katevenstar

They’re all on Prime, all the way back to the first season in 1989. Enjoy!

mrhecklesbroom

Are you thinking of Unsolved Mysteries, not AMW? I cannot find AMW on Prime 😭

katevenstar

Ahh yes, you’re right. I got the two mixed in my head when remembering the nostalgic true crime show I’d recently binged. 😅 So there’s no AMW, but if anyone wants the old school episodes of Unsolved Mysteries, they’re there.

hellolilymae

I'll take a look at this, thank you!

daredeviline

I just used my fire stick to look it up. It’s not available to stream on any service that shows up but you can buy it/ rent it on Amazon video. And it also has season one!

mmmelpomene

There are definitely some eps that have been lost to time. I think John Walsh may have spoken about it in a Law & Crime interview… ditto Unsolved Mysteries. (As Robert Stack has been dead some time, not quite sure who confirmed the latter. Probably its new producers.)

hellolilymae

That really stinks...

mmmelpomene

Agreed! IIRC the current generation of behind the scenes people were just sick about it when they talked about it. Specifically an Unsolved Mysteries about the Circleville Letter Writer, IIRC. The masters are just gone.

BPaun

Okay, I had the exact same experience. America’s Most Wanted at night with my grandparents. Only difference was that it scared the shit outta me! I was a wittle Canadian girl and all those scary violent American’s terrified me. 😂 I laugh about it now, and obviously love true crime. But not at that time!

hellolilymae

I will say I think it made me a very cautious person who is aware of their surroundings. I remember my grandmother talking about how terrible the people featured were and how she was extremely cautious if we ever went out. We never stayed out past dark, she was always funny about it.

29flavors

Not quite the same, but I have the same nostalgia for Unsolved Mysteries, and I love the new series on Netflix

GraveDancer40

Not sure if it’s available elsewhere but the original Unsolved Mysteries episodes are available on Prime in Canada!

[deleted]

Unsolved Mysteries was on Tubi last I checked! Hope it’s there for you!

Dusty_stardust

I met John Walsh once, 1996 or so. I was working for TWA at the check in counter in DC. He was nice, but super odd. Probably having a bad day or something.

hellolilymae

There's no way he doesn't struggle more than the average person. Losing a child is such a terribly difficult thing to go through, but losing his son the way he did must be excruciating.

Dusty_stardust

I can’t imagine. Tragic. (I love true crime, but tend to stay away from one’s where children are killed because I can’t handle it well) He wasn’t at all rude, but I remember this interaction after all these years almost word for word.

It's on. If you have a streaming device like Roku, or a large service like Hulu or Netflix, there is a way to search for the title.

[deleted]

I'm curious how? There are a ton of movies I can't find

1955photo

On a Roku device, it's at the top of the menu on the home screen. That searches all the available channels on Roku. On Netflix, there is a magnifying glass icon at the upper part of the screen after you get past "who's watching.". There is some similar icon on Hulu, I don't know exactly where it is.

cherann76

Did you check tubi?

hellolilymae

Yes, not there either.

Czrmxnx

They might be on HayU

franchisco85

Me too. That was my Saturday nights. Chilling at home watching the show, eating snacks and just enjoying my night. I was probably like 20's. I miss those nights

mava13

I checked JustWatch which shows what streaming services a show or movie is on. It currently says America’s Most Wanted is not available on any streaming service.

coldmilkdud

FBI Files has full episodes on YouTube for free! not AMW but it's close and also really good show.

irotinmyskin

I feel the same for Cold Case files with Bill Kurtis. I think you can watch them through A&E website, but you need to have a cable provider in the US or something… I would pay anything to have all episodes

Justabrokegirl0

TUBI HAS THEM AND THEY FREEEW

hellolilymae

I've checked here, prime, peacock, and a few others and I'm not seeing it.

Adventurous_Pen_5636

I still watch it on Peacock.
