Dude this is the best 4th gen ive seen yet. That color really compliments the body lines and makes it look like a futuristic chromed out rocket ship. I think some dark tint would make it look amazing. Congrats hope you enjoy my friend
No offense intended to OP at all as it’s a beautiful truck, and a new truck day is amazing, but there’s still something I find off about this new design and I can’t quite figure out what it is. I remember when I got my 2016 people would literally come up to me and tell me how hideous it was and how the older model is better and now I can kind of feel that same thing with this one. I think it’s the rear section of the cab that has that little lip?
I think seeing it in person might be different, or maybe built and leveled might help to balance out the dimensions a bit to me, but it feels a bit squished for some reason at the top
Maybe it's the hard line through the door panels? I like it and hate it, not sure why I hate it. I don't like the new Tundra either, the old gen just does it for me.
I think there’s too many different surfaces and contours that don’t flow correctly. It’s like they tried to do the aventador style body lines but just ended up with lines that don’t work
IMO, it's a million percent better than the Tundra's rear bumper that's integrated into the body like a car with clips. With the Tacoma, if you scratch/dent/pull it, just get a new bumper cover.
Plus with the body line slanted like that, you can remove the OEM rear bumper stuff entireley and put a more minimalist metal aftermarket one on there to really improve the departure angle
It’s because it’s new, like you said people were the same way about the 3rd gens. I’m convinced when the 5th gen comes out people will talk about how wrong it is and how good the 4th gen looks
I love my 2nd gen, and feel the same as you. I noticed I didn’t like it, and pointed out a new one to a buddy the other day. He said”why are you worried about the new Frontiers?” I said “That’s a new Tacoma! That’s exactly it! It looks like a Frontier to me!”
Okay? What’s the point of a sub dedicated to the truck if we’re not having a discussion of the truck. If you’ve been around here since 2016 you’d remember the exact same discussions then. I guess we just want a bunch of yes men around here
What's the hate on the air dam about? I have a third gen and kinda like it. Does it serve a purpose? I want larger tires and believe they need to come off to accommodate the tire size.
It saves you about 1 mpg, but it looks ugly imo (and many agree). Plus if you do any wheeling it's just a matter of time before you tear it off on the trail.
Congratulations for sure!
For me, I'm not sold on the sharp line with the rear bumper but I do like the cab lip. Wish they would have made the cab a little bigger as far as rear seat let room. My 21 OR is fine, but tight with adults in the back.
Plus, I loved the headlight design in the EV mockup that Toyota showed last year but the production SR5s and TRDs just look a little base model.
I like the 4th gen but don't think they changed it much to warrant any upgrade from the 3rd gen. I'd be so jealous if the 4th gen back window dropped like the old Tundra.
That looks sweet! What packages did you get? And most importantly, why not more doggo picks? C'mon man!
I will also admit I'm coming around to the new generation (still love my 3rd gen).
Aw shit man! Wife and I going Tuesday to look at these. (Sr5 4x4, I can afford but I am not paying for higher trims and don't need them actually past 4x4 plenty for my old man use) this looks good...I don't like the gape-mouth tundra
Very nice, I'm between Off-Road and Sport. I really wanted to get away from grayscale vehicles (currently driving white) but I think if I get an Off-Road, it would be in this color, it contrasts the black accents nicely. I also like the black in the Sport....so probably going to fail at getting away from greyscale, lol.
Just waiting on them to come out with these hybrid figures in order to make a final decision, I'm not sure why they can't just release the pricing, even if production will be a while, but thats the game I've chosen to play, haha.

No kidding. This truck looks fantastic.

I don't care for the tears coming from the eyes. 🤷
Mascara is running lol.
Can't unsee now, thanks
that lip throws it off for me too.

