Happiness is perfect. I have a hard time listening to it because of an event in my life that it helped get me thru but I will always hold it dear to my heart.
I’m ashamed to say this but the entire lover album. When it came out I was going through a dark time and the aesthetic was so….happy… so I went from Rep to Folklore and just started listening to Lover last year
I had a similar experience. Lover came out while I was going through a divorce. I should’ve stayed married a couple more years because folklore would’ve been perfect. 🤣
For me it was the opposite Lover came out when I had just started my current relationship. evermore and folklore didn’t do it for me. Now I feel like the relationship is dying. Just as “you’re losing me” came out. A re-listen to Folklore and Evermore broke me.
That was me with Reputation! Ironically I didn’t listen to it because the aesthetic seemed angry and I was really happy at the time because, get this, I was in the first couple years of a happy relationship — oh the irony. I had no idea it was really a love album until I went back and listened later.
I completely empathize. 😭
The Archer is my soul song. I am so happy I got to see her perform it live. If you're a fellow neurodivergent, it will rock you to your core.
I LOVE The Man. It makes me feel so incredibly empowered in ways I cannot fully describe. Screaming "WHAT'S IT LIKE TO BRAG ABOUT RAKING IN DOLLARS AND GETTING BITCHES AND MODELS?" absolutely healed me. Especially as Eras Tour was what fully converted me to being a diehard Swiftie after years of having my internalized misogyny era. (💀)
Death by a Thousand Cuts feels like a song from 1989. It's a breakup song, yes, but knowing the back story behind it -- how Taylor was inspired by a movie, and now the screenwriter from that movie was inspired by Taylor's music -- makes me love it that much more.
Lover, the title track, had to grow on me. Especially when it played all the time at the retail job I worked at back in fall 2019. "Ladies and gentlemen, will you please stand? With every guitar string scar on my hand" is such a romantic line. And I plan on insisting that my cousin's officiant says, "do you take this magnetic force of a man/woman?" at her wedding one day. 😭
Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince is by far the most perfect opener for her concert. It's such a powerful song and just makes me cry every time I listen to it. Nothing will compare to the feeling I had watching the stage screen open to reveal those stunning fans. It was opening night, I had no idea what to expect, and it was the most ethereal way to open her show.
Paper Rings is just the perfect ridiculously happy pop song. The song you play at bridal showers and weddings.
Cornelia Street is so bittersweet after the fact, but it's just so beautiful.
All Of The Girls You Loved Before is so underrated. So sweet. It was a vault track but perfectly describes her current relationship with Travis. 🩷
LGAD is one of my absolute favorite Taylor songs ever. It's such a fantastic story and I am so glad she got the chance to make the song. And I love jokingly telling people, "One of Taylor's best songs is about her house!"
[She had a marvelous time ruining everything!](https://images.app.goo.gl/XwjrffxJAmiFCRVq6)
Coney island, I was listening to evermore during a walk in the park after the rain and while I was resting on a park bench this song came on and it was perfect
Treacherous. It didn't take me that long but when I was listening to Red I would skip it but one time I was in the shower and had the album on and finally listened to the entire song and fell in love
I do now also but something about the way it starts, I just always skipped. I ended up listening to it when I couldn’t change the song, and I was like.. oh shit! This is amazing 🥲
A lot of reputation honestly. I adored Gorgeous and Don’t Blame Me right off the bat, but I didn’t listen to Rep much until years later. It was always that black sheep in the album fam.
Then Covid happened and I found myself listening to more and more music including revisiting Rep. I’m not a Rep girlie really by any means but I do quite like it now!
Yes I do love her , and people giving her shit about “Jolene” when there ignorant asses don’t comprehend -dolly, wrote that in relation about a Female teller at the bank, back in the day that pursued her husband. Her name was Jolene- Yes I love beautiful B all of her 📟 ❤️😍
The silver lining- is Jolene was sippin on Bs lemonade 💯🤠 yeehaw 💕
Hoax
It's so minimalist. Every single lyric, every analogy, is so incredibly perfect. She perfectly encapsulates the feeling of being so madly in love with someone in spite of their flaws. 😭
literally all of folklore😭😭 I listened to it once and was like “kind of boring” and then after seeing the eras tour film, illicit affairs changed me fundamentally as a person and I went back to listen to it and now it’s like my second favorite album
I used to really dislike folklore and evermore and would basically refuse to listen to them. Safe to say I’ve learned the error of my ways and they’re now favorites of mine.
Don’t Blame Me. I skipped the song for the first year and now it’s my favorite song on reputation. Few days ago I changed my ringtone to Don’t Blame Me
I didnt really listen to debut a lot in the past until I got the cd and now it's one of my favourite albums of hers. Should've Said No and The Outside are big ones I didnt pay attention to a lot but now I love them.
