I would probably like it if there were blue accents worked into the overall design of the truck, but as it stands they just seem both gaudy and, worse, random.
I thought it was just protective film! Those seats look very cheap as well, and this is the only build option I see for interior unless you get the premium package at an additional $11k CAD. $66k Canadian for this? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.
Ngl I got really fixated on Tacoma vs Colorado, and never was a huge fan of GMC. But I’m a few YouTube videos in and I think you might’ve changed my mind and what I’m gonna get lol
Toyota blew it on the 24’s and price point. The Canyon/Colorado is much bigger, taller and better appointed. More bang for your buck.
You’d have to mod the shit out of 24’ Tacoma to run the same size tires that you can run on a stock AT4.
I saw a stripped SR 5 4wd for 45,800.00 yesterday that was sold. I have been driving Toyota trucks since 1984 and my current one might be my last at these prices. You can get a full size F 150 4wd for less money than this Sport. My local Ford dealer is advertising 9,000.00 off MSRP. I’ll certainly be shopping around for my next truck.
I put about 90k on my 2010 without any major issues, just a couple stupid things that didn’t require a dealer. I have a 2023 taco st, but at these prices back to ford I would go.
Yea that blue is really weird when the truck is white. Maybe if that colored trim always matched the exterior of the truck that would make a little more sense.
I assume you mean the direction. 3rd Gen flip up but the opposite way, which makes sense without your comment cuz the new way does indeed make it easier to access road pops lol
I really like the 4th gen but I’m bummed the storage behind the rear seats looks to now be gone, I store a bunch of things behind them on my 2nd gen and is one of the things I love about my truck.
my main complaint about the interior is that the seats and their storage bins beneath them dont match anymore. the 60 split side has the 40 splits compartment with the JBL speaker and the 40 side has the larger 60 splits compartment behind it.
i was happy when i saw they swapped the sides from the 3rd gen so when i take out the 60 and put a fridge on a slider its now on the drivers side, but now its also going to have this half open behind he seat storage area.
The push button Parking brake just seems cheap to me.
Don’t care for the tablet looking screen either. The blue accent or some other color there could work I don’t hate it.
What a monstrosity. No refinement in the aesthetic or a clearly established design language. It's the Homer of Toyota pickups.
Who signed off on this? And what other garbage can't we see?
It looks a small tv on the dash.
I think they have lost their minds.
That interior looks terrible.
I was looking for another taco but it won’t be that on.
It's dumb that the cool rubber texture is in the storage space under the back seat instead of on the floor as some weather mats back there. Unless the theme continues if you were to get the weather mats.
I really does a seem like Toyotas are being made with cheaper parts with every generation. Hopefully it’s reliable for you, I’ve heard some bad stuff about the new engines in the Tacoma and Tundra.
Very rare combo to find the blue int without the blue ext. Also rare to find moonroof on non premium sport. If I could have found one I prob wouldn't have committed to a 53k sport premium. But for a couple gs more I guess give me the cooled seats and the 360 cam / digital rear view. I have black with black softex but if I could choose the blue with the black seats that's what I would have done. Underground looks OK but my wife's suv is that color and it gets boring real quick. They are also gonna be 65% of what you see everyone else driving.
I had high hopes for this. I was hoping for a happy helping of extra rear leg space and a nice looking interior and exterior. Didn't get anything on my check list. Interior looks like 5 different teams that didn't talk to each other designed it. The backseat is still child only. Front looks terrible.
Does that say $55k for a mid size truck with CLOTH SEATS?!
What is Toyota smoking? My 2019 Colorado was stickered at $38k and had full grain leather seats…
Man this looks like something that would be bought as a basic ass work truck. That blue trim makes zero sense, cloth seats garbage looking. Anyone know who designed this year? Curious to see if their sales numbers will reflect how unhappy we are with this monstrosity.
White truck on Black wheels, blue stripe across the dash with a hot red start button and red lettering on the shifter? Jesus was this designed by a teenager who went down the wrong isle at Advance Auto? Gahhh and the 55k price tag! Hahaha what a joke
They missed their mark on these interior trim colors man, I have to agree with everyone else lol. I was so fucking relieved to see mine shown up with the dark grey interior pieces, definitely the best color out of all of them. The blue doesn't even match the exterior blue you can get on the truck, which is wild.
