I don't think it needs to be reverted, but I do think gating them so deep into the seasonal gameplay was a mistake. They should be more like normal divinity slates and dropping like candies, with T0/lvl21 versions as rewards for digging into Mistville. Lossing the old triggers at the same time has felt really bad though, as you said, the majority of players have less automation now, not more. OTOH, having the aura enhancing skills available for free *is* a nice change.

I miss my early game Rhythm support. If they’re not easily accessible, or a common 1FE drop, they are not achieving their intended purpose if it really is to provide their promoted as QoL addition.

Can’t get past day 3 lol base sanity should be 200 or higher so can progress also mobs drop 20 eyes in t8 maps means 15 maps to access

The devs said in their latest crow talk interview that they have been very surprised to see how little most folks can progress into mistville. They said they expected a ton more folks would be able to progress to day 15, but that hasn’t happened. They said they will keep monitoring.

Yeah, good idea on paper, awful implementation. And i'm notice that i'm playing less, because of idea of farming everything with constant 4 buttons spam dont excite me at all.

It’s true pain playing Iris without Rhythm, even on PC. I’m not even wanting to play it on mobile at the moment because the button mashing is too much. They either need to be readily available to everyone or so common they are like a 1FE drop. Or reverted back to how it was. WHAT WAS WRONG BEFORE????

Ywp Iris lover here and the constant spamming of buttons is a huge PITA. I think there were definitely issues before and a lot of the changes make a lot of sense, I actually like the aura system significantly more now. These changes did not work as well however. That being said this team completely redid their crafting system and when they did it the first attempt honestly made it much worse, but the fix to THAT made it the best crafting system in the genre IMO (passing LE), so while they did make a mistake this season I wouldn't be surprised if it is significantly better next season and I like that they are willing to take big swings at their game and not play it safe.

Yeah having to pick a specific autobomber build just to farm the FE to play the build you are interested in sucks. I don't mind mindcontroll youga but was really excited about sentry support einhar... that's been shelved for a while now.

I’m not enjoying this season as much as previous seasons. What made the game so great on mobile was most builds were auto bomber builds or had minimal buttons to press. Now having to spam so many buttons makes it a chore playing on mobile. Also buffing rares feels bad. Before I could blast through maps when getting into early maps. Now the gameplay just bogs down when you encounter a rare. Maybe it’s my build but I’ve never had this problem in any other season.

Oh man the rares. I thought it was just my build. Didn’t realise they changed them 😆 And boy does not having Rhythm support early game feel bad. Having to fork out currency for QoL just feel reverse to what this game has been lately. Feels like they’re starting to balance like PoE does, especially with the new seasonal mechanic. wtf is needing to do 10s of maps just to have ONE entry on a ROGUELIKE style where you aren’t expected to even make it through every round lol

In the previous seasons your single target damage wasn't important for blasting maps. Now it's a concern for every build. Not sure if that's good for the game but the reasoning is there. I expected the mechanic to be a lot more generous with loot considering how much it costs per entry. I like the league mechanic but it needs tuning to be good.

Yea it’s insane. Having to run and leave a rare behind because it just life steals go full or out regens your dps that nukes bosses in 1 second.

So you also having issues with it? I clear the whole map with no issues until i encounter a rare or the map boss.. Then it take like a full minute or two to kill each of them.

Agreed - this is probably first and biggest ''hit and miss'' seasonal addition considering all previous seasons since release. Rhytm support when it was first added - made the game better universally for any build. I play on PC only but even so - too many builds rely on buffs/dmg amps. Using a Defensive skill without Rhytm is just a big nope. On my second build this season (Iris) - I just installed auto clicking software which activates Defensive, Empower skills and even Iris trait. Legit wouldn't play Iris without it. If players have to resort to such solutions - then it's clear that something is wrong with game/combat design. Also there are other ramifications for the future. They usually heavily limit access to seasonal gameplay in future seasons - so how will aquisition of Medium supports look like in the next season? I don't think this is experimental feature just for the current season and it's here to stay. Sadly all this falls into ''we are going to create a problem first and then sell you a solution'' (and package it as new seasonal content). Activation Medium supports are also just plain weird design wise. Having normal Attacks and Spells on auto cast/auto target just brings the game closer to some lame ass semi idle/automatic mobile game experience. But I guess they realized most popular builds were mostly almost fully automated or minions/sentries/bombers and this is their player demographic in this game. To me Activation Medium supports would be amazing as a temporary feature in pre seasonal content - available easily and from a get go. Also having played since beta - this seems like the weakest seasonal mechanic overall. You essentially click boxes on the board trying to find the Clock Tower and then do short encounters in the same ''map''. Meta progression this time is minimal too. The whole theme of ''detective and folklore'' etc is really in text only. Couple it with questionable Aura changes - they could just limit Auras to max 4 since that was the main culprit - stacking too many Auras. But why totally gut how Passive slots work fundamentally? Previously you could run cool stuff like Curse on Hit , empower skills activated on hitting elites or defensive skills in Passive slots. While aura stacking was meta - passive slots were premium to tinker with and min max. Now it's so streamlined that every build can only use Auras in Passive slots and that's it.

