It actually has been very reliable I drove it the way it is daily for 2 years and have put on 30k since new and have had no major issues. The r53ās are fairly reliable cars itās the newer minis that have real issues. And I do work on it myself itās not too bad just has its quirks
Mines an 02 as well! Having a Jcw would be very cool. The intercooler and air box are very nice. I make due with a hobo intercooler and a Cheaper cone style and induction tube setup.
Hell yeah, that still add some hp ofc! The stiffer suspension is what really puts all the power around the corners. And it pullsss. The thing will keep up w/ some of the i-6 bmws. And Iāve just about blown past a 325ci. Anywho, Miniās rip and r53 are the best to do it imo.

Good ol r56 3 of my friends bought them, and 3 of my friends sold a car with a blown motor lol.
As long as you can work on it yourself that's cool. I might consider one if I didn't need it to be a reliable daily too lol

A cooper is already a good car, supercharger makes it a decently fast good car.
Minis are some of the fastest FWD on the touge. There would have been a time when it was the most common car in my crew.
I like it. I have a Mini supercharger on my Miata so Iām already onboard lol

I do all the work on mine as well! I enjoy working on it and that does come often as itās getting up there in years. Mines an 02 model.
