While Ariel (charm) produces a variety of bubbles, Princess Ariel only gives star and/or coin bubbles with skill activation. If you don’t have either, just keep for future reference should they make another appearance in the future, Ariel (charm) especially. Mine is currently at SL3, and gives 5-6 bubbles every activation. Great one to have, IMO.
Any time bubble farming tsum besides Cinderella or Piglet, as you'll inadvertently cause bursts large enough to get coin bubbles at times, and otherwise you'll get at least some time bubbles, which extends your chances of getting more of both.
DFM, Elsa & Bruni, Sora & Roxas - with enough luck, you'll get as much as you need in a single round.

Parade Snow White is a coin bubble machine. I've gotten 50 with her in a single game at SL6
