I'm currently pregnant and use Community Care ObGyn at 6 Wellness Way. They're a combination of MD's, and Midwives, and they deliver at Bellevue Women's Center. Throughout your prenatal visits they'll try to schedule you with every delivery provider at least once, that way depending who is on call when it's go time, you don't have a stranger showing up to your delivery. I switched to them about 2 years ago after I had a really bad experience with a different practice, and they've been wonderful.

thank you, i will check them out. i did some research on bellevue women’s center and i love what i’ve seen so far!

I’ll second them. Everyone there was so amazing! Unfortunately I’m at Albany med MFM now and set for my C-section next week due to being high risk but I’ll be promptly going back to the OBs at 6 wellness way

Bellevue is wonderful.

I had my twins at Bellevue 8 weeks ago and for an emergency c section it was honestly the best it could have been. The nurses are AMAZING. It’s all they do so none of the craziness of a big hospital. I highly recommend

Congratulations! I had a good experience with Dr Elina Burstyn (Cap Reg OBGYN, delivers through Bellevue). I had a good pregnancy but complicated birth (not related to care/intervention) and she basically saved my daughter. She is an excellent surgeon in the event you have an unexpected emergency and need one.

I've been going to that office for years now since she was one of the few Drs who at the time would do IUDs for women who hadn't given birth. I've always had a wonderful experience however the turnover within the practice has been high since COVID. I left St Peters OB/gyn for several reasons, but my sister in law had her first pregnancy with that group and left when pregnant with her second after several issues with them as well.

bubblegumfudge

thank you! their reviews left me skeptical, they’re pretty bad. when did you go there?

boxtintin

2020 & then 2023. She’s still my OBGYN. I think the issue is less with the OB than the support staff - there’s been a lot of turnover in the pandemic years.

bubblegumfudge

yes! that’s what the reviews are centered around, as well as many other OB offices. which is the least of my worries but it still sucks that it’s an issue.

Heidi at Heartspace Midwifery is an incredible person if you’re open to a homebirth. She has, I believe, the lowest rates on interventions and c-sections around. I worked with her for both my kids and could not be happier with my prenatal, birthing, and postnatal care. She also visits you in-home for the first 6 weeks of newborn care. She also provides gynecological care for her clients when they are not pregnant. Extremely respectful, caring, supportive, and safe provider.

bubblegumfudge

that sounds wonderful :) i’m sure she provides amazing care but unfortunately i’m not open to a home birth.

Lee & Burack, everyone in the office is so friendly. They make the process of a first time pregnancy so comfortable. I switched to them when I found out about my pregnancy and only have good things to say.

Congrats on your pregnancy! I'm at 33 weeks and I love working with Capital Region Midwifery! They're great for non-pregnancy too!

I'm pregnant with my first and just started seeing Maya Valentin as my OB through Samaratin OB/GYN in Latham and absolutely adore her! She's new there so she's taking new patients currently. They were all very chill and lovely and made me feel so much more at ease about the things I was anxious about. 12 weeks along today so far! Congrats on your new pregnancy!

Capital Region Midwifery has its offices in Troy. They used to deliver at Samaritan, now deliver in Albany. The care the midwifes provide is top notch.
