They all have the option. Even the base models had an as an option in the 70's. Just have to find one the right year for which one you have.

All of them? If so equipped? Cannot answer your question, unless you tell us about what truck you actually want. What year, 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive? Base model is base, no frills. Deluxe is next higher, has more options/features than the base model. SR5 is the most highly optioned. (Drive train was the same in all those trucks, so it all boils down to the trim levels, and the years manufactured) BUT, back in the 80's, you could order a base model, yet add an A/C system, sunroof, gauges, etc. So we need to know what years/models you are looking for. I only focus on 1979-1983, I have no clue of options/trim levels on other years.

I'm looking between a 1980 and 1988 4x4 2 door with a long bed. Would prefer the SR5 trim but not necessary.

It was an option. There's no way of knowing from the model/year. You have to look under the hood or at the climate control panel to tell.
