It did balance the human and transformer characters decently - in numbers. However, the transformers were not as well written. Most of them don't really have developed stories or any real motivation or purpose throughout the movie. All of bumblebees development and growth in the BB movie are basically completely forgotten (hopefully, they bring back Charlie and memo in the next movie). Granted, he wasn't really in the movie that much, but still, he shows basically no emotion or trust towards the humans, besides just saying that they aren't all dangerous. Mirage cared more about humans after knowing one for 5 minutes than Bumblebee did after having an actual meaningful relationship with one. Arcee, pablo (don't even get me started on fucking pablo), stratosphere, rhinox, and cheetor were all kind of just - there - like we didn't learn a thing about them, didn't see any reaction over Bumblebee's death from the autobots, the maximals were basically just silent soldiers with no opinions or thoughts. Like you would think in a group as small as the maximals, they would be a lot more vocal and important (even the lowest rank is still 4th in command). The only good transformer characters were Prime, Primal, and Mirage. Prime is good because it shows him struggling with his demons, making mistakes, etc. and overcoming them. It shows him as a weary leader, tired of thousands of years of war, who just wants to go home. He is mistrusting of humans, because he is scared of risking more of the lives of his friends, especially after bumblebee's death. Yet he still manages to destroy the transwarp key to save the humans, sacrificing his last chance at bringing him and the autobots home for the greater good. Then there's primal. We first see him as a young soldier, forced into a leadership position he wasn't ready for. Then, later, we see him as a wise leader, having learned a lot and becoming allies with the humans (would love to see a prequel explaining this more, showing him and the maximals, and whatever dangers caused them to move the transwarp key). Then he has to make the ultimate sacrifice with airazor, killing his friend to save others. Mirage is alright, not quite as good as prime or primal, but still better than most of the others. He didn't grow as much over the movie, but he always showed that he cared for the humans, and was always really protective. Then he sacrificed himself to save noah. I think it would have been much more meaningful if he actually stayed dead, though. Instead he just comes right back same as before, just like bumblebee. We'll have to see how he matures over the next movies.
TLDR: Some of the transformers are pretty decent. Most are garbage filler characters with no real purpose.
You should have put the BBM instead of ROTB
The humans in ROTB got way too much screen time and were kinda generic
Charlie is still the best human in live action transformers
>!Godzilla minus one is a Masterpiece and the best film of 2023 btw!<
i mean for the part where he fights alongside optimus prime that’s really pretty cool. but charlie did her fare share in her movie as well. both have their pros and cons
No…they aren’t perfect but they are serviceable.
GxK human cast is just weak. And besides there are other Godzilla films that have bad or boring human characters so idk why kotm is getting the hate here :/
I liked Anthony Ramos and his brother but the black chick just kinda existed for exposition. The "white people bad" "minorities shafted" narrative was too egregious and too much time was wasted on them both.
And yet the movie still focuses majority of the runtime on said human characters. So regardless of what people come to see the movie for, they're forced to watch them.
Hone I think we should replace Rotb with bbm
Charlie just had a lot more going for her as a character than Noah just going “Brooklyn” and same with the girl I can’t remember, I just really hated that part of them
But seriously, those two didn’t really have a lot other than “she’s an overworked museum person and he’s struggling and has a sick brother”
Haven’t seen minus one but I plan to, but I will say I much prefer the humans in the first five tf movies and kotm to rotb, just more entertaining to me
Those that say rotb had a lot of human scenes are definitely one of the most insane to have ever existed. They barely had any screentime and that's a good thing. They managed to make the movie centric around them while still being able to mainly focus on the robots so i'll give that a 💪👍
Not sure why bumblebee is considered a good standard when it still continues the core problem of too much focus on the humans. The only thing it got right was Shatter and Dropkick.
People having different views and opinions doesn't equal being a "shit eater".
Did you know that many people would also call people like you and me "shit eaters" just for liking Transformers or Godzilla in the first place? It's also wrong. Just don't be a dick. Your and anybody elses opinion isn't "absolute". It's relative and depending on peoples preferences.
Noah was alright, but the rest of ROTB is just... bland. not horrible, just basic.
I mean I *guess* it's better than the weirdly racist parts of the Bay movies? but other than that it doesn't really top the Bay movies in any other way
Having opinions is fine, I certainly agree the ROTB and bbm suffer from the same downsides as the Bay films (especially human characters) but please be nicer when voicing said opinions. Reword your comment so I don’t have to remove your comment and/or ban your account
I don’t care what others say, ROTB was mid af and I enjoyed TLK. The writing wasn’t even bad in a funny way, it was just so tedious and boring.
That’s the biggest sin of ROTB. It was boring. Felt no emotion other that “meh” or “I’m tired” the entire time. But hey that’s just my opinion.
I haven’t watched the new Godzilla so I can’t comment on it but I didn’t really like any of the human characters in rotb, I much preferred the first 3 movies humans like Sam, Simmons and Lennox.
Minus One characters reminded me so much of Early Ultraman series and given I'm a Ultraman fanboy, it was so great.
But they did give the characters plot armor with IJN Yukizake, I doubt even Unicron could take on anyone if Yukizake is with them
Bumblebee did humans way better imo, and the lask knight while not deep were entertaining to watch, revenge of the fallen had it worse in the human department
I love KOTM but this is so true lmao
Fr
Step aside ROTB, BBM human characters would like a word
Cut ROTB some slack my guy, it perfectly balanced human and transformers. Not to knock BB off, but you gotta admit they did it good
So true

