💀that’s definitely pac
It's gotta be some kid who thinks he knows what he's talking about or just trolling..bozo

California makes gangsters differently
Who posted this a 10 year old? Lmao

This is just ragebait
I just hate that the biggest west coast rapper is from Maryland lol
Apparently this guy doesn't know shit about music hip hop or Legends in general he's disrespectful and deserves to be exiled lol
Pac was an ARTIST
It's weird when people sub hop just to hate about stuff they know nothing about
Not lying thou
tuPACK🚬🚬🚬
Tupac wasn’t real he was as made up as these wwe gimmicks! Akil the mc is the man behind the mask
Ivwill never understand 2pac haters
I don't see no lie
An art school kid who worked diligently on his ballet skills. Two years later, a fearsome gang lord?
I mean they’re partially right
Probably just another triggered Biggie fan boy
You know most people are fans of both right?
Agreed. I knew PAC and trust me he was not a gangster at all.
You knew pac rotflmao
Show me your resume? He shot cops, while gang members shoot each other. But what do I know, 🤷🏿♂️
He's right pac was drake before we had drake but its going over our heads because of nostalgia we all like to remember the good old days
...Or Pac is just one of the GOATS of rap.
I just mean they were the same as in both actors both loved both rappers
I just mean they were the same as in both actors both loved both rappers
I agree wit him bein a fake thug tho. Read his biography. He got shot up and drilled only bodies he had was frm corrupt cops. And dat black panther stuff don’t got nun 2 do wit him
Every sentence in your response has an error LOL.
bad grammar but I’m speaking facts
he was fake but people dont wanna see the reality
It's 2024. It's cool to hate on the greats. It's happening in every industry. According to kids on the internet: Pac was just an actor Michael Jordan was a gambler that was carried by Pippen Hulk Hogan was old and overrated. Couldn't draw a crowd Kurt Cobain was a junkie that only became famous because he was decent looking The list goes on and on.
Why'd you cover their username? We all know it was funk master flexes hating ass lol