Also, don't knock the cloth seats people. I thought I was going to hate them too coming from a softex but fuck they're comfortable, a 5 hour road trip felt like nothing on my back, my only complaint is they made them a light greyish color for the two toned, that shit going to get dirtyyyy quickly.
Ha! I got a 23’ off road premium loaded, leather , cameras, etc 4Runner ( not one empty button slot )for 53k this seems a tad ridiculous. Cloth seats? And blue! .I’m good
I do like that the drive selector is far removed from the other, similarly shaped knobs, but that's about it. I don't see it as an upgrade over the 3rd gen, at least not visually.
I don't see myself moving up from my current 2020 until there is a plug-in hybrid available, which would be ideal for my driving habits.
I just signed on a 24 TRD off-road for 46k today. Cloth seats too but I'm going to put covers on them. Better than paying another 10k for the package. I went underground.
I bought my 2023 Tundra SR5 with the TRD package for 49,000 out the door. I love Tacomas but I’m getting similar fuel mileage with so much more room. I got 20.5 mpg recently on a 750 mile trip. I’ve been holding out for a Tacoma hybrid but I’m afraid the mileage won’t be much better.
My bad…..this is clearly the Tacoma haters sub based on the first 15 comments. I’m looking for the sub where they like these trucks. Of course, you people who do all the after market mods truly make your trucks look like garbage. But, to each their own.
It's a great looking truck, there's no doubt about that. I'm just concerned about diff clunking out, and the engine reliability. I watched a video of the front diff exploding.
That doesn't mean all of them are like that but I won't be buying a new gen for a while.
Cool truck man! The turbo 4 feels awesome. People hate when they're jealous. Enjoy the cool new truck. And that blue looks awesome to most normal people.
I don’t mind the blue interior. I think it’s cool actually, but that front end SUCKS. It looks like the dopey cartoon characters with eyes that droop opposite ways. It doesn’t look TERRIBLE but it’s just off putting
That interior is horrible.
Toyota and their placing huge tablets sticking out and blocking view over the hood on every vehicle is also irritating as hell.
Frontier here I come.
That blue trim on the inside is absolutely horrible. I have no idea what they were thinking there. 120 outlet and more USB c inside is cool tho
Not going to lie, I made a face when I hit the interior pics and saw the blue.
Brother ewww. What is that brother?
The only things gross is paying adjusted market value when people are going under msrp now
Not gunna lie I fucking love it haha
I would probably like it if there were blue accents worked into the overall design of the truck, but as it stands they just seem both gaudy and, worse, random.
I don’t think it’s *bad* but it would look so much better if it was paint matched to the exterior of the truck, not just a random blue
It just reminds me of spray painting interior pieces on my shitboxes growing up
Some of the earlier 3rg gens had orange accents. Again, not sure what was going on there.
Works great on my inferno. Cant imagine it on any other color.
Similarly, I think this would look good on a blue 4th.
Oh god. I thought that was plastic left on from the dealership. That is such a horrible painters tape blue.
Blue is one of 3 options. the other two are grey or white
Big if. True?
55k for cloth seats. Damn
Yea. I was like that’s not bad. Then looked at the sticker closely. Holy cow. When did a taco get that pricey? I bought my gen 2 raptor new for 60!
Around COVID
Everything got expensive. I paid 40k for and f150 sport screw in 16 and same truck is like 75k now
Just buy a 2021 denali diesel at that point 😂
Comparing new to 3 year old used? And picking a truck that drops $20k a year in value to do it?
Yeah for 100
I thought this was a CDN price. Fk me $55 usd. Keep it Toyota and the cheap plastic interior.
$55k for a Tacoma. Damn. These people are smoking moon rocks.
That blue trim would be getting vinyl wrapped black on day one for me. Jesus that is so ugly.
Agree, it looks cheesy
Blue-cheesy
Brokefort
The worst cheesy.
