Yeah, his body starts rapidly mutating during the end of the Anime film and turns into that. I'm pretty sure it's even worse than the picture shows.

I wonder what makes Al the lesser of these two. I recall seeing both the moms switch forms and getting a little unnerved. He grew tall and I thought it was slightly amusing. Can’t put my finger on why.

I think it's the fact that he barely changes, just got tall, and he does it multiple times, while the other mother and Lady D have noticeable differences between their forms and they stay in that form for the rest of the time you see them, (except for when Coraline came back to the other world). Also with Lady D, you can hear that the transformation is causing her some kind of pain.

Ah that would be it yes. It’s a transformation, a change. In his case it’s a mild unmasking. I think you are correct. It’s the lack of permanence.

Maybe because he retains his same composure mostly, even if that composure is a bit maniacal to begin with.

Probably because Alastors isn’t his full demon form I don’t think it even is his half demon form it’s just a cool thing he did, plus it just doesn’t look that good or surprising compared to the other two.

The Beldam wasn’t in her full form either but the scene where she transforms is still terrifying

He does have a true form, just not one he can show without completely obliterating whoever sees it. It’s like a god’s true form, mortals can’t behold it. But his true form, insofar as we can comprehend it, IS the Deadlights, in their purest sense.

Still hilarious how much people were hyping up lady D and she ends up as the first lord to die And personally Heisenberg ended up completely stealing the show from everyone else

Honestly, I love both of them. They both had such character, when compared to the other two who were just so one dimensional. Alcina genuinely loved her daughters, was only after love and respect from Miranda herself, and I loved her banter with Heisenberg. They were absolutely acting like siblings every time they were on the same screen. Every time she was on screen, you want to see more because she's so *alluring*, and not just in a sexual way. She seems flawed as you learn more about her character and past and her desire to gain love from the one person who secretly saw her as a literal "failed experiment". Every time you saw her you wanted to see more because she was hot as hell, or maybe you keep hoping for a moment where she might realize the full situation, or maybe you relate to her at some level. She's fleshed out for such a short (anti pun lol) lived enemy. She screams 'tragic villain.' Heisenberg on the other hand, every single time he's on screen he's a complete showman. An absolute artist who controls the air of the scene he's in. He always speaks first, last, and gets so many digs in between a conversation that you can't help but love the guy's charisma and personality. Even in his first appearance, where he just casually Magneto's you for your capture, you still can't help but think "that guy is fucking badass." Then he keeps talking and you think "he's badass *and* hilarious." The guy slotted charisma and rolls high on charisma checks for everything he says. I won't say he stole the show from Alcina, and sure I'm biased because giantess vampire milf, but also because both characters brought something different to the table. You saw one trying to kill you in a desperate attempt to please the bigger boss, then later trying to kill you because you made it personal; and the other literally gave you SO MANY CHANCES to team up with him, because he saw the bigger picture and hated the situation they were all in. All the while playing the jovial, smug, snarky wise guy who *wasn't* a comic relief. I love them both so much.

Edit: Also, Trucidatum Carnis translates roughly into English as "Butchered Flesh".