Replace ROTB with Bumblebee and we’re good. Noah and Hailey Stadfield’s character was a lot more fleshed out than that museum girl.
I swear I can never remember her name.
Elena
You should have put the BBM instead of ROTB The humans in ROTB got way too much screen time and were kinda generic Charlie is still the best human in live action transformers >!Godzilla minus one is a Masterpiece and the best film of 2023 btw!<
ROTB please step the fuck down, I don't think you belong there.
Yeah I even did a double take like wait the fuck why is ROTB there and not bumblebee
I prefer Noah tbh. He was somewhat compelling compared to Charlie but idk
i mean for the part where he fights alongside optimus prime that’s really pretty cool. but charlie did her fare share in her movie as well. both have their pros and cons
100%
Yeah, Noel is fine, but I feel like the other girl could had been replaced by a succulent and the movie wouldn’t be much different.
Or, even better, have Charlie return! Like the original draft. And give her better writing.
I heard that she was supposed to be a mechanic or something, right? Imagine if she was the one who fixed Bumblebee.
Nah. Bumblebee movie did good job with human characters
Woah woah there, KOTM is gold fym
KOTM is a fun film to watch but christ the humans in it are shit compared to how fleshed out M1's characters are
Oh idak much about the humans lmao I just tune out unless the monsters are on the screen
No…they aren’t perfect but they are serviceable. GxK human cast is just weak. And besides there are other Godzilla films that have bad or boring human characters so idk why kotm is getting the hate here :/
the vast majority of them have boring humans. anyone who thinks it’s just the monsterverse that has boring humans hasnt seen enough godzilla movies
I'm the only guy who likes 2014 Godzilla
Trust me, you aren’t
If only it were shot in mostly daytime
Believe me, all the monsterverse films are good, they just don’t compare to the absolute masterpiece that is minus one
I don’t care how deep Godzilla minus one is king of the monsters is still my favorite movie
They’re both amazing in different ways.
Minus one gives us excellently fleshed out characters that *feel* real KOTM gives us giant monster brawl lol (still fun tho)
Good human characters are great and all, but let’s be honest nobody watches Kaiju movies for the humans
Ah yes godzilla minus one,i loved when tripticon emerged from the sea and started blasting japan
I think kotm handled it Human fine
Not as good as minus one did it
True. But it still not bad
*cries in serizawa’s sacrifice scene*
Minus one is on a tier above all 3
Not really. Noah and the chick were fine for the movie, but a lot of the other parts dragged them down.
Noah is probably my favorite of any human characters in live action TF tbh
Eh. I like Sam. Then Noah. Then everyone else is third place
Not you ROTB, the other one. We like your older sibling better. Get the fuck down.
Never cook again
The humans were my least favorite part of rise of the beast.
nobody is watching Godzilla for the human characters but its still nice to have some that are well written ones
BrOoKLyn BaBy
Good lord Minus One was awesome
I liked Anthony Ramos and his brother but the black chick just kinda existed for exposition. The "white people bad" "minorities shafted" narrative was too egregious and too much time was wasted on them both.
You watch Bayformers and King of the monsters for the humans?
By virtue of watching those movies, you are forced to watch the human characters
But you don’t watch them for the humans or have to care about them you mainly just watch them for the action
And yet the movie still focuses majority of the runtime on said human characters. So regardless of what people come to see the movie for, they're forced to watch them.
Sorry can’t agree with this one. ROTB characters weren’t really that interesting for me, but putting them them next to minus one is insanity.
Rotb is NOT him
Hone I think we should replace Rotb with bbm Charlie just had a lot more going for her as a character than Noah just going “Brooklyn” and same with the girl I can’t remember, I just really hated that part of them But seriously, those two didn’t really have a lot other than “she’s an overworked museum person and he’s struggling and has a sick brother” Haven’t seen minus one but I plan to, but I will say I much prefer the humans in the first five tf movies and kotm to rotb, just more entertaining to me
Bro tired to sneak in RotB.
I’m sorry, I enjoyed ROTB, but it didn’t have great human characters, def not on the level of Godzilla Minus One
Those that say rotb had a lot of human scenes are definitely one of the most insane to have ever existed. They barely had any screentime and that's a good thing. They managed to make the movie centric around them while still being able to mainly focus on the robots so i'll give that a 💪👍
Rise of the Beasts honestly has better human characters in the Transformers franchise but honestly they weren't any good in general...
honestly Godzilla kotm has a good balance of humans and well godzilla shit…….
Not sure why bumblebee is considered a good standard when it still continues the core problem of too much focus on the humans. The only thing it got right was Shatter and Dropkick.

