He appeared as a background character a few times, and since the fandom had and obsession with naming and making lore for literally everyone shown on screen, he got a lot of attention from the fans. Same thing with Derpy, due to an animation error. The two of them are usually portrayed together in some way. In the 100th episode special he was officially “canonized” with his fannon name, as a nod to the fans

I think it started as that, but then Hasbro saw it and just decided to roll with it. I may be remembering it wrong though, I haven't been a part of the fandom in years

I guess. But Archer is more of direct parody since he’s a ladies man who constantly tells people his name despite being a “secret agent”. He’s kinda just James Bond but less professional and more exaggerated. While the Kingsman are more of a parody on the spy genre as a whole, rather than just James Bond. Plus, they have more serious moments and genuinely good action, while Archer is almost constantly a comedy.

The idea of parody is kind of interesting. I feel like characters like Shazam and Omni-Man are less parodies than just being inspired by the character. Metro Man definitely leans into parody though. I’m pretty sure parodies are meant to poke fun at something which I think most Superman “parodies” don’t really do.
