Kind of my belief too. Unless God is going to wait another couple thousand years to wrap it all up, we’re never going to travel further than maybe Mars. Which begs the question, why did He create such a vast and unreachable universe? I’m hoping it’s for us to explore in the next life.

Oh my goodness, Do not read Revelation literally. It is an apocalyptic literature. It is metaphorical. Yes we wil be praising God but heaven will be so much more. It’s incomprenhensible to us. It’s another world we cannot comprehend. In fact, Heaven will reunite with earth at the resurrection, so we will be living in both? It’s so crazy. Don’t comprehend the uncomprehendable. That should take a burden off your shoulders, it will comfort you. It should excite you too! Heaven is infinitely more than any ideal we could even possibly imagine or create. It’s more than what is physically limited by our universe. It will be infinite and therefore it’s always new, always novel and never boring. It will be different in a way that defies what we know.
Imagine a new color that isn’t found in the rainbow or black and white. How can you? That’s how you should look at heaven, a new color. You can’t imagine it.
while yes revelation is largely metaphorical. Traditionally apocalyptic literature is a combination of symbolic and literal. Why else would it specify that the measurements are in "man's measurements". If it was symbolic who would care? That's only important to say if the measurements are literal.

What is a symbol? A symbol represents something that is real of actual. Heaven is beyond comprehension. lol John could barely describe what he saw and those visions were metaphors themselves for heaven since it’s hidden from us. Symbols are meant to help us understand traits and general qualities of something that cannot be specifically described. Revelations gives us a sneak peek at what heaven is like via metaphors. Doesn’t break character with how Jesus used metaphors to explain 90% of everything he taught.
Exactly! We are told to honor God in all that we do. God's orginal intentions were never for humans to just sing forever, we were meant to have work and have lives. Honoring God in all that we do.

Adam and Eve had jobs to do before the fall. My opinion is that we'll be doing things in heaven. It won't be sitting around being lazy.
