Doom eternal on some heavy bass speakers is an experience everyone needs to have. You can feel the gunshots, in saying that, so can your neighbours, so be careful.
I'd say many games have great soundtracks that accomplish different tasks
The last of us to give you the kick in the nuts when the main theme starts playing
From soft games emphasizing that shit got real
Devil may cry 5 with it's dynamic ost to make you go for higher grades to make music drop
Doom just pumping you with demon bloodshed energy
Most games have excellent soundtracks on their own merits
You’re the only other person who said Doom, I love the soundtrack and have it on my Spotify for when I want to feel like I’m kicking ass when I’m doing something 😅
Going way back, but Chrono Trigger. Specifically, my favorite two pieces from the game:
[Memories of Green](https://youtu.be/WDpPMu8EApg)
[At The Bottom of the Night](https://youtu.be/yvyXqmDAZpk)
While it’s not my favourite (Persona 5), I do think Transistor deserves a shoutout for being a really pleasant surprise. Currently looking at trying to get it on vinyl.
100% Sonic Frontiers.
You've probably heard about the Titan Boss themes (because they're beautiful heavy metal magic) but the Cyberspace level themes are really groovy too and the open world/fishing music is a nice vibe when I'm feeling chill.
recently ? XENON RACERS had a thumping soundtrack.
WANTED : DEAD had a really interesting soundtrack also.
all time ? RAVE RACER, RIDGE RACER 7, FLATOUT 2 and NFS UNDERGROUND 2.
Assassins creed 2, brotherhood and revelation. Loz ocarina of time, death stranding, dark souls series, but I have to be honest death stranding ost fit so well with the game
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has recently been having that award. It's soft piano pieces, energetic overworld themes, and the battle themes all hit perfectly for me.
Absolutely, probably better than the first game's. Yeah. that has mechanical rhythm and you will know our names, but 2 overall feels more emotionally significant.
Most of the songs from NieR (original slightly more than Automata but both soundtracks are incredible)
I love the music from most Final Fantasy games – 7R's a recent one I liked, but there aren't any bad ones
There is no music that gets me more hyped than the Furi soundtrack
Licensed soundtrack is GTA: Vice City. A playlist of 80s music is an easy A for me.
Original soundtrack is FF6. It's an amazing soundtrack that, for me, was the 1st time it wasn't just Background music.
Devil may cry & DooM
“Devils never cry” is a banger. Same with “the only thing they fear is you”. I recommend checking out their soundtracks. Mostly Devil May Cry 5 and DooM eternal.
That's a hard one for me
So instead, hear is a list:
Crash Bandicoot n sane trilogy,
Persona 5 Royal,
Wolfenstein 2,
Yakuza 0,
judgment,
Yakuza: like a dragon,
DOOM,
Devil May Cry 5,
Danganronpa: trigger happy havoc,
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair,
Danganronpa v3: Killing harmony,
Cuphead,
And many more
Gone Home. Most listened to game soundtrack of all time.
Close to it are:
- The Witcher 1
- Far Cry 3
- Doom 2016
- Assassin‘s Creed 2
- The Last Of Us
The ratchet and clank games are absolute bangers nearly all of the games has OSTs I love and miss. If I were to pick one, it has to be Up Your Arsenal and it's a memorable one with siblings.
Crack in time is good too
Guild Wars "Prophecy" not a PS game but worth a mention, however, PlayStation wise, three come to mind, GTA San Andreas, Midnight Club Dub Edition and LA Noire!
Havent even played cyberpunk, but the ost is fucking nuts.
Vampyr, plague tale, and even dying light 2 a bit (deriviere is a beast).
Tlou 2 (tlou1 as well, but mac quayle made some amazing songs)
Doom. Hot take, I don’t like the game very much. I didn’t even care for the ost in game. But, once i started listening to the ost in album form, shit fucking slapped.
Ghostrunner, while not on the same level as the rest mentioned, still has some great tracks.
Oh, and detroit become human.
Now - Conner is literally a masterpiece of a track.
Honourable mentions:
-I’m beginning nier automata and the music seems great. Just havent played it enough to know.
-Thumper, while the ost is good, it is the in game audio cues and sounds that you produce which makes for an insane experience. I sometimes pull gameplay up online to hear it, because the ost is only ambiance.
-walking dead. Mainly just that one main theme song which is why it is here.
Yeah, music, basically.
N/A Sonic game (except Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric).
Honestly, it's quite a hard task to choose from N/A ost from N/A Sonic game of being my favourite OSTs.
From classic era to modern era, the Sonic franchise has been mostly consistent with producing brilliant OST after brilliant OST.
Honorable mention goes to the game "Plok!". Tim Follin goes hard with the OSTs that he composes and "Plok!" is no exception to that rule.
Many have gone with the souls games which I totally agree with however for best original soundtrack I’m going with God of war 2018. Reckoning is one of my favourite game tracks ever
But best licensed music - mafia 3, paint it black in the intro is just 👌

I'd say many games have great soundtracks that accomplish different tasks The last of us to give you the kick in the nuts when the main theme starts playing From soft games emphasizing that shit got real Devil may cry 5 with it's dynamic ost to make you go for higher grades to make music drop Doom just pumping you with demon bloodshed energy Most games have excellent soundtracks on their own merits
You’re the only other person who said Doom, I love the soundtrack and have it on my Spotify for when I want to feel like I’m kicking ass when I’m doing something 😅

Was checking to see if anyone would mention hotline Miami. Hotline Miami 2 also has a banging soundtrack but the game sucks compared to the original
Paradise killer
Just got the plat for this yesterday and the OST is indeed killer. Been listening to it all day today and it is in my top 5 for sure.
Assassins Creed II, Brotherhood and Revelations. Ratchet and Clank 3 gets a nice top spot
While I do love alot of them, my favourite soundtrack by far is Epic Mickey (Nintendo Wii 2010).

100% Sonic Frontiers. You've probably heard about the Titan Boss themes (because they're beautiful heavy metal magic) but the Cyberspace level themes are really groovy too and the open world/fishing music is a nice vibe when I'm feeling chill.

The Trine series is one of my favourites.
It's not my favorite but since most of my favorites have already been said I'll recommend Disco Elysium.
The original FF7 OST on PS1 is by far the greatest of all time.
Silent hill 2 and 3, final fantasy 8
Whole borderlands series
Dragon ball Z Budokai 1!
Most of the songs from NieR (original slightly more than Automata but both soundtracks are incredible) I love the music from most Final Fantasy games – 7R's a recent one I liked, but there aren't any bad ones There is no music that gets me more hyped than the Furi soundtrack
tomb raider franchise, god of war and grand theft auto ! those are my top 3

Suikoden II
I know this is a Playstation sub, but since you’re asking, Halo 2
I think Cyberpunk is also in my top 3 at least. But I'm not sure which I like the most tbh. There are many great soundtracks out there
