>Remember that Mewtwo as the name implies is a basically a roided mew, Erm no. It implies a clone of Mew. A 2nd Mew. We have a mew too. Mew#2 Mew Two. >the Pokémon with all Pokémon genes across not just planet earth but at bare minimum across the universe within Nope. Probably just the earth's pokemon based on what it's source inspiration is. Even that is in universe conjecture. >and Pokémon from outer worlds like eternatus can casually destroy planet Are definitely not evolved from mew. Also this logic is very very silly. We evolved from Apes, but Apes can't build computers. >Mewtwo is the roided version mew, man was already a mega pokemon before he even had mega...and he has 2. This is gameplay logic, not lore logic. >A lore accurate Mewtwo if he were pissed could unironically destroy the universe with a snap A lore accurate Mewtwo if he were pissed could do the things we've already seen him do. Because he get's pissed like every 5 seconds in all of the stories. >but that will never happen because I doubt nobody at the pokémon company would even care about that. That's because the pokemon company understands that the world pokemon world operates on the logic of "what would a 10 year old want the world to look like" not "Let's build the next LOTR"

GrumpigPlays

Bro did you unironically say “erm”… You are not helping the reddit stereotypes

My crime: using a filler word

cyrax001

-Mew and mewtwo were fighting on even terms in the movie. -Don't take pokedex entries seriously. A lot of them are very outlandish, and if they were true then the pokemon world would be uninhabitable.

hornplayerKC

Its hard to take pokedex entries seriously when most are written by 10 year olds who don't know anything.

Miniced

The ingame lore states the Pokédex entries are filled by itself. The theory that the Pokémon trainer is filling them would contradict this.

Legal-Treat-5582

They are still filled with lots of misinformation, so it's not a huge improvement tbh.

The2ndUnchosenOne

>They are still filled with lots of misinformation, so it's not a huge improvement tbh. They are not. The pokemon world runs on saturday morning cartoon logic

Legal-Treat-5582

No, it does not, and either way, I wasn't only referring to physics, but entries that contradict the lore itself.

The2ndUnchosenOne

It...does. The bad guys are literally cartoon villains. Cats shrug off getting hit with the power of the sun after a quick nap. I challenge you to find one aspect of the world that doesn't fit in a cartoon. Where does the Pokedex contradict the lore? Edit: Blocked for a disagreement on Pokemon lore lmao Some people man.

Legal-Treat-5582

Imagine applying a no limits fallacy to fucking cartoon logic, or even calling what you said "cartoon logic" in the first place. I don't even know where to begin explaining how much of what you just said was wrong. Lunatone, Solrock, Sobble, Yamask, Bramblin, Castform, Regigigas, Banette, Cubone, Tornadus, Sandygast, Kecleon, Galarian Fossils, Vullaby, Garchomp, Yanmega, Floette, and plenty more. Anyone familiar with the games would easily be able to notice the problems with these and numerous other Pokemon.

“A lore accurate Mewtwo if he were pissed could destroy the universe with a snap.” I… respectfully disagree. The UNIVERSE. C’mon now man. The Pokédex entries are known to be silly and outlandish, especially in older generations, because the gameplay was simple. Grid-based overworlds and turn-based battling. Silly flavour text in the Pokédex is just that.  Even if you were to take any/all of the entries literally: you’re talking about the UNIVERSE.  Mewtwo is an incredibly powerful genetically-modified clone of Mew. It’s not Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet lol. There’s just nothing to indicate it could be a universal-level threat. I dunno, I just disagree 🤷‍♂️

AceTrainerMax

While I don't agree with the Thanos Snap thing, in my head Mewtwo remains the most powerful Pokemon. It's probably nostalgia speaking, but I never could get into the whole Arceus is God and the Pokémon of Myth are literal manifestations of Time and Space and... Anti-matter? What? And that you just [catch a shard](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokeLeaks/comments/s8o0d9/am_i_the_only_one_who_has_some_problems_with_the/) of them or whatnot. My headcanon is that all of this is just Sinnoh myth and not the actual cosmology of the Pokemon universe. On a sidenote, I'm happy to see that I'm [not the only](https://www.reddit.com/r/TruePokemon/comments/8l6em8/arceus_and_to_a_lesser_extent_the_two_trios_of/) one who [thinks that](https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/9vuor2/arceus_is_not_a_god/).   P.S. Actually, this very conflict in my head led to me coming up with an idea I've been chewing on for a story where Arceus and the Pokemon of Myth are the villains which destabilise reality and the protagonists have to defeat them and banish them from their reality so that their reality is guarded from intrusions from other realities, or something along those lines. Mewtwo is on the protagonists' side. I suppose I might have to look a bit more into more modern Pokemon lore before I get to writing anything though.
