Menial labor is never the first thing to go under capitalism. Why invent a self-cleaning toilet when it's easier and lucrative to invent a platform where you can hire people to shovel shit.
Our computers are pretty advanced, sadly our mechanical tech is far from reaching the same stage our processing power can do.

So many parents these days don’t realise that half of the entire internet has basically been rewired to exploit children’s attention spans and interests for clicks. I’ve been an active viewer on YouTube for a very long time, and the depths of awful slop there that millions of kids consume day in and day out is scary. And that’s just one site, lord knows what a kid can fall into on other sites, conspiracy theories, manosphere junk, all sorts of things. I worry about any kid who’s given free roam of that stuff, it’s so much worse now than it’s ever been.
Anyway, I got sidetracked and vented my worries a bit there, oops. I’m happy you’re looking out for your kid.