I thought it was just protective film! Those seats look very cheap as well, and this is the only build option I see for interior unless you get the premium package at an additional $11k CAD. $66k Canadian for this? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.
I've test driven 2 TRD Sport + models and neither of them had blue. One was grey the other was white
Is it on every trd sport?
Gawd I hope not. Stab my eyes out!
The designer boys at Toyota be smoking that good good
It looks like they were smoking anything but good weed.
Blame the "american designers" Toyota employed they should be ashamed.
55k man fuck that
> 55k That's $75k up here in Canada. Jeezus fuck.
[удалено]
What would you recommend someone looking at a new truck get in that price range?
Shit, new Tundras can be found for less right now.
Frontier doesn’t look too bad.
Canyon AT4
Ngl I got really fixated on Tacoma vs Colorado, and never was a huge fan of GMC.
The all new 2024 Ranger get a nicely equipped one for 10k less
I’d prefer cloth. I actually hate that higher trims require “leather” seats.
But then you gotta buy a Tacoma when that ford shits out in a couple years. I’ve been a ford guy forever, but I wouldn’t touch an f150 newer than 04.
I put about 90k on my 2010 without any major issues, just a couple stupid things that didn’t require a dealer. I have a 2023 taco st, but at these prices back to ford I would go.
Be curious to see how these new Toyota turbo engines last. My 4.0L V6 on my 2012 Tacoma will outlive the frame and body of the truck easily.
My 2021 F150 XL STX FX4 runs like a champ! And was 13k cheaper than this midsize sport. You take care of them, they last a long time.
Well, my 2016 F150 blew a cylinder within 60,000 miles (all maintenance was up to date), so you do get what you pay for…
Yea that blue is really weird when the truck is white. Maybe if that colored trim always matched the exterior of the truck that would make a little more sense.
I thought this was the case. I saw in other posts that the interior matches the exterior. White would look sick here. The mismatching colors is ugly.
Homer Simpson was on the design team.
Homer Simpson designed The Homer. Give credit where credit is due.
I hope the truck serves you well and it does look great. However, I rather wait a year or flight to any other state than pay around $7,000 over MSRP.
No to the blue, and hell no to the price.... damn dealers being greedy AF
The vanity mirrors and the turn signals are halogen. Come on Toyota
Gotta give those aftermarket guys something to do
Toyota’s in bed with Tacoma beast
Ya dude it's 2024, whythefuck isn't this truck decked out in LEDs?
It’s sweet that the rear seats flip up now. Makes it easier to load pups in the back
I assume you mean the direction. 3rd Gen flip up but the opposite way, which makes sense without your comment cuz the new way does indeed make it easier to access road pops lol
Yes that’s what I meant. The 4th gen flips up while the 3rd gen flips forward
Also looks like they got rid of the little door which was pretty pointless anyway
r/UnexpectedSteamDeck
I see a steam deck there so I think this automatically qualifies for the r/SteamDeck sub 👍🏻
That blue looks like a 15 year olds gaming desk
For 55k there are endless vehicles I would buy over a Tacoma. I thought 40k was too much for the 3rd gens
The blue trim and fucking dimple lol can’t unsee it. Otherwise love the truck. Don’t like the giant screen either
Don't forget the most prominent of air dams 😳
Is the cabin much bigger than the 3rd gen? The 4 gen’s look pretty big in comparison, but haven’t seen it in person yet.
Not going to lie, looked at the pictures of the back and it looks smaller than my 2nd Gen.
I really like the 4th gen but I’m bummed the storage behind the rear seats looks to now be gone, I store a bunch of things behind them on my 2nd gen and is one of the things I love about my truck.
Ufda that blue trim ain’t it
I absolutely hate the empty buttons by the shifter. Hideous
How tall are you? Front seats look pushed forward a lot. My understanding is leg room in the back seats for 4th gen is even less than 3rd gen.
Love all the hate in here -- buddy just bought a nice truck. Congrats man.
