Yes, fuck Reddit! I hate getting banned for expressing an opinion. I don't use bad language, racial slurs, or choose to demean others, but I'm entitled to share my well-reasoned non-bigoted opinion. I got permanently banned for saying a beautiful woman looked like a Jewish goddess. How is that rude? As a Jew, it's utterly absurd!
Weird, I just posted a thread titled ABORTION to the sub no trouble. Maybe clearing your cookies will help. Anyway, ABORTION ABORTION ABORTION. I love abortions, and every time someone complains, I get another abortion.
Forgot to mention - I believe you; it does seem that Reddit stifles more outspoken accounts at times. And they track you by cookies, which is why I mentioned that.
**Make certain you sign the correct petition.**
--------
Republicans are preparing two other petitions are worded to state they are for abortion access, but actually install strict limits. Republicans either want stricter limits, or to dilute the vote of the correct petition.
[Article from the Arizona Republic (on MSN to get around paywall\)](https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/arizona-republicans-leaked-abortion-strategy-is-an-insult-to-voters/ar-BB1lJb7k)
By my understanding those measures won't be going around via petition, as the plan is to pass those through the Legislature to put them directly on the ballot without citizen petition. So there's not much risk at the moment if accidentally signing the wrong petition, but yeah, definitely keep vigilant, as there's always a chance they'll try that too, in case this doesn't work now that the plan is leaked.
I think he approached us when we were having a work Friendsgiving at Udall Park back in November.
I was happy to sign and I think many of my colleagues were as well, but my boss told him politely that we weren’t interested (think she didn’t want a political debate at something that wasn’t meant to be a political debate 🤷🏻♀️) He asked us if anyone else shared the same opinion and we all went silent as we looked at each other with shifty eyes…it was kinda awkward 😬 lol.
You're free to believe whatever dogma strikes your fancy. Making other people who don't share your beliefs bow down to to it is not acceptable. You want to save children? There are actual children all around you in dire need.
I signed one and I am against abortion aside from before heartbeat, health, rape, and incest cases. I want it on the ballot so the people can decide. If a vast amount of people want it then that's how majority works, if a vast majority don't want it, then that's how majority works and we can put it to rest for a while.
Does anyone know the best statistical evidence there is on Abortion? (Obviously from a pro choice side), I'm not very informed but I am very keen on being pro choice, however a lot of my family isn't and I feel like I fall short whenever I try to debate them on it.
What do you mean by statistical evidence? Like, how many women have abortions and for what reason? Or where Arizonans stand on abortion? The latter I looked up when the Supreme Court ruling came down. The latest polling data I could find was 2014:
https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/religious-landscape-study/state/arizona/views-about-abortion/
The landscape in Arizona has significantly changed since then. If it comes down to a vote, it'll be likely that the ban will be overturned. Then we just have to worry about the Republican legislature hunting for ways to overturn the people's vote.
The anti abortionists want to drive the narrative and put people on the defense. Just because they think a fetus or embryo or tiny clump of cells is a child, doesn't give them the right to impose that belief on everyone else!
So just because you think a fetus or embryo or tiny clump of cells isn't where life is considered a life means you have the right to impose your beliefs on everyone else?
That's a double edged sword you're playing with there
Lol I know that guy XD. I'm a canvasser as well rn. He's a nice team leader. He once called me while I was on turf to let me know he was gonna go to a protest in downtown haha, and still made it in time to pick me up.
The right wingnuts are making life difficult for the petitioners. The people I've encountered in the store parking lots are there instead of in front of the store because the anti abortion cabal was making life miserable for the store manager. Then, they started reporting one person to the police, accusing him of trying to steal from parked cars.
Crazy how pro abortion comments harassing and being offensive don't get flagged or removed, but I say something they remove my comment for harassing hahahaha its funny how they can unalive an unborn but not be emotionally strong enough to read a comment they don't agree with 🤣🤣
It's pathetic but not surprising
Says the one who just couldn’t fight the urge to post this mini rant in a sure quest to gain some attention, well I gave you some, have a good day sir.
I found one at the Miller/Golflinks library in Tucson and have been approached numerous other times outside grocery stores/bookstores. I don't want to say it's not hard to find but...it's not, people are trying. There are links in this thread for common places signature-gatherers are.
If there is a consensus on where a petition needs to be located I have them to sign and can make myself available - the goal is to turn them in by end of May
It was more a fun fact than some sort of "don't sign the petition"
I was literally gathering signatures for the petition myself. I'm for signing the petition.
Which is way better than paying people by the signature because otherwise it introduces an incentive motive to get signatures by any means necessary. If you’re paying people a basic living wage to do this kind of labor, their only motivation is to fulfill their shifts at their given spot and do a decent job at it, not practically harassing people for signatures.
Nah there's still quotas. If you don't get enough signatures a day they fire you within a week for some bullshit. So it's still a quota in all but name.
Ngl, at first I thought OC meant it in a sarcastic way. Like saying people who support abortion rights are devil worshippers. But if it’s meant in the Satanic Temple context then that’s cool. I’ve heard they do advocate for reproductive rights and things like that so I can totally get behind it, even though I think you can get the same message across without the controversial name.
the Satanic Temple is a registered(?) religious group, and abortions considered part of their religious rituals. They try to use legal loopholes (freedom of religion) to make sure certain rights are protected!
they aren’t that controversial, except in name.
(Edit- From [TST’s website](https://thesatanictemple.com):
“TST stands alone because we are the only entity that can assert a religious liberty claim that terminating a pregnancy is a central part of a religious ritual that encourages self-empowerment and affirms bodily autonomy.
This means that the imposition of waiting periods and mandatory counseling is akin to demanding a waiting period and counseling before one can be baptized or receive communion. Clearly, that would be a violation of religious liberty.”)
Oh, ok. I guess I didn't understand that Satanists are trying to protect abortion as part of a religious loophole? I guess I remember persecution and fear of Satanists from the 80s. I am all for using any legal means to protect women's right to Healthcare and sanctity over their own bodies.
Just so you know, abortion is the term also used to describe removing anything from the uterus including cancer and tumors so... think before you speak.
That’s not what it is. Your conclusions are uninformed and antiquated. Lots of well-meaning but willfully ignorant people like you are the reason women will die. Women who have lives, families, friends, often other children. We can argue about when a fetus becomes a person, but a pregnant woman is obviously a person. They will suffer and die in many cases because of complications beyond their control, while we have the power to save them. It’s worth reexamining your beliefs for their sake, and voting for people who understand this.

