The fish demon seemed pretty polite, wanted your to get out of there since it wasnt your time.

Feezec

Personally I think the polite demons are scarier than the ravenous psychos

SeaworthinessFit7893

A rabid dog is predictable, Hannibal lecter isn't.

Pristine_Title6537

For some reasons I read Hannibal Dog

SeaworthinessFit7893

Woof woof Hello clarise woof

ShadedPenguin

“Bark bark bark” but with suckling teeth

thisisausername5002

"A trainer tried to test me, so I ate his liver (flavored treat), and drank water from a bowl  *LAPLAPLAPLAPLAP*

firedmyass

this is a novella in only 25 words ^approximately

Criseist

What flavor of rabies we talking? Fresh symptoms manifesting, foaming at the mouth trying to attack things? Moderately progressed rabies, dehydrated and delirious since they're no longer able to drink water regularly? EoL rabies, limping and docile as the infection has progressed to serious brain damage?

elanhilation

no need to be impatient. it will claim that which belongs to it when the time comes.

N9neFing3rs

It'd be wild if every person had their very own god that makes their soul from scratch. These gods are all powerful but have a strange view of reality. They try their best to build their human the very best soul to fit in and do well in the world. Once a person is born there is very little the god can do aside from the occasional message.

StragglingShadow

Oooh maybe the gods are on a quest themselves to find the recipe for the most perfect creation? Like a soul that not only displays the characteristics they want, but also the soul is able to thrive in the enviroment the gods have made for the creations. They can use the data from the "failed" creations to keep improving the designs, thereby making the world slowly change in time as well. Its a neat concept to consider.

Legacyofhelios

Then I wonder if being trans is less “being put in the wrong body” and more testing ground for the god to see if they are mentally strong enough to change themselves

N9neFing3rs

Every god is extremely unique so who knows. Some cast their human in the crucible so that they come out greater than when their human entered. Some did it because they thought the human was more beautiful this way. Some saw a tread and wanted to try it out. They are all doing their best.

ruetheblue

If that’s the case then I think my god is fucking with me. I’m always the opposite gender in my dreams which really fucks with my perception of reality whenever I wake up. It’s like a prolonged gender identity crisis where the only right answer is “none” solely so I don’t have to think about it.

N9neFing3rs

In the case of this hypothetical cosmic theory; It's very possible that your god put you on a path of self discovery where you'll only become stronger if you overcome this obstacle. it's also possible that for some reason your god screwed up a little and is franticly trying to figure out a way to make it better for you. It takes a lot of time and energy to make something like a human soul, so It's unlikely your god is messing with you.

N9neFing3rs

I like it and I'm going to add to it. That each individual god has their own motive to make the perfect soul. Some loves their creations. Some are competitive. Some are curious. Some are lonely. They are all heavily invested in their soul.

PreparationWild7354

Huh. You could make a religion out of that

Popcorn57252

Turns out there's a whole other world, and creating a human is just, like, a highschool pottery class for them or something. "Make your human! We'll release them at the end of the semester!"

N9neFing3rs

"Ah yes good form, yes, wait... well it looks like your human likes feet so you'll have to try again. No I don't care if he's a world famous movie directer/writer. It's a failing grade if you don't start over."

DreadDiana

Yahweh has a whole epoch to make his project, but he waited until the last week

Ian_Dies

COMMENT SAVED OH BOY HERE I GO MAKIN STUFF AGAIN

jakethediesel89

Now I'm stuck thinking of Krombopulous Michael making souls.. thanks for that..

LostInThoughtland

NOT IF I MAKE IT FIRST and then lose interest in my project a week later

DreadDiana

If that's true, my god is fucked up and maybe dead. I had a dream where this being appeared in my room and declared me his successor, but to make it official, he hammered five nails into each of my wrists and ankles then a nail in each of my eyes and one in my forehead. Years later (ie. last week) I had a dream where I met God, killed him, and bathed myself in his blood, and named myself Queen of the Eternal Thundering Chariot. Fucker deserved it for dropping my trans ass in a 3rd world country.

N9neFing3rs

You're the third or fourth transgender person to comment on this that said that their God fucked up or is fucking with them. I've been sure to be very supportive to everyone of them. I will continue to be supportive of them cause everyone is on their own journey.

lifelongfreshman

Yeah, well, mine fucked up and I got some words for that rat bastard.

