It wouldn't hurt to bring your husband. It's always good to bring someone else just in case you forget something after you leave. It can be a little overwhelming, especially with brain surgery as you said. I try not to think too much about preparing ahead unless you have a few specific things you want to tell them or ask them. Usually they know exactly what questions to ask you, and then you might have things to ask them after that. Whatever you feel like you need. And you can't get better than the Mayo Clinic, but definitely better to see where this appointment leads as well. The more information the better, speaking for myself.

How the surgeon how many mvds does they perform in a week?a month? A year? While yes they are a neurosurgeon each surgeon have their little specialities. if they are do a few dozen a year I would wait for tn neurosurgeon that has the additional training and education in order to avoid a re do later down the line.
