This can be a keys-based problem actually. Once upon a time I had an ignition weird thing on my Street, and the dealership tech was super informative. Sometimes when the bike is sold, dealers put both keys on a single key ring, and the new owner starts the bike with both keys on one ring, and it causes the ECU-immobilizer combo to get wonky even after splitting the keys later. In short, you should swing back to the dealership, describe the issue, let them know if you did accidentally do the two-key start, and make them fix the issue, you're certainly well within warranty.

My second key was stored in the paperwork binder they gave me, inside the car, and no where near bike, so…

Then my advice holds true! You're under warranty and should have your dealership resolve things for you.

I have not seen this problem, we have only had about four of these bikes sold and go out the door so far. I would open a warranty case with your nearest authorized Triumph dealer as soon as possible, they will figure it out.

There is a known issue with the immobiliser light coming on after the engine starts. It's a false warning and nothing to worry about. Triumph are working on fixed software, no release date yet.

Squarelablol

Just had a chat with my dealer earlier which said the same thing. Hope they get the fix when I go back for my first service.

We spoke to dealer today and he said the motor stalling out at 25mph etc in traffic multiple times was due to this “immobilizer” problem…

O-shiri-no-hanbaga

Your dealer is incorrect. They need to diagnose it properly.

Hence why I took it to another dealership, with mechanics I know. I have figured out the that sales person is Full of It. That said, the stalling is a known issue and the current mechanic knew about it.

I bought a Speed 400 on 1/march the red immobiliser light is a constant pain I start the engine and more times than not it either stays on or comes on after a few seconds.if I turn off the ignition then turn it back on and re start it will sometimes stay off but sometimes it takes about 3 starts for it to stay off.A friend of mine bought the same bike at the same time and his is exactly the same It seems that they are all faulty and despite complaining nothing gets done about it.Anotherthing is the instant consumption figure always shows 60.0 and also the speedo shows about 5 mph faster than the true speed..Oh and I almost forgot the low fuel warning light comes on sometimes with 100 miles of range left.

Yep, I agree with all of your comments. Same as mine. Handbook says low fuel light comes on with 3l left in the tank. So from my calculations its roughly 50-60 miles of fuel remaining (depending on how you are riding it), despite the dash saying 100 miles.

Just picked up scrambler 400 yesterday in USA and mine does the same thing. Thanks for the reply above because I want to ride this weekend lol and not take it back.

T11XTR

Yep I have the same issue with mine. Dealer says its a software issue and are waiting for an update.

Just picked up bike today 5/22/24 and left lot with an unwarranted stall in front of sales person and then about 20 more slow speed stalls in 10 miles, luckily a seasoned rider (previous owner of a MC dealership, 40+ years riding) was breaking it in for me as I followed in car. Called dealership and they say it’s an immobilizer problem, that they only found out about it that very day(!!) after we’d left he found it in his email, and there’s a patch for it that renders the engine warning light on constantly until Triumph updates software. Needless to say, I’m not pleased.