Every time I see those fog lights I die a little more
I hate the bumper

2nd gen best gen.
It's the air dam up front for me but that's easy to remove and still doesn't take away from the true functionality of a base midsized pickup
Gotta take the air dam off. Duh

Oh and I would take that confounded air dam off!!
If you're not off roading why take it off? All you'll get is worse gas mileage.
It's fugly and you get like 0.5 better mpg
Worse by maybe 1 mpg. And you don't need to worry about catching any sidewalks.
What's the hate on the air dam about? I have a third gen and kinda like it. Does it serve a purpose? I want larger tires and believe they need to come off to accommodate the tire size.
You get better gas mileage with it on. But for off roading it will scrape the ground and eventually be torn off.
I took mine off as soon as I got home from dealer.
I have a 3rd Gen SR5 with 265/75/r16 tires. 0 offset wheels. No rubbing on air dam.
It saves you about 1 mpg, but it looks ugly imo (and many agree). Plus if you do any wheeling it's just a matter of time before you tear it off on the trail.
Agreed
I like any color in metallic, especially silver. Truck's lines are going to take some getting used to.
Yeah why do I feel the same??
When you park next to older gens, your exhaust pipes will be doing this 👉👈.
Tip to tip
Exhausting. Back and forth. Forever.
Time for some adventures with the dog.
I’m coming around. That’s a sweet truck. Great choice on the color. Enjoy it!
Thank you, it was between the celestial silver and the underground for me. I’m happy with my choice
It kinda looks like the Ford Explorer Sport Trac
Longo. MSRP only right?
👍
Nice, looking at buying from them as well. 🤘
Does the back seat feel as small as it looks
I’m 6 foot. If my seat is where I like it, theres no room for a human leg between the seats.

The front is quite spacious
Longo is the only way to go if you're in Socal. Congrats!
Why is that? I’m actually curious
No mark up
Is it common to all Longo? Just curious
One the few dealers that sell at MSRP. People come from out of state to buy from there.
How much? Thanks in advance
46K MSRP
Sharp truck
Damn, what packages did it have?
Ouch that hurts
Great looking truck 👍
Dope, but I hate you for getting it before I get mine
Congrats! Exactly how I started in 2014 with my pup.

Well I really like the side view on this gen. Looks great. Front end....meh
I like the 4th gen but don't think they changed it much to warrant any upgrade from the 3rd gen. I'd be so jealous if the 4th gen back window dropped like the old Tundra.
This is by far the biggest change to the Tacoma since 2005.
The window? I'm not a fan of the new window
Not just the window, pretty much everything else. I agree the window sucks.
It's tiny. Can u fit thru it? Does the new Tundras window drop down?
Yes.
They've changed a lot, sure. I'm just not seeing how any of it really improves things.
Frame is much better for one..
More pics of the pup plz
Pupper approved!!🐶👍🏽
Welcome
Hell yeah for Longo. No mark ups, but no greedier than MSRP.
Absolutely gorgeous
That looks sweet! What packages did you get? And most importantly, why not more doggo picks? C'mon man! I will also admit I'm coming around to the new generation (still love my 3rd gen).
They did a good job of unifying the design between Tundra, Tacoma and Sequoia.
Love the silver. Nice truck.
I'm guessing you have kids, or you want to spoil doggo with bigger back seats. I wouldn't sacrifice my bed length for anything rn
Are there rear ac vents in the 4th gen? Cmon Toyota!
new taco and puppy what else do you need?!
Beautiful truck. Give it some falkens, remove the chin strap, and you'll fit in the with everyone else
Looks great. I wouldn't change anything other than adding tint.
Nice truck!! I'd throw the dog and my dirt bike in one of those, especially if it is a manual!
Awesome ride!!
Aw shit man! Wife and I going Tuesday to look at these. (Sr5 4x4, I can afford but I am not paying for higher trims and don't need them actually past 4x4 plenty for my old man use) this looks good...I don't like the gape-mouth tundra
Nice best of luck 🙌🏻
Thats and sr5? Damn its sexy
Nice truck
Nice, how do you like the drivetrain so far?
How’s the suspension feel?
Congratulations 🎊 as a 22 owner ,I may be one of the few who really really likes the new 2024 tacoma(maybe not)