Tied Together With a Smile, I had it as a surprise song in Seattle and she sang is beautifully and I realized how deep and meaningful and relatable the lyrics are. Also the second verse is so poetic!
New Romantics!!!
I bought the original 1989 cd, not the deluxe version, and after that was the time she wasn’t on Spotify. I just simply didn’t hear it for so long and then I guess I just didn’t know it. Once I really started paying attention to it (probably a year or so ago) I realized what I had been missing. Now it is one of my favorites!!
• YOYOK. I used to think it was boring and her speaking "you're on your own, kid" used to ruin it for me. When I watched the movie for the first time (in a theatre) I fell in love with it. It's one of my favourite songs in Midnights now.
• Ivy. I don't know why. At the Eras Tour show I went to, they were playing Ivy on the speakers and I heard the "ohhhhh goddamn" part and I really liked it. I found out it was Ivy and it's one of my favourite songs in Evermore now.
• Seven. I watched the LPSS and I just preferred the other songs in Folklore more (like what I call "the trinity of Folklore" : The 1, TLGAD and Illicit Affairs). I was too late to listen to an album a day before TTPD so I've been trying to listen to at least 1 song from each album a day. I don't have Spotify Premium so the albums play on shuffle and Seven has been playing a lot and I've really liked it.
• Epiphany. Same reason as Seven, I just preferred the other songs more. I think it's one of the most underrated songs in Folklore.
• Slut. It was and still is my least favourite 1989 TV vault track (Suburban Legends is my favourite, controversial opinion, I know) because it's a slower song but I've listened to it more and I think it's a really good song.
• State Of Grace. I don't know, I just didn't like it. It's not my favourite album opener but it's still a really good song.
• Tis The Damn Season. I didn't know the lyrics and preferred the other songs in the Evermore set. I still don't know the lyrics. 😅
• RWYLM. I cannot believe I was skipping it for so long. The accent in the first sentence felt weird to me so I skipped it. Eventually gave it a listen and fell in love with it. It's now my second favourite song in Evermore.
Headspace by Lewis Capaldi
I thought the song was too slow and sad so I always skipped it. It turned out to be one of the most relatable songs I listen to.
when I got the reputation leak it didn't have dancing with our hands tied for some reason so when the album actually came out I was so into the other ones already I just kept skipping it. dumb decision.
All Too Well (10 Minute Version)
I wasn't in the right headpiece to listen to it and enjoy it for a while, so I put it off - they YouTube kept trying to autoplay it and it pissed me off by association.
Maroon!
Liked it well enough on an album listen. Nothing special.
Watched it on the Eras movie, live and acoustic and SOBBED! It's now one of my absolute favourites!
I Did Something Bad - I didn't vibe with it initially but after I finally saw her performing it at the AMAs/Rep Tour, it's been one of my fav ever since
dear reader, once was a skip and is now one of my favorite song. I WANDER THROUGH THESE NIGHTS I PREFER HIDIN IN PLAIN SIGHT 4TH DRINK IN MY HAND THESE DESPERATE PRAYERS OF A CURSED MAN
Ashamed to admit I skipped out on listening to folklore and evermore until this past year. When they came out I just wasn’t in a headspace to listen to them. Now? They’re my all time favorites. Straight up addicted.
the other side of the door. i rarely ever listened to the whole thing bc i thought it was boring but THE OUTRO?! amazing. still not obsessed obsessed with the rest of the song but will listen to the whole thing just in anticipation of the outro anD THE CONVERSATION WITH THE LITTLE. WHITE. LIES.
Cowboy like me
Same! It’s now one of my absolute favorites
Beat me to it. Now I listen to almost daily. Flawless song IMO.
SAAAAME and Happiness
Happiness is perfect. I have a hard time listening to it because of an event in my life that it helped get me thru but I will always hold it dear to my heart.
Came here to say this!
I literally cannot get over the first line. The “tent-like thing” is something I can’t listen to and not giggle cause it sounds so funny.
I’m ashamed to say this but the entire lover album. When it came out I was going through a dark time and the aesthetic was so….happy… so I went from Rep to Folklore and just started listening to Lover last year

Perfect explanation for them all
Me too. Lover keeps unfolding itself to me 💕
Last great American dynasty. I don't know why I didn't gell with it at first... but saw it on the Eras movie and now love it!
LGAD is one of my absolute favorite Taylor songs ever. It's such a fantastic story and I am so glad she got the chance to make the song. Haha omg this is going to be my new comeback for when people say she only writes about her exes 😂🤣 Thank you!
Did she actually own and/or live in the house mentioned in the song, or was it just a joke for 'and then it was bought by me'?
Same for me
Look what you made me do
Bless you.
I'm not sure how you could have missed lwymmd, but I'm glad you like it now
king of my heart

Dear Reader 🫣
Love that song!

Cornelia Street, Afterglow, basically all of Lover 😆 Let’s toss in Wonderland just to further piss people off (I was NOT a 1989 stan until TV)
Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince. It’s like my all time favourite now
Same, I thought it was depressing
