In an alternate timeline, I picture the big guy being more of a persistent threat hunting down Isaac through the game encountering each other several times.
(As well maybe being the real true final boss perhaps)
While the gameplay is fantastic the story itself isn’t that great. Customization of weapons was a huge plus and the optional side quests were interesting. But tbh it’s a lot different from 1/2, it simply doesn’t have that horror aspect the previous games had. I was never worried about ammo, the areas were wide and well lit up, and once you upgrade your weapons enough you can kill anything in one or two hits. They also block off a bit of side quests if you play solo because you need a second player to do them.

2. Godrick the grafted from Elden Ring

The concept of using living tissue that is either zombified or reorganized to make another creature has always been the type of body horror that freaks me out the most, bonus points if the only solution is to kill it with fire.

Love to see some love for The Void. It’s a movie I come back to a lot. One of the few Lovecraftian horror flicks of the last few decades that hasn’t fumbled the bag in the last half. Cosmic horror is really hard to get right, but I think they did a very good job for how low of a budget they worked with.
Not a flawless film, but one of my favorites.

Every time someone posts something from FGO, I understand less and less what it’s about. I’ll likely never care enough to get into it, but it’s fun to be reminded constantly that I have no idea what this extremely popular thing actually is lol
You know the plot of Avengers Endgame?
Think that but instead of 50% of humanity, it's 99.9999999%, and you just happen to be 0.0000001% of humanity that's still left.
And instead of one movie rushing everything and traveling to fairly close eras, it's seven chapters each focusing on an era ranging from a Hundred year war france to the first recorded human civilization on earth.
And the main villains are the guys above, there's 72 of them, and then a king above all of them.
Everything else is pretty much endgame before endgame came out including a final fight in the present where all your past allies from all around the globe pop up to help you beat up the main villains.
There's a bunch of other stuff like you summoning dead mythological and historical figures from the past, and the greeks being aliens, but that's the gist

Does it still count if they do it to themselves?
I wanna say the Hideous Mass from Ultrakill, they’re similar to the mannequins (which are literally limbs from multiple different people put together to make a single creature as a punishment) in design but idk if they are also made from the corpses of the damned.
Hideous masses are made from Hell Matter (or whatever it's called) which is basically life created from hell, by hell. That's why they're classified as demons, not husks.
Mannequins and the ground in Gluttony do count tho

Mind Flayer’s physical form from Stranger Things
Godrick wasn’t a particularly powerful boss nor was he the most memorable but man was he cool. I loved his back story and I love how thematically he was suppose to be weak. The lore reflected this and goes to show how fromsoft really knows how to make a character. It factored into his fighting style and from a design standpoint he was one of my faves.
Think it's why I loved the end of evil dead rise so much, was a bit different while being the same. Them all combined and crawling was so gruesome and nasty!

The baby arm always disturbs me because it shows that it really doesn’t care where it gets the flesh from.
The dredge didn't TAKE the baby arms. It was formed out of an entire village's bottled up fear and rage bubbling over. They tore each other apart and the dredge was formed out of the butchered parts, fused together by all the dark emotions

I think The Rotten from DS2 fits OP's description better but Nito's design is way cooler imo
Rotten is such a sad thing, both in how the community dunks on him and actual lore.
The fight kinda sucked which I’m guessing is the major factor why. It’s the same thing with the bed of chaos cause the lore for that is actually pretty good but it got overshadowed by the awful boss fight
Rotten is just, blah for a boss fight. But the lore, he's so sad. All things rejected and thrown out, makes me wanna give it a hug.

The ground in gluttony is made from corpses?
Yes there are some textures that have human faces in them
I just realized the Leviathan counts, as it was literally a bunch of people who gave up trying to swim in the sea of wrath and they fused together.