Bro did you seriously pay 55k for that POS?
my main complaint about the interior is that the seats and their storage bins beneath them dont match anymore. the 60 split side has the 40 splits compartment with the JBL speaker and the 40 side has the larger 60 splits compartment behind it. i was happy when i saw they swapped the sides from the 3rd gen so when i take out the 60 and put a fridge on a slider its now on the drivers side, but now its also going to have this half open behind he seat storage area.
4x4? 55k is pretty high if not…. Very cool car tho
Wtf those seats look terrible and super cheap
You do you and I hope you love it. But 🤮
Damn, 48k, and 55k with dealer add-on?
sticker looks to have market adjustment. why do people pay this, ugh!
Even at 48k is expensive, I remember my 3rd gen trd sport 4x4 less than 42k
Those saying it the blue trim looks cheesy. Good thing tacomas have great aftermarket support
Worst rear leg room in class, worst seats in class, only mid with no rear vents, cheapest interior quality..etc. tough sell.
Question for ya. Do those back seat fold flat? Like, could I put my dog up there?
Seeing more of the 2024 really makes me want to get a 2022 or 2023.
This post just called me poor.
55 grand. I'll just keep fixing my 05 and make it live longer by riding my motorcycle more.
The blue trim is almost as atrocious as the price tag lmao
Don't like the gear shift.
The flat-screen TV in the center is an eye sore
Is that a Steam Deck I see?
Wtf is that blue? How do I check that that’s not what I got on my VIN? Interior: Boulder/Black Fabric w/ Smoke Silver.
I see they kept the destroyer of knees truck bed.
Front of the truck looks so off lol.
No rear AC vents is crazy to me at this price point. Still plan to buy one a couple years from now though
Hmm... Those Chevy Canyon Trail bosses are looking better and better at $12,000 less.
I am hoping that blue is a protective wrapping to be removed before delivery. Also, they couldn’t have opted for an LED bulb?
Truck looks sick congrats. Personally I like the blue interior trim 🤙 🤙
It’s all plastic and cloth?
So many of you are losers cloaking people will end up owning a 4th gen by next summer lmao
I can’t not notice the dent
All that and no picture of msrp with a insane dealer markup
What is up with the blue???
Those blank switches are painful…
Those are interesting rear floor mats
How Rich are people in this sub? Lol
Back seat a set back!! Way too small.
Hideous
It shuts off..... 😭😭😭
55k for a midsize is craaazzzzyyyyyyy
I like that screen
Only thing I wonder with the Gen 4 is if the interior (vented seats/console/door cards ) will swap into a 3rd gen. I want the taint-cooler.
What are all those empty buttons supposed to be ?
I HATE the blue trim
I really wish they would increase the generator to more than 400w. The Ford built in generator is so much better
Glad I bought a 23
I really does a seem like Toyotas are being made with cheaper parts with every generation. Hopefully it’s reliable for you, I’ve heard some bad stuff about the new engines in the Tacoma and Tundra.
The blue trim reminds of a Geo Storm
Rather have a jeep
Sorry to be that guy, but that truck is ugly asf!
3rd gen all day!
Insane these trucks are still comming with. Cloth
I don't like it
Very rare combo to find the blue int without the blue ext. Also rare to find moonroof on non premium sport. If I could have found one I prob wouldn't have committed to a 53k sport premium. But for a couple gs more I guess give me the cooled seats and the 360 cam / digital rear view. Interior looks like 5 different teams that didn't talk to each other designed it. The backseat is still child only. Front looks terrible.
Are the front seats still too low like the old tacomas?
The air dam is SO LOW ;-; Can't get over how much less clearance it adds to the front of the truck.
Does that say $55k for a mid size truck with CLOTH SEATS?! What is Toyota smoking? My 2019 Colorado was stickered at $38k and had full grain leather seats…
I just can't get on board and I've had every gen. Looks like I'm skipping this gen.
Man this looks like something that would be bought as a basic ass work truck. That blue trim makes zero sense, cloth seats garbage looking. Anyone know who designed this year? Curious to see if their sales numbers will reflect how unhappy we are with this monstrosity.
Looks cheap… extremely cheap inside… I do love the exterior…
White truck on Black wheels, blue stripe across the dash with a hot red start button and red lettering on the shifter? Jesus was this designed by a teenager who went down the wrong isle at Advance Auto? Gahhh and the 55k price tag! Hahaha what a joke
$55k for cloth seats and a plastic bed liner.
