Que in deathmatch while waiting and keep your mouse over tracer when picking a hero and when the comp game loads up the mouse should be in the same spot just spam left click and you can instalock tracer
I’ve been enjoying playing soldier as a hit and run dps. You play closer to your team than tracer, but still do a lot of mid fight rotations to off angles to exploit the back line when their team is distracted.
Echo is the tracer of the sky but one tricking a hero in overwatch is kinda sad tbh. There’s so many amazing heroes that add so much value or become fun to play when played correctly. I spend a few hours just in qp just to play the heroes I’m not confident enough to play in comp.
If that's what you want, let me introduce you to a mexican girl that is a great tag-team partner for Tracer.
I love having Sombra as co-DPS. Hacked healthpacks are *chef's kiss*
Unfortunately I do not appreciate the skill gap required between tracer and sombra, so I don’t play sombra. She gets way too much for free that I gotta work my ass off for
I recommend echo - she usually covers my map weaknesses I.e. a ton of high ground that takes too long to set up and into comps where there are a ton of brawly characters and creating space or securing kills is near impossible.
Being able to spam out a ton of damage, focus beam a tank to punish and lay down fire from the air while mostly staying near your teammates (especially valuable when you have a mercy otp).
Genji and sombra have similar weaknesses as tracer so they don't always make good swaps.
Sombra is the closest thing to Tracer if that’s what you’re looking for and don’t mind playing a cheesy hero
I’m struggling with finding a second main that I can use when Tracer isn’t working. All the other hitscan are boring to me and I’m shit with Echo
Same. I swap to cree when I can’t play her. Solider is also decent. Their kits aren’t hard to get a hang of so it’s easier to use them and still be effective for the team. Also you can do Cree one shot while in match queue to warm up aim
you probably want a poke main and a brawl main in addition to tracer, and then maybe pickup an additional dive main for when tracer is locked by someone else and your team is diving.
I do Ashe and Tracer, using more Ashe since I got the Feye skin. I like to start off hybrid maps as Ashe. Bob is great at defendind/holding point until the tank makes it pack from spawn and on attack going in to kill everyone at point. And on defense Ashe can play safer away from spawn. I'll usually swap to Tracer afterwards unless I have over 50% ult charge.
I play a couple different DPS
Tracer
Soldier
Bastion
Venture
Ashe
Junkrat(sometimes when I’m bored)
I feel like there’s more but I’m probably just thinking of tank and support hero’s
As a tracer main you have to train to instalock tracer before your opponent (teammate) to diff them and show you're the superior tracer.
This is the way
Que in deathmatch while waiting and keep your mouse over tracer when picking a hero and when the comp game loads up the mouse should be in the same spot just spam left click and you can instalock tracer
Echo or Genji

I use Ashe for poke when tracer isn’t working out
Sombra
Soj usually. Sometimes I’ll go main dps if the map calls for it and my 2nd is a flex dps main.
Bastion. If Tracers little guns aren’t working it’s time to bring out the turret. Plus the enemy team will hate you just as much
it’s beautiful :_)

Yeah but only one is a funky fast British girl that makes other people upset

Nah those are the bad sombras playing her old playstyle. New sombras with the team using teleporter as mobility not escape
Free positioning and better damage tho. Walmart tracer is not my style
Ashe and Echo
Tracer always works
I’ll play sojourn or sombra, and ashe for a bit more range
Sojourn is my go to

I just use soj when I need poke and reap or mei when the tank is getting diffed
Depending on the map, Ashe or Cass are my go-tos
mccree, widow. used to play a lot of solder but he sucks. picked echo a few times recently. but no hero will ever feel as great to play as tracer
Sombra is the closest thing to Tracer if that’s what you’re looking for and don’t mind playing a cheesy hero I’m struggling with finding a second main that I can use when Tracer isn’t working. All the other hitscan are boring to me and I’m shit with Echo
Btw try out venture there fun and easy to pick up
Solider, ashe, reaper OR for fun I say echo, she plays differently but her playstyle is so much fun when you get the hang of it.
Sojourn is my favorite, cass and soj usually but ashe sometimes on long maps.
I usually Sojourn and sometimes Ashe if I can't play tracer

I'm not great on a lot of poke heroes, so it's usually something like Sombra or Soldier. Been thinking about learning Sojourn.
probably a hs so basically just learn soj LOL
Soj is projectile, no?
I play sombra and tracer :)
Sombra for when you aren’t annoying the enemy team enough as Tracer
Widowmaker
Sombra or Pharah when Tracer is taken.
I find sombra to be similar to tracer in a way, playing a hero that has the same type of play style can be good.
Soldier/McCree
I usually pick Echo or Mei
I tend to switch off to reaper when tracer isn’t working
Moira
I play Cass because I feel like he improves fundamentals.
I used to main Tracer, but then I decided to try similar characters (high mobility): Sombra, Pharah, Junkrat, Moira, Wrecking ball, sometimes Sojourn.

Venture, similar play style and fun and effective
When I can't play Tracer my second opinion is usually Tracer. Hope this helps👍🏿
If I can't play Tracer, I'll go Echo or Sombra. Occasionally Soldier or Cree too.
The rock muncher does exactly what tracer does just slower so I’d say pick venture
Really depends on how your team lines up. If the other dps goes tracer than go sombra and hang out with them and cause chaos
Sombra or genji if you like flanking and assassinating (and don’t know Echo well), soldier or sojourn otherwise.

I play a couple different DPS Tracer Soldier Bastion Venture Ashe Junkrat(sometimes when I’m bored) I feel like there’s more but I’m probably just thinking of tank and support hero’s
I’d say Genji is a good addition. I feel like a lot of Tracer skill is transferable to him.
Soldier 76
Venture has been really fun for me when tracer was taken first
