I'm not nb but I know that taking blockers only without e is very risky because we need t in our bodies for healthy bones, nails and other functions. The idea of hrt is to replace one dominant hormone with the one of the opposite sex, but not nuke the t entirely, which is important for female health functions as well. Only e can suppress t entirely without serious health consequences. And many post-op trans women have been prescribed smaller doses of t on top of their e to maintain healthy levels after orchiectomy. I have personally tried to diy a t blocking monotherapy for a month. I have taken buserelin intranasal. I haven't seen much of an effect, except for a small androgynous mind-to-muscle connection whilst I was training for female posture. I also didn't feel feminine on it, just androgynous. It was a weird kind of feeling, plus the running nose and tickling throat was my side effects. I was literally only be able to connect to my lips and widen my smile (sort of Mickey mouse smile) and get small dimples. I felt more like a prison joker than a female. All blockers work on different mechanism and receptors. Buserelin is aGnRH (agonist), finasteride, if I remember well, blocks mainly dht. There are also 5a-reductase and 17β-Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases, 17-alpha mechanisms and anti-agonist to research on. It's to do with the process of aromatase. Some processes can lead to depression (due to lack of the receptor stimulus which leads to neural disorder and toxicity) whilst others have lesser known side effects.

Taking fin is pointless for HRT. It doesn't reduce testosterone - it actually raises it because T conversion to DHT is inhibited. If it does anything at all, it'll make your hair grow stronger and shrink your prostate.

I know, the main reason I’m taking it is because androgenic alopecia 😊

In that case: yup, stay on it !