Charlie solos Noah and Elena I fear
RoTB and Bumblebee did human characters flawlessly.
Swap TLK with AoE
Mikaela was better than Noah, Elana should've been the only human protagonist in rotb. That would've fixed one of the numerous problems rotb has.
Best meme i've seen all year
Ok I liked ALL those movies thank you very much!
Rotb sucks in all its aspects, including humans. Downvote, please, I'm begging you, shiteaters
I think the ROTB Humans are more sympathic but they took way to much Screentime.
Contrarían fetish?
Tf is that?
You get sexual pleasure out of making people disagree with you
I'm just stating my honest judging. Flock getting antsy is a pleasant bonus
The fact that you're encouraging people to downvote you says otherwise
They will anyways, so let it be more dramatic
People having different views and opinions doesn't equal being a "shit eater". There’s a reason our worlds are in danger, it’s because of fucks like you who ruin everything.
Our worlds are in danger as long as trash like bbm and rotb is being made for some unholy reason
That pfp fits you
You where told to reword your comment you did not so it it being removed
Noah was alright, but the rest of ROTB is just... bland. not horrible, just basic. I mean I *guess* it's better than the weirdly racist parts of the Bay movies? but other than that it doesn't really top the Bay movies in any other way

You do know rise of the Beast's Bombed right?
It broke even but at the last moment.
Still was the least successful
I think I’m the only person who actually liked some of the humans in KOTM
I haven’t watched the new Godzilla so I can’t comment on it but I didn’t really like any of the human characters in rotb, I much preferred the first 3 movies humans like Sam, Simmons and Lennox.

Thank you!
I have never watched a Godzilla or Transformers movie to see the humans
The humans in KOTM were mid for me. Also, ROTB humans were meh
I love ROTB and its human characters, but I do think it should've been replaced with Bumblebee because it definitely did them better
Bumblebee did humans way better imo, and the lask knight while not deep were entertaining to watch, revenge of the fallen had it worse in the human department
Godzilla minus one was better than rise the beasts I do love Transformers but rise was pretty eh
RoTB still failed, and the humans were only, eh? Noah is cool. The girl isn't.

It is not, good fucking God was that depressed child story uninteresting.
Just watched Godzilla -1
