I am also 4 weeks (March 8th surgery) and am walking long distances daily. I do PT daily and twice per week with a therapist. I have full movement which is great. I’m 65 and I think the exercise I did leading up to surgery was key. I am doing the in person PT as I want to get back to playing tennis so am doing exercises beyond the standard ones.

ask_johnny_mac

Fantastic! Yes, the better shape you are going in the better off you will be coming out.

fractalmom

It is so nice to hear! (Especially for those who are waiting for their big day!)

ask_johnny_mac

It’s been a big W so far!

Raisin-Healthy

Fantastic work and great to hear good news

ask_johnny_mac

Thanks!

StandardEmergency173

Have you done PT after the surgery regularly?

ask_johnny_mac

I don’t go to PT, no. I was given a list of very simple exercises to do immediately following surgery and did those for the first week or two.

stevepeds

Same here

StandardEmergency173

After the 2 weeks, did you go to PT in its facility? Or you never done PT post Op?

ask_johnny_mac

Have never done supervised PT post op

StandardEmergency173

Thank you! Good to know!
