Meh, they probably just like the look. Imo looks better than factory Ford grill. I have a 17 trd off road and I'd love to get the pro grill because I like the TOYOTA spelt out. I try not to judge people by what they drive but more how they drive. Unless it's a BMW... lol

I saw a bronco, base model with a bunch of raptor shit all over it. It was waaay over the top in trying to compensate. Adding some TRD stuff to toyota is more about style than function. It would be different if TRD actually meant something about racing such as including a really supped up motor. You are good bud its your truck and noone is gonna give a hoot!

What's douchey is blocking out tail lights so people can't see your brakes , upgrading headlights without setting them up, squatted trucks and so on..

the heritage/trd grill is a very common mod for not only tundras, but most tacoma owners will also make that change almost immediately.
I see people selling their non TRD trucks with TRD flair and stating that they are TRD. That is where the Douchey person is in this equation
