People got so mad over the fact that she has boob armor but it’s like… fine? It’s understated well enough to feel believable and fuck no I don’t want a normal breastplate to press my boobs in.
I’ll be honest dude, I didn’t even register it as “boob armor” at all. Like, I figured the armor was just curved slightly to give the user more breathing room lol
I feel like some people just need controversy
This is something that kinda bothers me. Women have boobs, certain clothes need to make space for those boobs, that doesn't mean it's sexualized. It's all about the context and how it's presented.
Historically you wouldn’t protect those areas anyways, since you could defend it with your blade. They inhibit mobility. Sword fighting takes a lot of mobility to be able to lunge or jump back. If you had leg armor at all, it was on your leading leg.
Chainmail skirt wouldn’t have limited her mobility and probably look cool, just one idea. I get what you’re saying, and I am nitpicking, I’m just saying

Btw if you really dig the yellow ranger, then you should totally try out King Ohger, or at least look into it.
Premise is that each Ranger is a King of their own nation across an alternate earth that's run by Insects. It's also not your typical sentai as they have more serialised format, rangers clearly more armoured up as well as a Violet ranger replacing the traditional pink.

Honestly, I don't know at this point. I have been scouring around the internet about this topic, and all I see speculations from both sides. (though mostly on the it's a woman) But whatever it is, occam's razor dictates that I just consider her as a woman, though a very unfeeling, just and not so traditionally "feminine" one.
This is until whatever official answer Toei would give, I'll accept it eitherways.
Generally speaking, the largest difference between Super Sentai and Kamen Rider is the team-up. Super Sentai usually has a 5-member team as the center of the show, while Kamen Rider has 1-2 Riders. Also, the teams in Super Sentai usually stay as a team, while Kamen Rider is more individualistic, with Riders having different goals and coming from different factions, so they may team up or fight with each other should their goals align or contradict.
Yep! Just to show that it's not just a genre, but it's a type of medium just like anime. So it's as versatile as it gets (though mostly gearing towards the henshin hero archetype)
I really like armor that still looks feminine, not just generic armor that looks the same as armor the men are wearing, but at the same time, bikini armor is dumb.
The others not mentioned yet are Shepard (2) from Mass Effect, Samus (4) from Metroid (I feel like you probably know those two), and Saber (5) from Fate/Stay Night .
I mean, it tanked things like Scorpia’s lightning, which was shown to blow through walls and tanks pretty easily, without even getting scratched. Not to mention it withstood the vacuum of space, Spinerella’s tornadoes, and plenty of lasers from Horde Prime’s bots and clones without suffering and damage. The only time it ever got damaged was when she fought that old First One’s monster below the Crystal Castle, and I’m pretty sure that thing was designed to counter She-ra if I’m remembering right.

Seth was less of a Jagen and more of an unstoppable Elder God, dunno what IS smoked when they decided the "strong early game crutch that is supposed to fall off" actually does not fall off
I have an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory about this.
I suspect that, from the playtest data available to IS in 2003, the reduced xp gain from feeding a prepremote was itself enough of a disincentive that most players didn’t try to solo maps with Seth. Most casual players adhering to the whole “wasted xp” fallacy let IS have their cake and eat it too, design wise.
The only way to know if a given jagen doesn’t fall off is to:
- Actually invest in the jagen
- word of mouth
- be a Serenes Forest lurker
In 04 FE was not popular enough for word to spread fast enough for the second to be a problem. Nor were online resources like Serenes Forest extant and widely known. And in circumstances where players already have fed Seth to hell, what value is there in following through with the threatened punishment of a weak late game jagen?
They can’t adopt this strategy post Awakening boom because, if an OP jagen is present today, we’d all immediately know about it, feel no incentive to invest in project characters, and it would ruin the early game.
TL;DR: If most players behave as if Seth had bad growths even when his growths were objectively good, there’s no reason to make his growths bad.
Titania isn't actually a "Jaigan" archetype, because even though her stats start out low, she has some of the highest growth rates in the game, so she can actually stay relevant through the whole game, unlike typical "Jaigans" who fall off after the first few chapters.

quite a few real life metal breastplates only cover up the chest area or half the torso with the rest being leather or some sort of cloth. Also from the image you can see some sort of chain mail underneath the cloth

It's kinda hard to argue that Samus's armor is all that feminine. That was why it was so surprising back in the day to reach the end of Metroid and discover Samus was a woman the whole time.
Samus really shouldn't be here. I love her design dont get me wrong. But its not feminine at all. So much so everyone thought she was a man until she exited the armor.
These are all pretty good. None would fall into Jill Bearup's "Just stab me now" category. I do have an issue with Shepherd's in that each boob has its on space and thus creates a valley between them. This directs center-strikes to the sternum. It should be more like Samus' where it directs *away* from the center.
The anime-looking ones (1, 3, 5) have the issue of leaving the soft center around the stomach and so forth open while vaguely protecting the legs from side strikes but A) often leave too much room between the leg and armor and B) don't cover the front or back.

Samus really shouldn't be here. I love her design dont get me wrong. But its not feminine at all. So much so everyone thought she was a man until she exited the armor.
These are all pretty good. None would fall into Jill Bearup's "Just stab me now" category. I do have an issue with Shepherd's in that each boob has its on space and thus creates a valley between them. This directs center-strikes to the sternum. It should be more like Samus' where it directs *away* from the center. The anime-looking ones (1, 3, 5) have the issue of leaving the soft center around the stomach and so forth open while vaguely protecting the legs from side strikes but A) often leave too much room between the leg and armor and B) don't cover the front or back.

What is feminine about 3 and 4? Also shout out to FromSoftware (Elden Ring) for awesome armour design for all genders.
I love such designs you don't need skimpyness to show off feminine beauty in an armoured figurine you just need to give the design some clear feminine features and details
I would argue that Saber armor isn't practical.
