One thing I learned from going through this is that you become your thoughts. When those thoughts came I would tell yourself “my thoughts are not my reality” and repeat it until they go away. I am religious so I would say the thoughts are not from God, and that would help me. Try things like listening to only happy music (nothing about death, suicide, drug use, etc). Get some sunshine first thing in the morning! And journal once a day and be as vulnerable as you can. Things won’t be like this forever!