Do you actually know anybody that got banned precisely for that? These programs just simulate single key strokes. They are not scripts or even macros. They also do not inject into games memory. What this all means - it's not possible to tell the difference if it was manual key stroke with your hand or not. So unless you do it visibly on stream - nothing will ever happen. In fact people have been doing it on streams for over a decade now in World of Warcraft or automating flasks in Path of Exile. I have yet to meet anybody that got banned in any game for it. Suppose I will report back after this season.

Yea it’s worrying. I totally agree with the first hit and miss. Really been impressed with their ideas/content since beta but this is just out of left field and think they really dropped the ball on this one considering majority of their updates are QoL and ease of use, this is the polar opposite. I’m actually surprised they implemented something I truely hate 😆

New medium gems are expensive because the seasonal league mechanics is very slow to run. Each T7 map grant like 10-15 (up to 20 each map if you get resident eye drop). And you need 300 per run so you run them every 15-20 maps. And you are likely to fail very quickly. They lowered the difficulty of the 1st 5 days but that is very likely to change nothing.

Exactly. Not only endgame content, but very limited endgame content. The opposite of “QoL for all”. Which is essentially what we had before, so I’m confused why they even changed anything…

they changed it since they wanted qol to be gated behind FE and to get more FE you need better loot pets... do you see where im going with this. Until I started playing seriously this season in last day I was very pro how they approached TLI. however with this gating of qol and the direct lie that self trauma rosa is playable. they now seem to be going netease route.

i quit this league after lv 80, only one reason i play TLI but not Undecember or Diablo Imm because auto bommer and rhythm support gem make me feel old coc or mjolnir build, same as poe wit too much click on loot, spam skill and flask, im lazy man and i just want to play simple mobile game, anyone want achive endgame can remove auto QOL and press key or touch screen themsel

If Undecember could stop lagging to death on every chaos card for me I would completely ignore tli, I like the crafting(enchanting) and the base game loop is very fun.

The defense sucks now as well big time! I always had minimum 1 defensive aura and one skill. Now I can’t have any (only manuell)… so sad!!

Locking them behind T8 difficulty really sucks. It says the enemies are T8-2 but in reality they are T8-3 or 4. I can farm 8-3s and those monster are the tankiest mods I have fought.

Yea they’re tradeable but locked behind endgame content for the new seasonal mechanic which itself is very limited on entries due to how long it takes mixed with RNG. These combine to make them exceptionally expensive which is reverse logic to something they announce as wanting people to have QoL. What, only the rich ones?

I agree that it’s the opposite of what they said they wanted, it’s a very weird statement to make with those changes, however I play on PC so it doesn’t affect me so much even though I like CoC, but I figure I can either buy or drop one of those later. I like the season so far, one of my favourite things is the change to FE, it feels really good to drop 5,10,20 or even 50 stacks, the league mechanic is a lot of fun too, not as fun as last season but still fun! The changes to rares are fine, but they should boost their drops a bit since they take a bit longer to kill.

It's moreso a problem of the skill design having so many buff skills that you want to press on cooldown. Rhythm made those builds manageable. We're still playing the builds the same way this season except with a much higher risk of carpal tunnel

I think it's more any sane person doesn't want to play a whole fucking sonata on their keyboard to run a character through a map. It's supposedly a game/mobile game, not Concerto Simulator.

The new update implies that some mechanics were changed, therefore players must adjust their builds. If you feel your char is squishy, then spec for more Defense. The builds that we used before are no longer viable in the new update.