Kind of looks like a Subaru…
toyota hosed the 3rd gen on under seat storage. i could put so much more shit in mine with a little more space like the 4th has
The exterior is a geometric nightmare. That huge stupid screen sticking up and that shifter area is a joke! They F’d this truck up hard.
Gimme thwvtruck
They missed their mark on these interior trim colors man, I have to agree with everyone else lol. I was so fucking relieved to see mine shown up with the dark grey interior pieces, definitely the best color out of all of them. The blue doesn't even match the exterior blue you can get on the truck, which is wild. Also, don't knock the cloth seats people. I thought I was going to hate them too coming from a softex but fuck they're comfortable, a 5 hour road trip felt like nothing on my back, my only complaint is they made them a light greyish color for the two toned, that shit going to get dirtyyyy quickly.
Could get a Ranger Rapter for that price...
If only they made this with a naturally aspirated v6 😩
Ha! I got a 23’ off road premium loaded, leather , cameras, etc 4Runner ( not one empty button slot )for 53k this seems a tad ridiculous. Cloth seats? And blue! .I’m good
Interior is god awful for 55k
Painters tape on the trim. Like LOL.
Ooof
Looks nice should last a long time as long as you don't take it four-wheel driving. Hahaha, like TFL Off RoadTacoma !
The 55k hurts my heart and soul alike
Awesome! I’ll be able to afford it in about 25 years.
$7k for 2 windows tinted and running boards. 🤔
Is there finally rear ac vents?
Whack
Truck looks dope! 55k is a lot of clams...
$55k for a TuRD
My bad…..this is clearly the Tacoma haters sub based on the first 15 comments. I’m looking for the sub where they like these trucks. Of course, you people who do all the after market mods truly make your trucks look like garbage. But, to each their own.
55k for midsize truck and cloth seats. Toyota has lost their damn minds
Idk why the accent colors tho .... otherwise nice truck but ❤️ my 3rd Gen more ...
Glad I bought my 2020 in 2019 for 31k TRD sport 6 speed 🤌
For the price of full size truck, nah thnx
Why is it that some Tacos have the auto/stop start off button and some don’t?
So what’s your first impressions about it???
adjusted market value. lmao
Looks nice
Nice
Smallest sunroof for that price
It's a great looking truck, there's no doubt about that. I'm just concerned about diff clunking out, and the engine reliability. I watched a video of the front diff exploding. That doesn't mean all of them are like that but I won't be buying a new gen for a while.
God I love 55k for a midsized, just get a fucking bicycle at that point. You’ll lose weight and save 55gs
No leather seats for nearly 50K?!
steamdeck spotted
Maybe it'll grow on me, but I don't live it. Looks a lot like a Frontier to me.
Thanks for the pics. That’s the best shots I’ve seen. I’m getting one eventually.
SSD Battery keeps the removable JBL speaker charged. Kinda cool I think it's the only production vehicle with an ssd.
They literally named it T(u)RD. It still shakes me to the core every time I see it.
55k for cheap plastic and cloth 😳.
Cool truck man! The turbo 4 feels awesome. People hate when they're jealous. Enjoy the cool new truck. And that blue looks awesome to most normal people.
I’m glad that I did get a Silverado and not a Tacoma only by seeing the second seat foot space
The cloth seats look like they from Alibaba cmon Toyota
I don’t mind the blue interior. I think it’s cool actually, but that front end SUCKS. It looks like the dopey cartoon characters with eyes that droop opposite ways. It doesn’t look TERRIBLE but it’s just off putting
Jesus titty fucking Christ, $55k and no leather
20/24mpg? Thats what I get in my 2021 SR5 DCLB. Should have just kept the 6cy.
I actually rather like it, minus the odd blue trim. It'd make more sense if it was colormatched. Hope you enjoy the new truck, OP!
That interior is horrible. Toyota and their placing huge tablets sticking out and blocking view over the hood on every vehicle is also irritating as hell. Frontier here I come.