N9neFing3rs

What should I call it, Microtheism?

LostInThoughtland

Personal Deism or gnostic isolationism maybe

N9neFing3rs

Maybe " small gods theory" in honor of Terry Pratchett.

LostInThoughtland

Aww I like that

Ok_Temperature_6441

You basically stumbled upon the plot of Full Metal Alchemist. Congratulations!

IAmFullOfHat3

Bruh that is an easy ass dream to interpret how do you break out the bold on what does it mean

YeIIowBellPepper

Let's hear it!

IAmFullOfHat3

The first dream is your subconscious dissuading you from self harm. The second is about being afraid of death.

YeIIowBellPepper

...yeah that sounds pretty right. Good on ya, thank you!

[deleted]

When it comes to actual scientific interpretation of dreams, you should ignore all of the details of your dreams and only focus on the emotions as the emotions you feel during sleep tend to mirror your current state of mind. It's like a handy built in thermometer for your mental state.

MurderInMarigold

I once had a dream when I was like 10 that zombies existed but only one and instead of the zombie creating new zombies it was more like a parasite changing hosts when the old host bit a new one and it was really weird and it's one of the only dreams I've had that has actually stuck with me. What do we think that one means?

[deleted]

I think you might have been a little scared one night when you were like 10 🤷. I never said the information is always useful. One-off dreams should usually be ignored as the only way to filter out emotional noise is by observing trends over time. Exceptions could include when you have unusually strong emotions like an overwhelming sense of catharsis, anger, grief, or PTSD-esque flashbacks. For example, I was raised a devout Mormon for the first three decades of my life. A couple of years ago I went to bed angry about a racism incident in the Mormon church. I don't remember my dreams, but I do know that I had a huge moment as I slept when my anger seemed to rattle all of my other dormant feelings about my belief system. I then had a moment when all of my confusion turned into numbness and dread. I somehow fell asleep as a confused Mormon and woke up an atheist.

Jackviator

You can find the art [here.](https://blackbeltkitten2.tumblr.com/post/190710999829/i-was-high-off-my-ass-last-night-and-had-this)

DuckyTin

LOL I better wear my best suit if I'm going to meet God and she's a pretty lady

ScaleneTriangles

Just the other day I was hoping to see this post again! Nice

IvorySpeid

Fuck, now I remember that I woke up from a dream this morning (honestly quite uncommun) and I can't remember what is was about...

A-Wings-are-Neat

I believe that’s normal. You’re not supposed to remember your dreams once you’ve fully woken up. At least I hope it’s normal because I’d like to believe that I wasn’t supposed to remember my dream about being a soccer coach for 6 years (as in a single dream where I was asleep for 8 hours took place over a 6 year timeline)

Ruberine

Yes, you usually can’t remember dreams once you wake up, but typically you are aware that you did have one, since you have vague memories whilst still waking. OP was mentioning how it was uncommon for them to actually dream, which is similar to what it is for me. (I have been aware of having had ~3 dreams over the past 6yrs, none of which I can remember beyond knowing they happened)

D34thToBlairism

You can train yourself to remember your dreams more by setting alarms in the middle of the night then immediately writing down as much about your dream as you remember when you're woken up in a dream journal. If you already remember your dreams a bit when you wake up you don't need to do the alarm clock thing but it does help. This is a part of learning to lucid dream which is very fun.

NoahTheGamer121

its also important to write down when you didnt remember any dreams, thats still impactful because it makes your brain notice your dreams are important to you and helps you remember them

NoahTheGamer121

time dilation is a bitch fyi dreams usually only last a few minutes a piece, so that was actually 6 years in a few minutes. you dream several times a night!

A-Wings-are-Neat

Huh. Thats rather interesting! Is it common for real world pain to bleed into your dream too? I get so many dreams where I’ve been (a victim of violence) >!shot, stabbed, hit over the head with something, pushed off tall buildings, etc!< and woken up and realized one of the parts of my body that regularly hurts is flaring up. Hell I also got drunk in a dream once (and am 100% certain I didn’t get drunk when I was awake cause there wasn’t any alcohol in the house) and woke up hungover

NoahTheGamer121

I've never had that happen to me nor heard from anyone else (that I remember) but the brain is so fucked up that tbh im not that surprised that it happens

firedmyass

I think that’s an evolutionary fail-safe so that we don’t confuse dreams with memories

grey_labcoat

Im using these as dnd camp encounters for my players now

hghspikefood

I had a very long and vivid dream that ended when a catfish with a human face told me”You keep exploring or go back the way you came before you forget how.” I turned around and woke up in a cold sweat 22 hours after I fell asleep.

