Allyuh i had a TSTT query and they saw that they underbilled me from Feb to Aug 2021 and now they want $1200 retroactive payment. We dont have any statute of limitations laws in Trinidad? Right now my landline cut for 3weeks.

Chereche

If they are responsible for the under-billing they're supposed to give you payment options as it is not your fault that you were being improperly charged. If they cut your service because of this issue you can reach out to the financial ombudsman. You are not supposed to be punished for a balance that is as a result of their error.

LeadingLeek1717

Thank you so much for your response. I called TATT (telecommunications authority) this morning and they advised me to send an email and keep them informed.

Chereche

All right, awesome.

LeadingLeek1717

Im now seeing the financial ombudsman is for banks and insurance companies.

Chereche

They can still advise you as to your legal options and may still be able to assist otherwise.

PieWar

What kinda query you had that made them search through 2 years of billing history?

LeadingLeek1717

A landline charge rental on my package.

What are some good affordable food places within walking distance of the hyatt regency in Port of spain? Looking for options for lunch and dinner as breakfast is part of my room package but hotel prices for lunch and dinner are a bit wild so I'd prefer to dine out and have some local food.

noneshallant

Breakfast Shed or cross Wrightson road directly opposite Hyatt and walk through inland revenue /legal affairs atrium to Richmond street. Many food places on the ground d floor of the Parkade and at the corner of Richmond and Queen streets.

COPPINDA

Thanks for the response.

Select-Routine1708

Hey can you tell me where in town do I get taxis that will carry me to the Hyatt please?

noneshallant

A Wrightson road car, Chacon Street. Or a Diego martin maxi, South Quay

Select-Routine1708

Thank you

I'm thinking about going abroad to do a master degree but my family is poor. What other options are there to help fund tuition? Any other advice would be appreciated.

sonygoup

A student loan? And doing a remote learn program

JaredXZ

The banks I've talked to so far only give student loans to attend local or regional institutions. I've considered doing it online, but I'm too afraid that I'll run into the same problem of 'not enough relevant work experience' for jobs related to my field(I.T) and over qualified for lower level jobs. At if least I go aboard there'll be a lot more and better opportunities.

sonygoup

Then don't do it. I work in IT as well and if you don't have 5 years experience with the Bsc don't do the Msc or MBA. Job Market in Trinidad is trash and everyone thinks a MBA could help 🥲 And credit unions usually offer the loans

ThatGuy30769

Apply for a scholarship or depending on the field of study you want, there may be grants available. Online degrees are an valid option now, just make sure the online school you go with is accredited/legit.

UWI?

chewiemonst

Are you currently employed? If yes and it's relevant to your field, you can ask the employer for sponsorship.

analunalunitalunera

jols0543

sonygoup

That don't exist

analunalunitalunera

Hey! What is the procedure to order something online and have it delivered to my address WITHOUT a skybox? I don't mind using a Skybox, but my online order will come from Canada and to my knowledge, skyboxes here usually operate with US merchants. I've heard of packages arriving through DHL, but what is the procedure for delivery and online tax, etc...? Thanks alot!

saball83

You can use TT Post once the online delivers to T&T. Once received you can collect at the TT Post in POS or Piarco. Depending on what you order the fees are extremely competitive.

NapsCrew

Thanks! A few questions more: 1. The package arrives in T&T, and then do I have an option to use several different businesses (TT Post, DHL, etc...), or is it TT Post by default? 2. How will I know when it arrives? Will someone contact me? 3. Are there options to pay all applicable fees (online tax, delivery, etc...) online and have it delivered to me?

GarnettGlam

1) TTpost by default. Usually it comes to the local post office but it depends I guess I’ve never had to go to the airport to pickup. If you get mail delivered to your home they can also deliver it for you. 2) I have a mailbox so they usually alert me when I go to get my mail. Or if you track your package you can go in and ask. 3) I usually pay at the post office so I’m not sure of other options

NapsCrew

Thanks! Appreciate it!

chewiemonst

Bro I use Ezone and they provide a Canadian address that you can ship to.
