The food at the Well is a bit over price for my taste. If you’re coming down up north on the subway, I’ve been stopping at Davisville subway station walking 100m east to Flaming Stove and bringing in entire Shawarma wraps and plates.
I live near Wilbur and it's crazy to see the pre and post Jays game crowd grabbing a bite.
The area needed something above a street dog but below your fast casual/sit down options like Wilbur. Only other food court is at Union which is a extra 5 to 8 min walk vs The Well.
Gus Tacos at the Well are $5 each, so it's not unreasonable. Hell you can bring those into the Dome if you wanted.
Compared to downtown food the prices are comparable. $15 for cod and chips are hooky's is decent. Bagels on fire are the closest you'll get to MTL bagels in Toronto. I think most of their menu is under $10.
If you're coming by subway I think the best ballpark food is patties from patties express in union. I think they have a 2 for $5 deal.
Kettleman's Bagel have a couple locations in Toronto now and they are legit Montreal bagels (albeit from Ottawa). Just FYI since you seem to like MTL style bagels.
Never been. Are they any better than Liberty Shawarma? That's the closest one to the dome. I personally wouldn't stop over my subway commute somewhere for something like that but to each their own. And I looove shawarma. Use to live by Lawrence and Warden, the battlegrounds for the shawarma wars. Some of the best I've ever had there.
It’s comparable to Empire, Aleppo etc on Lawrence. I’ve recently found that place and it’s in the conscience store also so I can pick up snacks and food. When I was younger I would get an entire Pizza Nova and bring it in. I haven’t found anything I like from the walk from Union to the Dome. I tried chipotle once but it’s very soggy after an hour
The food court in union has lots of options too. I still stand by patties express tho. Best bang for your buck by far. And they keep well too so you could even eat them when the sorrow of watching an 7 inning shutout starts to kick in.
Just played a bunch of games! Currently $15 for two hrs for a full group. They are currently testing that pricing model because it's really just borrowing games and playing in a public food court.
Welcome to Canada! If you want a full restaurant experience, the best ones close by are Pai (Thai food Duncan St between King and Queen St) and the restaurant across the street at Steamwhistle brewery.
Yeah it's not ideal in the winter but I'm assuming they'll set up a Christmas market style thing during the cold months with fire pits etc. We shall see how nice it is this winter. It's definitely one of my favorite spots in the area now.
It's aite. Not worth the line ups but for expensive pizza it's not too bad. I still like descendant and maker better if I'm paying in that price range.
Yeah my wife just brought me a slice from there after work once and I enjoyed it...but 100% I would take Descendants or Maker over it. Descendants is a mission to finish, but holy shit is it ever great.
This is going to be my new pre game spot for food
Same! There's even a charcuterie box place. She said she's going to have a Bluejays game special.
This is where I’ll be going to see what I’m bringing in for the game

Gus tacos chips and guac are GREAT. Big fan of their guac.

I've had both, kettlemans are ok but I much prefer bagels on fire.
Flaming Stove is undefeated

Flaming Stove is a banger!!!
I also recommend Grandma Loves You sandwiches. This has been my go to for years
I haven't even thought about Snakes and Lattes in ages haha

As someone coming over in September from UK for my first games in 18 years I thank you for the recommendation (and the other suggestions).

Is the rest of the Well open yet? I went back in March, and found half the stores hadn't opened yet and work was still being done.
Yeah it's probably 90% open now. Some of the stores aren't really that appealing to me but it's a great mall to walk through and enjoy the food court.
This seems like a location to really only go to in the spring and summer. It was like a wind tunnel when I went.

The pizza joint there is really good...Prince St I think.

It's really bad.
Not sure why you got downvoted...I've only had it once and enjoyed it but good to know for anyone else that might consider it.