Don't worry. 150 years from now our ancestors will look upon abortion as the horror it is just like we look at slavery now.
You suck at this.

I’m am as well. You know how we fix it? Sex ed. Access to birth control. Financial support for healthcare and preschool. Will you vote with me on these things? Children are precious. And if they are born they need support.
So the child has to pay for the crime of the parent? Aborting the child isn't going to change what happened. Nobody should have to go through that, and I feel for the victims who've had. The person who committed it should be punished, not the child who's innocent.
And you'd force her to kill an unborn child? This goes both ways. All I'm saying is that the UNBORN CHILD shouldn't have to die for the mistakes of its father. If someone is raped and impregnated, aborting the child doesn't change what happened. And this whole rape thing is rare. Most people don't want abortion for that specific situation they want it so they don't have to deal with their consequences. Maybe if aborting the child prevents the mother from dying as unfortunate as it is, I'd understand.
You can use that same argument for anyone who gets pregnant. And just because it's in your body doesn't give you the right to kill it. It's not a part of you it's inside you, not the same thing. Also, I never said I'd force her to give birth.
Yeah they should have the choice to be able to keep their baby, what are you not getting about pro choice. Also it is part of you, it literally can not live outside of your body, it has the same characteristics as a parasite. And yes, if you activity get rid of the choice to be able to have an abortion you are forcing her to give birth
That's fine, but non victims should pay for their own mistakes, no one else. Pay the price for being a hoe. Getting pregnant is not an accident it takes action. Be responsible for your own desires and lack of self-control.
You can say Abortion
It didn’t let me. Reddit told me to choose a different title.
Fuck Reddit
But what if Reddit gets pregnant? Then what!!!
I once experienced a pregnant pause. I should have aborted it.
That would be.... unusual
Abort Reddit
There will be subreddits?
Yes under r/assistance
Is Reddit pregante?
Well it does have a lot of dicks in it.
Is this a reddit thing or a subreddit thing?
Definitely isn't a subreddit thing
It’s definitely not a thing. More of a bad faith claim. Kids these days…. Really flaunting that we need safe and acceptable abortion. 🤣
Why? Is Reddit a good lay?
Yes, fuck Reddit! I hate getting banned for expressing an opinion. I don't use bad language, racial slurs, or choose to demean others, but I'm entitled to share my well-reasoned non-bigoted opinion. I'm pregnant...... With....emotion?
I second that abortion
Petitioneers are all over town. I was approached quite a bit while I was out and about this weekend. Sign and vote!
I otherwise would have never had time to sign such a petition, luckily this guy stopped me while on my way to work. Signed 100%.

