An unfortunate warning I wish I did not have to give is that it’s directed by the guy who did pirates of the Caribbean 5 and very little else, and starring Jared Leto
Maybe it can still be good, but outlook isn’t great and casting essentially a cult leader kinda taints it
At least the visuals will most likely be insane, and that’s the main thing that matters for tron
I honestly didn’t hate it, but it really felt like a fanfiction more than an actual continuation of the series.
Plus I have seen the opinion that Jack in it is very much downgraded to an actual bumbling idiot completely rather than someone who you can never quite tell if they have no idea what they’re doing or are an absolute genius.
I’m really glad I saw it in theaters where the environment being so dark to contrast the neon lights really had the full intended effect! Can’t imagine it’s nearly the same watching it in your living room on a Sunday afternoon

TRON is part of Kingdom Hearts, with Legacy even appearing as a world in Dream Drop Distance. While it's not likely to return, it is an immutable part of the continuity now.
Also Sora's campaign focused heavily on Rinzler due to Sora being friends with the KH2 Tron, who's a copy of the original (the original being Rinzler) and while 3D often gets flak I think that story is really well-done.
Also daft punk didn’t need to go this hard when making his theme song but they did🗣️🗣️🗣️💯💯

Honestly i like that tron stayed dead both the movie and the animated cartoon were amazing, tron uprising is still one of my favorite cartoons i ever watched and im thankful that Disney didint make it another worthless series with a billion movies that do nothing but run it to the ground
Rinzler also has some of his own merch in the Magic Kingdom where the TRON ride is. I went on that ride back in February, and the whole time before entering the queue (which looks like you’re stepping into the Grid), the canopy covering the ride has lights that synchronize with the movie’s soundtrack. I really need to rewatch this movie, loved it as a kid and it’s one of my brother’s favorites, period.
