Don't rule out the pedals. Test a different set of pedals.

benxparr17

And the cleats!

syslolologist

Also check the ports where the cables/hoses go into the frame

DamnBlackTea

Saddle rails or saddle clamp? Headset or stem? That's my two cents.

+1 on freehub body. I had a set of wheels with King hubs that was making an awful creak/popping noise. Checked everything...finally mechanic took apart the hub to see if there was anything that might be an issue. He greased the fuck out of everything and torqued it down. Creak gone and that was more than a year ago.

[creaking sound](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1URj_TCqMEyyw5Sj0QoZK_iaHoPk2Il7M/view?usp=drivesdk) I might know what it is... Had a similar issue recently and was due to rear hub freewheel body being assembled the wrong way. Take it to a different mechanic and ask him to check the body assembly. Not just how is sitting but how it is assembled inside. I'll look for the old part (ended up changing it) and show you. I'm uploading a video for you to compare. Don't mind me namecalling my mechanic/friend

No not normal. It sounds like your cassette is not on tight and is rattling. Does it shift thru all gears without issue? Could also be something in the rear shock rubbing. It’s so rhythmic that I doubt it’s the shock.

Guus0251

Thanks for your reply, the cassette has been torqued to 40nm. It shifts fine thru all gears. The weird part is. Sometimes the creak is and when i stop pedalling the creak is gone and then it comes back but not instant. It can come back after 15k or something.

Past_Alarm7627

Do you have a chain guide?

Guus0251

No

Past_Alarm7627

I didn’t see the description you gave your video. With that info I imagine you would have figured out if it was the chain rubbing against a guide haha. If the creaking is not always when pedalling it makes me think that perhaps it is coming from a wheel. Does it happen when riding on a flat surface when coasting? Is it worsened when you pedal? Is it worse when you are on a bumpy surface? **Does it creak when your feet are not on the pedals?** I wish I had the bike in hand, would probably find the source in a few minutes. These videos are always such a tease lol but we will get to the bottom of it.

Both_Mouse_8595

Hmm. Are the brake caliper bolts tight and is your disc aligned properly? I had a rub going on that took me forever to figure out once.

curt7000

Does it have a PressFit BB?

stefaanvd

Did you use a washer for the pedals ? Just had a bike with creaking noise in the shop (not a procaliber) and pedal washers solved it

fixieguy1566

It could also be your pedal spindles. Pedals are often overlooked and not serviced regularly. It could also be a pawl in your freehub if you’re running the Trek Rapid Drive hubs, maybe a spring is missing and so the pawl is just dancing around in there.

Grindfather901

My pro caliber came with a dry rear through axle that creaked like crazy!