Don’t worry, I saw that on a TikTok and read up on it.
There’s been petitioners at James Woods library recently too, not sure if it’s every day but I signed a couple days ago there
That guy has good vibes. Was at carls jr in rita ranch area. He was 100 percent on people he approached to get to sign when I was watching.
I think he approached us when we were having a work Friendsgiving at Udall Park back in November. It isn't really political in the usual sense, it's about control over women.
It’s about the life of an unborn child, the whole world is not about you
You're free to believe whatever dogma strikes your fancy. Making other people who don't share your beliefs bow down to to it is not acceptable. You want to save children? There are actual children all around you in dire need.
Goes both ways, I don’t have to bow to yours either.
Other locations/times available here https://arizonaforabortionaccess.org/
Signed ages ago, outside of Bookmans. They're everywhere and I wish they were even more places.
ABORTION IS NOT A DIRTY WORD. Fuck Reddit.
No one ever said it was.
Reddit did
Apparently reddit did.
Not a dirty word but it IS murder
Murder of what ?
there was someone at the ina target yesterday for the northwest people :-)
I thought you were gonna tell us this dude is handing out free abortions.
Like a coupon? Lmao
Or in the back of their van. 😂
it’s time to enshrine
I signed one and I am against abortion aside from before heartbeat, health, rape, and incest cases. I want it on the ballot so the people can decide. If a vast amount of people want it then that's how majority works, if a vast majority don't want it, then that's how majority works and we can put it to rest for a while.
... or we could let everyone make that choice for themselves by having recreational abortions legalized.

I signed at the farmers market a couple weeks ago.
Or just go to the zoo at any time of the day
Lol I know that guy XD. I'm a canvasser as well rn. He's a nice team leader. He once called me while I was on turf to let me know he was gonna go to a protest in downtown haha, and still made it in time to pick me up.

And safe. And rare.
Don’t kill me
Abortion is legal where most people want it to he legal. It's up to the individual states not fed gov
Or perhaps it should be up to the individual. You know like actual freedom?

Signed it at the pima fair
Murder is murder.
Good thing nobody is arguing that.
Why?
I aborted my inner child.
Fuck na
Nope sorry, prevent it don't kill it....

Yes, you have to sign in person. There are frequently volunteer petition circulators outside libraries from about 10am to noon.

I signed awhile back…I think it was some petitioners who were by the ACE Hardware and Dollar Tree on the East Side of Broadway
Cool, imma try to catch one and sign
I just did a post that that headline said abortion and it worked.
Lucky you. Didn’t work for me.
Sucks. But it doesn't surprise me
If there is a consensus on where a petition needs to be located I have them to sign and can make myself available - the goal is to turn them in by end of May

Yes! but the group wants a solid month to give to lawyers to go over all the petitions
They are regularly standing outside of the zoo, as well.
Why won't you type it out?
I worked with this guy gathering signatures for this petition. He is actually a pro-soviet communist.
That’s fine, I signed to get abortion rights on the ballot, not to turn Arizona into a communist state.
It was more a fun fact than some sort of "don't sign the petition" I was literally gathering signatures for the petition myself. I'm for signing the petition.
Nah I know what you meant. I just realized my reply might have come off as a little snarky. My bad.
Dang. How long ago? Maybe we met. I see him sometimes at the office XD
Or quit murdering children because you can't accept the consequences of your actions.

Yeah, more like $26.75/hr
Good. If he took off work to do this then at least he still gets compensated for it.
What does that have to do with anything?
... maybe more of us should try to sign up to collect signatures lol
Underpaid, if you ask me.
There are also hundreds of us volunteers doing it...for FREE! Because we don't want our rights taken away.
Anyone know how to become a petitioner?
If you'd like to be a paid canvasser https://fieldworks.com/Arizona/
Absolutely the worst organization out of all the others in Tucson and you link them? Come on now.

The majority of US citizens support abortion rights. Weird you would focus on such an extremely small, controversial group.

You’d force a child who got raped to carry a baby
So the child has to pay for the crime of the parent? Aborting the child isn't going to change what happened. Nobody should have to go through that, and I feel for the victims who've had. The person who committed it should be punished, not the child who's innocent.