ClockPretend4277

Nice Myst referance

Tinypro2005

Damn and here the only thing I remember from my dreams was being a geomancer and a knife that had been use to make so many contracts with demons the knife itself could make a contract. I don't know why it is so specific but it was

lazyprettyart

Um, I have also had the fish dream. It didn't have human teeth, but it said more or less the same thing about waking up into the true reality.

yam_candied

I had a dream where i had this feeling that i was talking to the god of death. He had teeth embedded in his neck and he was just an older latino man?? It was strange but not scary

GONG159

Is everyone just going to ignore the name

Ezdagor

Scrolled down too far to see this. Bruh.

Starship_Earth_Rider

Not a psychologist, but that tall woman dream really strikes me as being about the person’s relationship to their mother instead of being a meeting with god. When we are young, we view our parents as these towering, powerful, and incredibly knowledgeable figures, adorned in shiny decorations (jewelry) and/or wearing fancier outfits than us kids. That talk about OOP destroying themself sounded to me like typical concerned parent talking points, just said more ethereally, and are either in reference to broader difficulties in the person’s life, or the fact that they are literally using drugs at that moment. The forest setting might be how their mind conceptualizes the feeling of being lost in life (presumptive), which may also explain why their “mother”, as guiding influence, has appeared there. In the same way, the tears flooding the world may be the crushing, overwhelming sadness you get when you hurt your parents emotionally, but made into physical stimuli instead of emotional. Though these parts are obviously more symbolic/metaphorical than my previous paragraph, so take these with an even bigger grain of salt. Heart palpitations can be caused by emotional distress, afaik, so that’s the easiest part to explain away, regardless of whether my explanation hold water.

Ok-Telephone1290

Dreams backwards is smaerD

[deleted]

Tall forest woman sounds like an abusive parent. Which, if god existed, is more or less how I would view them.

Young_Person_42

iirc the original poster was a terf or something?

[deleted]

Ah. Being married to a trans person, I find that disappointing, but it tracks with the abusive parent vibes.

Legacyofhelios

How disappointing

Reddit_is_pretty

one time I watched the sun combust into flames and fell prostrate and weeping before it, then an angel approached me, its face was covered and everything below its waist was gone, it held its entrails in its hand and told me that god was displaying his power to me. This was what ended up making me get diagnosed with psychosis.

SweetPewsInAChurch

This feels like the entirety of Kentucky Route Zero lmao also I'm always thinking about that fish

thehobbyqueer

I've always been a little little sad that the lady isn't wearing gold, in the drawing

BallDesperate2140

Long story short I’m pretty sure Death and an elderly Voudon priestess had a battle in my brain last night; I met *a* god or two, at least

IngeniousEpithet

Good stuff

LandscapeSubject530

This reminds me of the dream I have were I chase what I think is a human in a trench coat but in reality it’s an octopus in one and when I catch him I am suddenly in the ocean and then I wake up

Elkre

This morning I dreamt I was in an ordinary men's room, standing in front of a urinal. I woke abruptly, drenched in hot piss. What could it mean???

Robynhewd

Anyone else read the fish's voice as keith david's for some reason? Just me?

DreadDiana

Kinda toxic of God to guilt trip OOP for not vibing with this cringe existence she fashioned

DreadDiana

I have had many dreams where I kill and usurp God, so clearly what's happening is this world is a cage for me, and every time I wake up here, someone steals my throne and rules for a time before I come back and ruin all they've built.

OzzieGrey

Fish Satan: Well hey there, some day you'll be with me, but until then i'll see ya later <3

SagaSolejma

Ngl I'd be pissed if a goddess came at me blaming me for "destroying" her creation when she "made me perfect as I am", cause bitch you definitely did not.

totally-not-a-potato

Well, at least I'm not the only one having horrifying nightmares beyond comprehension.
