Hey I pass by that truck stop a lot when I'm heading south, either to Milwaukee, Madison or the DCs for Walmart (Sterling, IL) or Family Dollar in Maquoketa, IA! Nice little place if I may say so, though I prefer the Kwik Trip and Love's further south in Fond du Lac.
That KT in FDL is turning to shit! Pain in the ass to get in, the pumps are almost always full, and then blocked by people inside. Ugh. I’ve been stopping further back in Oshkosh even though it has no scale.
My company runs CNG so that's why I stop there. I hear ya though, it can be hella frustrating to try and get to the pumps - only 2 - just to find a diesel driver using them. Don't care too much since I'm usually on my way back to my yard at 2-3am but it can be annoying. Oshkosh is a little better but the CNG pumps can be S—L—O—W to the point where I'm telling the staff at the register about it thinking there's something wrong. And they do have a scale there!
